CHAPTER THREE

The pureblood didn’t know what to do when the beauty in front of him started to cry after seeing Yam, his dog.

"Are you scared now? Do you really think that a very cute creature like Yam could devour your legs?" Havoc’s cold and domineering exterior is completely gone as he finds the woman very entertaining. Well, he really is not a heartless man as people have labeled him to be.

"What do you mean, Sir? This creature is so tiny, you are not feeding him well. Now tear my left legs off, Sir. He is starving!" The woman said this while one of her hands was hugging the puppy and the other was stroking his head. The pureblood was so satisfied with the view, but was again taken aback by the lady’s words.

"What the fuck?!" He couldn’t help but blurt it out. What’s wrong with her? he thought.

"Do not worry about him. He is good and well fed, much better than you are,” he grinned, thinking how innocent, selfless, and kind this woman is.

"I am also just kidding about feeding your legs to my dog. No one can have it other than me," the woman’s eyes widened after hearing his words.

"You’re a cannibal, Sir?" She is frantic, and that causes the dog to stir.

"Of course not! Tsk."

"Let’s forget about it. I won’t hurt you if you’ll just cooperate." His patience is wearing thin towards the girl, which is why he just changed the topic.

The woman didn’t answer and only nodded, cradling her dog like a mother luling her baby to sleep. But after a while, she put him down as the dog was trying to break free.

"Why did you come here?" Even though the only thing he wanted to do to the woman in front of him was to claim her, he still tries his best not to. Yes, he liked her, but he is smart, and by that, it means that he is a rational man that uses his brain rather than his heart or dick.

"I came here because someone in my hometown said that the people who lived here knew very well who my father was, yet when I came here the men at the gate started assaulting me," the lady shook from the memory.

"I just want to meet my father since I can’t barely remember him," she added, which made the other confused. He was staring at her softly but was still unsure if what she was saying was true.

"What do you mean? You are not from the North and don’t personally know your father?"

"No, Alpha," she looked up at him. Her emerald eyes were glassy, and he knew very well that in no time, tears would be streaming down her beautiful face again.

"I am from the highlands." The highlands are the mountains that are completely isolated from civilization, it is neither part of the west, east, south and north. It is an independent teritorry of people who choses to live in harmony with the forest.

"What, so you are not from the north? Who told you then to come here? And how did you know that Carlos Ramirez is your father?" He was perplexed, but relieved that the woman was answering his questions, though he was still skeptical that she was telling the truth. Well, it’s not a big problem since he can just send people to the highlands to confirm if the lady really lived and grew up there.

"I've been asking my adopted parents who my parents are, but they never told me until they died, and after their burial, my adopted older sister told me that he was my father, and you guys know who he is." As simple as that? The alpha asked himself, trying to think of what to answer, but the woman spoke again.

"So do you know my father, Sir?" she asked again, looking at him with expectant eyes, and that question gave him an idea that caused him to grin devilishly.

"Yes, of course, and if you'll be obedient and only listen to me, I'll let you meet him, okay?" Havoc squats and caresses her hair. It isn’t soft, maybe because she hasn’t washed it in days, but the feeling of her long wavy curls on his calloused hands is really satisfying.

"You won’t hit me again if I listen to you?" The alpha swallowed hard upon hearing her question since he couldn’t control his anger most of the time and his hands were faster than his brain, but still, he answered, "Yes, baby doll, I won’t hit you again, as long as you’ll behave."

"Ok, I will behave then!" A smile finally formed on the woman’s face, making the alpha stunned. He could not believe that someone as pretty as her was in front of him. If she managed to be so pretty with swollen eyes and face, she looked stunning with nothing but a smile on her face, and at that moment, the alpha decided that he would never want to take away the smile on her face.

"Tell me, what is your name?"

"Serene, my name is Serene." The alpha smiled upon hearing her name. He could not believe that her name was the complete opposite of his name.

"Serene, your name is as pretty as you," the alpha said while his hands traveled over her cheeks, "And while I am havoc and peril, you bring me peace." The alpha closed the distance between their lips after saying those words.

The omega was stunned, but after a while, her instinct took over as she responded to his kisses. She put her hands on the alpha’s head and pulled him closer for a kiss. They were both hungry for each other, and their kiss was heated, but the alpha was stunned when her scent started to completely change. The alpha could no longer smell the distress and fear, but rather a very sweet, intoxicating smell started to invade his nostrils. It smells like cherry blossoms, with fruity musk and vanilla. It was too sweet, like the taste of her lips.

Havoc pulled away from her, and his eyes flashed bright red. His alpha inside him started to howl and chant the words "Mate! She’s our mate! Claim her!” in his head. Havoc chuckled, not letting his gaze be taken away from the omega. Now he could understand the funny feeling in his stomach and chest the first time he saw her. Her small face, red lips, cute nose, and most especially her beautiful emerald eyes.

Meanwhile, the omega looks at him in a daze. Her omega is purring inside her, telling her to completely submit to the big pureblood alpha in front of her. His musky cognac scent is making her whimper. And like the alpha, her eyes are flickering but in bright blue. These are no doubt the signs when true-fated mates find one another. And the alpha could not believe it because he hadn’t seen one before who found their mates. It’s rare, and he thought that he’d never find her, but here she was in front of him.

"Mate, you are my mate," once again the alpha claimed her lips forgetting that she is their hostage, possibly a Ramirez, the lineage his father hates the most.
