Mag-log inI felt like I was a wilted vegetable after we finished touring grandma's A house. I can say that I think I won't get lost as easily now, since I'm not forgetful and I already know some of the short cut way here in and outs.
"Tch, it's you again how many times do I have to repeat that you should not block on my way," he said, wearing his super grumpy face. I took a deep breath and showed him how I rolled my eyes at him. "With the size of this house and the space, you really have to pass by where I'm standing?" I asked back, annoyed. "The heck! this is my house, and you're the one who should know where you stand," he said, seeming annoyed. "Heck your house," I teased him. "And this is your grandma's house, not yours." He smirked and scratched his eyebrow slightly, as if he was annoyed with me. "Do some research before barking nonsense," he said, like he had something to prove. "Do you always have to remind me that you own this house? Or is it less about reminding me and more about convincing yourself?" I pressed, wanting to get a rise out of him. "Are you nuts, or just incapable of understanding?" He stalked toward me, his expression intense. "I understand perfectly well it's not your house. Maybe you haven't inherited it yet. Is that why you're so miserable." I paused, watching for a reaction. "Or did your girlfriend leave you because you're such a grump---" Ack! I moan in pain when his hands clamped around my neck. I clawed at his fingers, but his grip only tightened. "L-let go," I gasped, the air thinning. Before he released me, a cruel smirk twisted his lips. "Don't push me," he said, his voice was like ice. I sucked in a ragged breath and watched him stride toward the dining room. If grandma doesn't know what makes you thick, I'll find out, I'll make you crack. I'll push you to your limit, Kaizer. -- I sat on the couch, gently massaging my neck. Still felt his fingers there. Tsk, he got aggressive when I mentioned 'girlfriend' things. Hmm... what's behind his past? "Tch, so it's legit that we have a new visitor." I nearly jumped out of my skin. Someone spoke right behind me. I whirled around, and my jaw dropped. It was a Kaizer look-alike! Twins? They were spitting images of each other, though Kaizer was a bit taller. "Tch, don't stare. It's annoying." Ugh, great. Another grumpy one. Is he mean, too? I noticed him glance at my neck, then back at my face. "Don't push him. He's capable of worse," he said, his words hanging in the air. Capable of worse? "Hi?" I managed, waving like an idiot, trying to act normal. He just glared, those eyebrows practically fused together, and sauntered off. Just like his brother. Two grumpy people in this house already. If I meet another relative, I swear they'll be even grumpier...or just kill me outright. I followed him with my gaze, and he was heading to the room right next to mine. Nice I'm in the middle of two ill-tempered siblings. What's his name, anyway? Just now I noticed he was wearing a school uniform. Aww, does he have night classes? Why is he only stumbling home now, in broad daylight?. "That's my second grandchild, Kleo. He's in his second year in college," Grandma said suddenly, making me jump. Oh my god, is it their hobby to just pop up and startle people? "Grandma! You scared me!" I exclaimed! "Hahah, sorry about that! Btw,How about your things—your personal things, rather? Do you need anything? Oh, and the fridge is already on its way it'll be put in your room." Wow, thank you for treating me like these grandma A, "But grandma, there's no need—" "No buts. You don't have to worry about anything. It's my duty to give and provide for all your needs." I was left speechless, unable to process what she said. Duty? Before I could even ask about the duty, she jumped in with another question, completely derailing my train of thought. "Have you graduated from college already? And what happened to your neck?" she asked when I didn't answer. I flinched away when she reached to touch my neck. "Nothing, grandma. Just sore, that's all." What would she do if she knew her older grandson did this to me? "Ahhh, okay. So, what's your degree?" "Bachelor of Science in Computing and Information Sciences." "What's that?!" She furrowed her brow. Ack, so cute. "It was related to computer grandma." "Oh, Okay" She said while nodding. "Oh, btw I want to offer you a work if you just want only okay? I'm not forcing you. Do you want to work at the company where Kaizer works? I heard he needs a new secretary, I think you'd be perfect." I froze, remembering how close he'd come to choking me. I was so curious about what made him that way. What was in his past? Grandma snapped her finger in front of my face which made me back to reality after thinking about kaizer past, ugh Im so obsessed with his past. "You're out of space sammy girl, so what do you think?!" she asked excitedly. I just smiled, not knowing what to say yet. I needed to plan how to find out his past. -- Driven by curiosity and determined to uncover his past, I agreed to work as his secretary. This way, I might find clues, and I'd also have my own money instead of relying on his grandma's. So here I am, stuck in the backseat of Kaizer Vincent Chuena's fancy car. Of course, he's rocking his signature irritated poker face. After weeks at the Chuena mansion, I'm convinced everyone in that family is allergic to smiling, except for their grandma. "Tsk, could you, cover your face? It's more annoying than freaking piles of papers I have to sign." Seriously? He's so extra. Acts like he did nothing to me. I think his qoutes are : 'Past is past, no need to discuss it,' he acts like he didn't try to suffocate me 2 times. "Then don't look at me, problem solved," I shot back. I'll fight you, Kaizer. "Tsk," was all he said before slamming the car door and stalking toward his ridiculously tall company. Did I annoy him again? I took a deep breath, trying to psych myself up before stepping out of the car. "Good morning, miss," the guard chirped. I managed a weak smile, then realized Grumpy McGrumperson had already disappeared inside. "Good morning. I'm the new secretary of Mr. Grum— Chuena. Any idea where I can find his office?" I asked, trying to sound professional. "Ah, yes, just take the VIP elevator to the 45th floor and you'll find his office there." I thanked him and beelined for the elevator, following his directions. As the doors slid open on the 45th floor, I stepped out into a long hallway, sheks even here there still a lomg hallway? they really loved torturing their self for walking. Finally, at the end of the hall, I spotted his office, cause there he was, inside, his eyebrows practically fused together as he glared at the documents he was signing. I tried to open the door, but it was locked. I knocked, but he didn't even look up, what this sound proof? Does he want me to stay here all day? Is this his revenge for annoying him?"What the FUCK!" I woke up to Kaizer's voice, his tone sharp and accusatory. We'd slept together in one bed, and I'd given him my virginity."Shit!" I opened my eyes, seeing his face contorted in a mixture of shock and disgust. It was like the old Kaizer was back, the cold, unfeeling one."W-Why?" I stammered, confused by his reaction. I slowly sat up, clutching the blanket tightly around my body, feeling exposed and vulnerable."What did you do to me?"My mouth dropped open at his question. "What did I do to you?" I repeated, incredulous."You're the one who did this, Kaizer," I said, my voice rising with each word. "I tried to stop you, but you kept insisting that you were aware, that you were ready to take responsibility for whatever happened." I was so angry at him right now."Fucked, do you know that im drunked samantha?" He yelled back, his eyes blazing with anger."Fuck that 'drunkenness' of yours! You confessed your feelings to me, and now you're saying you were just drunk? Fu
"Kaizer," I said. He glanced at me, then turned to Paulo."You really have a thick face, don't you?" Kaizer said to Paulo, smirking. It was like he was hinting at something I didn't know.Paulo smirked and straightened his posture. "As long as you aren't married, I think I have a chance," he said, grinning.Ack, I wanted to shout that he would never have a chance with me, but we were in a church with a lot of people around."You won't have that chance," Kaizer answered confidently."Enough. We're in a church. Find another place to display your egos." I yanked my wrist from Kaizer's grip and left them both.I heard Paulo call my name, but I didn't look back. They were just pests.I went back to my condo instead of going to the reception. I'd lost my mood, and I didn't have anyone to be with anyway.I just wished Ryuji and I could go back to normal.DingdongdingI sighed and stood up from the couch. It was probably Klarrise. When I opened the door, I froze. It was the Chuena family's bu
Samantha POVI didn't realize how much time had passed. It was already 6:00 in the evening. I was at Grandma's house because she said she needed to tell me something in person. If it weren't for her, I would have stayed at my condo."Why is he taking so long?" Grandma hissed, her eyes fixed on the main door. Was she waiting for the siblings? No, she was clearly referring to only one person.Ken wasn't here because his parents had taken him to the States. He was going to transfer schools there, which meant I was completely on my own. I wouldn't have Ken around to goof off with. And Kleo was scheduled to go back to the States the next day to manage the other company his father had given him.So I really had no one. And Ryuji was being cold to me, too. I hate everyone."Grandma, can I go to my room first? I need to charge my phone." As soon as she nodded, I went to my room and collapsed on the bed. I just wanna sleep.I felt exhausted waiting for whoever "he" was.The next morning, I sho
Samantha POV "Is she already home?" I froze as I heard Kaizer's voice in the garage. Who was he talking to? Who did he mean by "she"? I ducked behind a large bush near the fountain, silently watching him. He was dressed casually. So he didn't have any business today. I checked my watch. It was already midnight. Ack, this was Ryuji's fault. He'd gotten me drunk just to pry out my feelings for this infuriating man who was now standing in front of his car. "Fuck," he cursed, then hurried to his car and drove off. I stepped out from behind the bush, watching his car until it disappeared through the main gate. What did he mean by "she?" Was he referring to me? Ugh, I rolled my eyes and slapped my face to snap myself out of it. I was daydreaming again. I took a deep breath and started walking towards the main door. But as I reached for the handle, my phone rang. Klarrise's name flashed on the screen. Oh my god, I'd forgotten she was here in Manila. I'd been so preoccupied with my fee
Third Person POV"He's already met her," my assistant said, suddenly appearing beside me.I sighed and glanced at my tablet. "Let him do whatever he wants," I said, trying to sound indifferent. But the truth was, a small part of me was curious, maybe even a little jealous. We are separated now. What was the point in caring?"When do you want to approach her?" she added, causing my thoughts to drift back to Samantha. It had been a year since I'd last seen her. “I don’t know.” I don’t know her reactions. I’m scared."It's just a suggestion," she said, sensing my hesitation. "You should really start to reach out to her. Start to make up for everything you did for her."Her words struck a chord.I promised myself that when the time came, I would do everything in my power to earn her forgiveness.Mrs. Katarina Chuena POV"She's really pretty, Mom," I couldn't help but gush after meeting Samantha earlier. She seemed like such a sweet, genuine girl. "Yeah, definitely better than Akisha," Mom
Ryuji escorted me back to the mansion and after that he left, saying he had important things to do. I waved goodbye to him until his car was out of my sight.I took a deep breath before entering the Chuena family's gates."Good Evening, Mrs. Chuena," the guard greeted me. I smiled and returned the greeting to him.Walking slowly to the main door, while I wondered where kazier had gone and why he hadn't called me again after that yesterday. As I entered the door, the sweet ambiance of the house hit me.I went straight to my room and changed clothes, cause I feel like it suffocates me while wearing this sexy dress. After changing, I went to bed, feeling like my body had been tortured.I need to sleep to rest my inner body.In the morning, I got up early and took a bath. Grandma had said Kaizer's parents would be home today, finally, I'd meet them. After bathing, I put on simple makeup and a formal dress. I went to the dining area and saw him there, silently eating pancakes and holding a
