Lila couldn’t move.

Her sister’s face — pale in the moonlight, pressed against the cabin window — didn’t look human anymore. Her eyes glowed with a strange, glassy focus, as if she wasn’t seeing Lila, but through her.

Cade reached for his gun. “Don’t,” Lila said quickly. “That’s my sister.”

He didn’t lower it. “That’s not your sister anymore.”

Before she could argue, the lights flickered. The single lamp in the corner sputtered and went black. The room plunged into darkness.

“Cade?”

“Stay still,” he whispered.

But the floor creaked — once, twice — and the faint sound of breathing filled the air. Lila turned toward the window. Riley was gone.

Then, from behind them, a whisper:

“Welcome home, little sister.”

Lila spun around, heart hammering. Riley stood in the doorway, calm and deliberate, her presence somehow heavier than the night itself.

“How did you—”

Riley smiled faintly. “You left the door open.”

Cade took a step forward, gun raised. “Don’t move.”

“Still playing soldier?” Riley m

  • CHAOS COLLEGE    THE AWAKENING

The warehouse trembled under the weight of the night. Every shadow seemed alive, stretching and twisting unnaturally as if reacting to the tension in the air. Sparks danced across shattered concrete, and flickering lights cast jagged patterns across the walls. Lila’s chest heaved, her aura pulsing red and black like a living storm. Harper’s voice slithered through her mind, venomous and insistent:You cannot control me forever… You will falter… You will fail…Not tonight, Lila thought, aura flaring brighter, energy spiraling outward like fire. I am in control now. I survive. I fight.Cade’s fists clenched as he stood beside her, eyes scanning every flickering shadow. Adrian hovered slightly behind, his psychic energy coiling protectively around her like a living shield. The two were her anchors, steady against the chaos threatening to rip her apart. Then, at the far edge of the warehouse, a pulse of energy illuminated the darkness. Lila froze, every instinct screaming danger. The puls

  • CHAOS COLLEGE    SHADOWS UNLEASHED

Chapter 25 — Shadows UnleashedThe warehouse trembled as Evelyn and Riley surged forward, their combined auras radiating power that made the air itself hum with tension. Sparks danced across the cracked concrete floors, and twisted shadows flickered across the walls, like the remnants of a storm clawing at the edges of reality.Lila planted her feet firmly, aura flaring red, pulse racing. Harper’s whispers were insistent, a low, venomous hiss: You cannot win. You are mine. Submit, or fall. No, Lila thought, aura spiraling brighter, I am me. I fight. I survive.Cade and Adrian flanked her, both tense, prepared for the onslaught. Cade’s hands clutched the makeshift metal weapon, ready to strike. Adrian’s psychic energy coiled around him, subtle but sharp, ready to reinforce Lila at a moment’s notice. The mysterious newcomer, the guide who had taught Lila to contain Harper, hovered at the far edge of the room, energy crackling, observing and directing her movements.Evelyn struck first.

  • CHAOS COLLEGE    THE HIDDEN THREAT

The night was deceptively quiet. Outside the warehouse, the city slept—or at least it seemed so. The distant glow from the ruins of the base still smoldered, a faint reminder of the chaos that had almost claimed them. Lila’s body ached, but her mind refused rest. Harper’s whispers were low but persistent, like the hum of electricity in a dark room:You cannot escape me. I will find a way. I am inevitable.Lila shivered but held her ground. You are weakened. I control you now. You exist because I allow it.Her aura shimmered faintly, red light curling around her like protective flames. Cade sat near the edge of the warehouse, sharpening a metal pipe with meticulous precision. Adrian pored over maps and device schematics, his focus absolute. The three of them were preparing for the unknown—but the unknown had arrived sooner than expected.A sudden pulse of energy radiated from the far end of the warehouse. It was faint at first, just a flicker in the darkness, but it quickly intensified

  • CHAOS COLLEGE    AFTER MATH AND SECRETS

The night air was thick with smoke, ash, and the lingering scent of burned metal. Lila, Cade, and Adrian stumbled out of the ruins of the base, their lungs aching from the heat and suffocating smoke. Sparks still flared from scattered debris, creating a chaotic staccato of light that flickered across their exhausted faces.Lila sank to the ground, her chest heaving, legs trembling. She had survived—but only barely. Harper’s residual energy still pulsed within her, faint but dangerous, like a coiled snake ready to strike.Adrian knelt beside her, carefully examining the red aura that shimmered around her, weakened but not gone. “You’ve done incredibly well, Lila,” he said softly. “You’ve managed to push Harper back almost entirely. But she’s still there. You need time to recover.”“I know,” Lila muttered, wiping soot from her cheek. Her hands shook slightly as she flexed them, feeling the lingering psychic tremors. “But she’s not gone. Not really. And Evelyn… Riley… they’re still out t

  • CHAOS COLLEGE    LEAP OF FATE

The fissure split the corridor like a wound through steel and concrete. Smoke billowed in jagged clouds, sparks dancing across the collapsing walls. Lila’s chest burned as she assessed the gap: too wide for a normal jump, too unstable to attempt climbing.Harper whispered inside her mind, sharper and crueler than ever: You are mine. You will fail. You cannot survive. Not today, Lila thought, her aura flaring brighter, red energy spiraling around her like a living shield. I choose me.Cade’s voice cut through the chaos. “Lila! You have to jump! We don’t have another choice!”Adrian added, “Trust yourself! Trust your power! Now!”Lila swallowed hard. Harper surged, trying to manipulate her body, bend her will toward submission. Her legs shook, but she focused. Every fragment of her aura pulsed, bracing her for the leap.I am stronger than you, Lila whispered. I survive. I fight. She ran, heart hammering, toward the fissure. Sparks erupted as debris tumbled around her. Harper screeched i
