"What's the matter, Jane Hilton?" came the man's husky voice, tinged with a hint of desire.

Jane Hilton recoiled with disgust, holding the phone away from herself, but realizing halfway that Winston Barrymore couldn't see her reaction. He hastily brought it back, only to hear a coquettish voice beside him murmuring weakly, "Dear Barrymore, don't stop."

A shiver of revulsion ran through Jane Hilton's heart as he struggled to find his voice, "Mr. Winston, has Director James Cukor reported to you? I need to..."

"I know, two months," interrupted the phone call, accompanied by faint sounds of physical contact and a smattering of muffled noises.

Jane Hilton pressed his forehead, "Alright, you have my approval. A moment of bliss is worth a thousand words. Take your time."

"Okay."

Upon hearing his response, Jane Hilton swiftly hung up the phone and rushed to the kitchen for a gulp of cold water.

Dear Barrymore... tut-tut, amazed the girl could even speak this name.
