[ Stephan ]

“Stephan? Are you being serious? Oh My God! You have a baby with a woman you don’t remember sleeping with and now you have proposed her to marry you?”

Tiffany exclaimed and her shrieked voice echoed in my sound proof office. I flinched as I hate noisy people and my sister was giving me serious headache.

“Can you be a bit civil, Tiff? You are giving me migraine and yes, I have a daughter with the woman whom you met during the bidding meeting and introduced her to me as your old friend.” I said.

Her eyes dilated as soon as I finished my sentence and once again she sprang up from her seat. Her face had turned pale.

“You..you..mean Olivia?” She asked me in a shaking voice and it made me confused why she looked so shocked.

“Yes, it was her. Now, you tell me what connection I had with her in the past? You have been out of the country for days and I had to wait for you to return but I couldn’t wait to see her flee with my child so I made a decision. I proposed a marriage which se

[ Stephen ]“Hey, man. Why are you sitting with a rotten face?” Brandon asked placing a can of soft drink in front of me and plopped down on the vacant chair.“Olivia has gone mad.” I said.My mood turned even bitter as her words kept resonating in my brain.“I am sorry, but what did your wise woman do this time?” He raised his brow at me, an indication to tell him everything in detail.“She wants me to take full and independent custody of Vivienne’s child. How can she propose something very absurd because I can’t accept it. My wife is a kind woman but she’s being unrealistic here.” I said, feeling frustrated.“Well, I am confused here because neither you nor she is wrong on your parts. I mean the baby is still yours, you can’t run away from this reality but at the same time, your feelings also matter. It’s not easy for you to embrace any of it.” He said.“Whatever, I won’t accept it. I love my family and I can’t see it crumbling just because my wife wants to be a motherly figure.” I

[ Olivia ]“Wanna name her too?” I asked my husband who was staring at our tiny baby girl who was snuggled on my bare chest after I was done feeding her.His stare was full of adoration for his child.“Don’t you want to name her since I named Aurelia?” He asked me, looking a bit surprised.“I named Emma and I think you deserve more. I had lived the whole parenthood with Emma, with all her firsts. I want you to play the role for our twins.” I answered with a smile. He leaned closer, his eyes lingering on his daughter.“Seraphina means angel. She’s like an angel in our lives, our youngest and she’ll be the most pampered girl in our family.” He said stroking her small head with his fingers.“Seraphina, it’s a beautiful name. It has same initials as yours.” I smiled widely because I really loved the names that he gave to our daughters.“Emma, Aurelia and Seraphina Hamilton. I never felt this much proud before.” He stated with so much pride in his voice.“They’re indeed your girls, Mr. Ham

[ Stephen ]“How do you know Tristan Quinn?” I asked the sly woman who was sitting in front of me with a nonchalant expression.“I don’t know what are you talking about. Of course, I know him but not personally.” She gave me the answer I already predicted.“Do not dare to lie or you won’t be leaving this place. At least, until I put you on your right place, Miss Fisher.” I warned her through gritted teeth. With her, I was running thin on my patience.“Congratulations, I heard that you became father of your twin girls. I hope they’re healthy. Soon, their half brother will also come into this world. They’ll grow up together.” She smiled widely but it wasn’t positive but full of maliciousness.“Do not take their names from your filthy mouth, Fisher. Anwer my question. How do you know Tristan Quinn? Because if I find out from another source, you’ll regret it.” I gave her my last warning.“Why does Tristan Quinn’s name bother you this much? Do you share a history with him as well?” Her lip

[ Stephen ]“Are you happy now?” I stroked Olivia’s hairs affectionately while she stared inside the NICU ward through the glass window. Our tiny daughter was inside an incubator with many tubes attached on her delicate body. It pained me to see her going through a hard time alone.“She also looks like me, I guess.” Olivia said amid her tears but there was a serene smile on her lips.“They’re identical twins so yeah, she also resembles you.” I said, we stared at our baby for several minutes until the nurse asked us to go back into Olivia’s room.It relieved me to see that she was feeling better than before. The doctor said by tomorrow, Olivia had to feed the baby.“Aren’t you going to the work today?” She asked me while I helped her to lay on the bed and covered her properly with the blanket. The nurse offered to help but I declined because I wanted to stay by her side as much as possible.“No, Ruby will manage in my absence and there’s no urgent meetings lined up for this week. I hav

[ Olivia ]“You are a big sister now, Emmy.” I cooed my eldest who was staring at her new born sister in daze.“Siss..” She wobbled as she couldn’t pronounce the word ‘sister’ and it made us chuckle seeing her priceless expressions.“Yes, princess. Your sister, Auri.” Stephen found a nickname for our little Aurelia who was sleeping peacefully in her cradle and we were having our family time.Temporarily, but I felt like we were relishing our old times, devoid of all the worries.“I wish our little one will join us soon, Steph. My heart pains when I imagine how must she be feeling. She’s all alone there when we’re enjoying our family time.” Fresh tears formed in my eyes.Stephen quickly wiped them and I noticed that Emma also frowned seeing my sad face.“Hey, don’t cry. She’s in good care.” He comforted me.“Mama..no..cry.” Emma imitated her father. Her cute actions brought a faint smile on my face and I gestured Stephen to bring Emma close to me since I couldn’t hold her.He immediate

[ Stephen ]Holding the new life that one creates with the person he or she loves the most, it is the most surreal feeling in the world.Beyond any worldly description, the feeling of becoming a parent, holding a new born in my arms staring back at me with her beautiful blue eyes.I didn’t hold back my tears when she smiled at me but when she started fussing and it made me panic.“Mrs. Bobby, why is she crying?” I asked the old woman who was filming our father-daughter moment.“Just rock her. She is feeling your touch.” She encouraged me.I did as she instructed. And she was right, my daughter calmed down once I rocked her.“She’s your princess. Just look at her, it’s not even an hour that she came into this world, she is already cozing up to her father.” Mrs. Bobby said.“She’s my little princess, my Auralia.” I said proudly as I named my first-born twin.“Auralia? You just named our daughter alone?”The faint voice of my wife forced me to turn and glance down at my beautiful wife wh
