Augustus in his car read the mail sent by Luca to him. This time a detailed information about Eliana. “Thank you for coming in my life, Eli. Now, only you can save me,” Augustus muttered. He put the phone aside and started the engine. “She must be at the restaurant for her day job” he turned the steer wheel and drove to the restaurant which was mentioned in the details by putting the address in car’s GPS.
Eliana was hitting on her back as today there was more rush than actual. Her feet were hurting, standing and walking in those high heels. “This is the order for table 14” she heard and checked the food trolley.
“Eliana, there is someone looking for you at the counter. He even called the manager,” a waiter informed Eliana and told her to go out. Eliana nodded and walked out of the kitchen. She went towards the counter and saw Augustus there.
The manager of the restaurant saw Eliana and told her to come there. “You shall go with him. Don’t worry. Your wages for today will not get a cut,” the manager told Eliana who confusedly peered at him.
“But, Sir, why do I need to go with him?” Eliana questioned. The manager gave a tiny smile to Eliana and then looked at Augustus.
Augustus without giving an explanation grabbed Eliana’s wrist and dragged her out from there. She was telling him to leave her but he did not listen to her.
Opening the car’s door, Augustus pushed Eliana inside at the passenger seat and buckled up the seat belt around her. He did not want her to run away so, he quickly went to the driver’s seat and closed the doors from inside.
Eliana struggled to open the door. “Open it. You already ruined my morning shift and now you are behind my day shift!” Eliana shot a glare at him.
“I will pay you thousands times more than that so just listen to me and keep quiet,” Augustus proclaimed. Eliana still did not stop when Augustus started the engine and drove the car at its maximum speed. Eliana kept shouting at Augustus but he did not listen to her.
Fifteen minutes later, the car was stopped in some quiet place. The car door was opened and Eliana quickly got down from that. She went towards a tree and vomited there. Augustus too got down from the car and went to her. He patted her back when Eliana turned to him and slapped him hard on the cheek.
Augustus touched his cheek and chuckled. “Have you lost your mind?” Eliana questioned Augustus and placed her hand on her chest.
“I am in my right mind. If I had not driven like this then someone would have taken me away,” Augustus stated. Eliana did not pay heed to that and rested her back against the tree. Augustus went to his car and brought a water bottle from there.
“Here. Drink this,” Augustus forwarded the water bottle to Eliana who refused. Augustus opened the bottle cap and put the bottle’s mouth near Eliana’s lips. “Drink,” he said. Eliana grabbed the bottle. She first rinsed her mouth and then drank the water.
Eliana looked around and found they were near a church. “What do you want to talk about?” Eliana asked.
“Marry me,” Augustus replied.
“Pardon me?” Eliana knitted her brows. “You have indeed lost your mind,” Eliana said and walked past him when Augustus caught her wrist and pinned her against the tree.
“I have not lost my mind. A contract marriage with you, that’s all I needed,” Augustus affirmed. Eliana averted her gaze away from him.
“I know you won’t agree to me that easily. Your brother did a mistake by filling your candidature in my company. He is working on a big project. Do you want me to take action against him?” Augustus asked Eliana who now turned her gaze to pried into him.
“You are blackmailing me?!” Eliana questioned him.
“Sort of. Don’t blame me later that I took action against your brother. I found out that he is going to participate in the next week’s tech festival and let me tell you something interesting. I am the one of the judges of that tech fest,” Augustus proclaimed. Eliana was a little scared upon hearing the threats of the man in front of her.
“You are thinking right. I will reject his application no matter what how talented he is!” Augustus pronounced and grinned.
“Why do you want to do a contract marriage? Don’t take me wrong but I want to know the reason first before announcing my decision,” asserted Eliana.
Augustus gave a nod and told her how he would be forced to marry Gia if he would not marry by the evening.
“Then ask someone else. You can find many women for you. Why are you involving me in your family matters?” Eliana queried him.
“Because you are the most suitable for this contract marriage. You are a trained martial artist and I need a bodyguard as well. Luckily, you have all these qualities. There are benefits for you as well. I will look after you father and his treatment. I will not take any action against your brother and I will pay the entire debt which is only increasing year by year because of the interest rates,” Augustus affirmed and waited for Eliana’s response.
“I can take care of my own things. As for my brother, I apologize to you. He did all that because he wanted to see his sister working in a good company. If you want me to pay for the damage then I will do that too but I will not marry you,” Eliana asserted in her firm tone.
Augustus found that the woman in front of him had high self esteem and self dependency. He hardly encountered such a person in his life. For money people could do anything but this woman refused such an offer. He could not believe that such a person could exist in this era.
“Your apologies won’t going to benefit me in any way. Don’t blame me later for ruining your brother’s life. You have decided this. You will be bombarded with some new debts by this evening and I am afraid if you will be able to pay that in this lifetime to me! Your poor father might die because of the lack of the treatment,” Augustus gave the insight of bad things that would soon happen with Eliana.
“I saved your life that day. At least for that sake, let it go,” Eliana requested Augustus.
“You saved my life that’s why I am nice to you else by now your brother would have been behind the bars. Since he duplicated the documents for his beloved sister so he will get a severe punishment for that. He wanted to beautify the life of his sister but soon will end up destroying his own life thanks to his lovely sister,” Augustus asserted and smirked.
Eliana drew her brows together. She felt stuck for the first time in her life.
Eliana still wanted to negotiate with Augustus so she said, “You want me to be your bodyguard, right? Fine, I will do that. I will protect you. You can find some other woman to get into a contract marriage with you because I cannot do that.” Eliana expected for a positive answer from Augustus who refused that idea.“You are the one and only woman with whom I can get into this contract marriage. Others might rip me out of money later when the contract marriage period will get over,” asserted Augustus.“Why are you taking so much time in thinking? It’s a win-win for both of us. We will not expose it front of the world so that our lives can’t be hindered. You just need to act as my fake wife in front of my family for sometime. In the office, you will work as an assistant for me. I will take care of every other thing myself,” stated Augustus.Eliana was still hesitant but then Augustus was not ready to let
“It’s done, right? I need to leave,” Eliana pronounced when Augustus tightened his grip around her waist. “You cannot go. We just started. We need to first go to my home and then show my father that we are married,” Augustus pronounced.Eliana knitted her brows. “What would I say to my brother then? Do you want me to tell him that I married a strange man today,” asserted Eliana.“Indeed. If it is difficult for you then I can. Moreover, we two are husband and wife for a year so you need to live with me in my house. If we live separately, I am afraid that my father would suspect us. If you want your brother to stay in the same home then you can do that as well,” Augustus stated and then looked at Luca.“Get the car ready. We are leaving for Ferrari Mansion,” Augustus ordered Luca who nodded and left from there.“I cannot live with you. I will corporate with you in every stance but livin
Eliana and Augustus were inside the car, going to the Penthouse. “Umm… are you okay?” Eliana asked Augustus who was looking outside the window. Augustus turned his head towards Eliana and asked, “What if I am not okay?” Eliana had no answer regarding that. She stayed quiet for a few minutes when she opened her mouth to speak. “How will you tell my brother? Did you come with anything?” Eliana asked Augustus. “I need to tell him that you and I were in a secret relationship for over six months and then we decided to get married,” Augustus pronounced. Eliana with bewilderment looked at Augustus. “Do you think he will believe this? He knows his sister never dated anyone,” Eliana affirmed. “Eli, I would talk to him in my own way. Your brother will be delighted to see that his sister is married to the of the richest men of Italy,” Augustus stated. “But it is not something to be proud of! We both know that we don’t know each other,” Eliana asserted.
“Why are you staring at me? I know I look handsome but if you will keep staring at me like this then you might fall for me,” Augustus pronounced.Eliana averted his gaze from him and asked him about her belongings. “Luca might have put your satchel in the living room. Your clothes will be here in a while. You can use the washroom which is there,” Augustus pointed towards his left and continued, “I have an urgent call to do. Take you time.” Eliana nodded as she saw Augustus had walked out of the room. She went towards the door, gripping the bridal dress from near her thighs. Closing the door, she checked it of locked or not. “Ahh, what happened to this? Why is it not opening?” Eliana murmured and checked the handle. “I think it works like this,” Eliana thought and went to the direction of the washroom which Augustus had told her.She slid the door of the washroom and walked in. She was astonished to see
Augustus opened the door of the bathroom and took Eliana inside. “I will do myself,” Eliana whispered. Augustus smiled. “I am afraid but I think you might break more taps,” he taunted and twisted his lips. Eliana clutched the towel tightly. It never happened with her and it was the first time that the things got broken by her hands.“I think those taps have not enough tensile strength,” Eliana proclaimed. Chuckling Augustus looked at the woman. “Indeed, your hands are stronger than high speed steel,” Augustus commented and walked ahead. He opened the faucet and water started pouring in the bath tub.“Shower room is there, in case you need that and towels are there in that cabinet,” Augustus stated pointing his index finger towards the left. Eliana thanked him for the help. “I will wait for you outside.” He stepped out of the washroom, closing the door behind him.Eliana put the towel aside a
Eliana stared at Augustus for a few seconds and then said, “We need to talk.”“What do you want to talk about?” Augustus asked her as he saw her going towards the couch. He too followed her and stood in front of her.“I agreed to this marriage because you were going to end the career of my brother. You and I both know what a contract means. Since you know little about me, I would like to tell you that if you think I might fall for you just because you are providing me with these expensive clothes, which are hard for me to get, then you are wrong. If you try to touch me without my permission, then I will use strength, and trust me it is going to hurt you only.Another important thing is that
Eliana stared at him for a few seconds before speaking. “Did you never eat with your family?” Augustus put the napkin at the table and simply refused. “What about them? The one where you took me,” Eliana queried. “I know it is your personal matter, but I am just a little curious,” Eliana stated, as she picked the plates and almost stood up from the chair when she heard Augustus. “That is namesake family, but you are my family now,” Augustus stated, and gave her a bright smile. Eliana blinked once and then twice before getting up. What was she even expecting? Augustus was again playing with her. She picked the dishes and went towards the kitchen. She put them in the washbasin and opened the tap. Augustus walked behind her and stood beside her such that his back rested on the counter. “Leave them,” Augustus said. “No. Dirty Utensils shall not be left like this. You shall go to your room. The living room is quite big, so I have de
Bright sunny rays fell on Eliana’s face, which woke her up. She shut her eyes tightly as the luminosity of the rays was sharp. She felt the mattress was so soft. Pulling the blanket up, she covered her face thus, saving it from those sun rays. She turned her body to the left when she realized it was not any dream. Immediately, she threw the blanket away and sat up on the bed. “Ahh,” a sharp pain formed in her head. She held her head and gradually opened her eyes. She was on the bed. But how? Last night she was on the mini couch, then how did she end up on the bed. She looked around and found Augustus was not there. Checking her clothes, she heaved a sigh of relief. She tightly shut her eyes, trying to recall what she did last night. “That wine was strong. I should not have drunk that,” she murmured when she heard someone had slid the doors. She tilted her h
