CHAPTER FOUR

"How is she?" the alpha asked an elderly omega.

"I think your scent overwhelmed him. Her heat was triggered and it might last for three days, but I have given her suppressants." Havoc nodded and heaved a heavy sigh. He had almost lost all of his control earlier, and almost mated with their captive, but he was interrupted by one of their pack members, reporting that his cousin from the East had arrived.

"She is your fated mate, right, Havoc?" The elder Omega spoke again. She is close to the pureblood as she was the one who watched him grow after his paternal mother died when he was two.

"Hmm. She is." The pureblood didn’t hesitate, as he trusted her so much.

"What is your plan then? Are you going to tell your father about this? Because I have assumed that she is not welcome here, due to the fact that she is in the basement," the elder omega spoke softly, with concern in her voice.

"She might be a Ramirez, Nana." Silence enveloped the room after Havoc mentioned the cursed lineage.

"But she is my mate, and yes, I will tell my father about that, but not now, Nana. Soon. The elder Omega walked towards him and squeezed his right shoulder. It was her way of comforting him.

"Ok, take all the time you need, Havoc, but please do not claim her yet." The alpha was stunned. He never thought that his Nana would be against him and his mate. He was about to reply harshly, but the elder once again opened her mouth to speak.

"Woo her first, don’t rush things and take time to get to know her, hmm?" The bitter feeling he had towards the omega earlier vanished like a bubble popping after seconds in the air.

"Thanks Nana, I will."

"So, come out now. Your cousin is waiting for you. It’s rude if you won’t accommodate him since he and his family have been so nice to you every time you go to them."

"I'll just change my clothes, Nana," Havoc said, and the elder just nodded and didn't say anything else. Well, Havoc really needs to shower as his fated mate's scent lingers on his clothes so much.

"Sorry for coming here unannounced, Havoc," Gabriel, Havoc’s cousin from the Eastern pack, said cockily.

"Shut it, Gabriel. You don’t look sorry at all, "Havoc replied before cutting through his steak. He and his unwanted guest are currently on the dining table eating their dinner.

"Chill dude, are you not happy to see me? It has been two years since we last met! I missed you so badly! " He said, clearly overacting, but it is true that they haven’t met for years now since Havoc hasn’t visited them due to the fact that he was so busy.

"Stop overacting, Gab. Why did my father send you here?" Havoc said, completely cutting the chase, because he knew that his cousin had some business in their pack.

"Oh no, uncle did not send me here for anything, cousin. I am here because I am curious about the omega in your basement. I happened to hear about her from your father, so here I am. " Havoc did not notice how tight his hold was on his utensils after hearing those words from Gabriel.

"What do you mean? Did she pique your interest? Why? " Havoc wants to snap; possessiveness is creeping all over his being.

"Well, I asked your father if she’s pretty and he said yes, so--" His cousin did not finish his words after Havoc threw his steak knife towards him.

Havoc stood up. "The omega is mine, so leave her alone, because if you won't, I’ll make sure that the next time I throw a knife it will land directly on your forehead."  Meanwhile, Gabriel looks shocked at his cousin’s action.

"Woah, I did not know that you have become so possessive of your captives now, but ok, I don’t want to die yet, so I’ll follow your rules. While I stay here."

"Good, I will now take my leave. After you finish your food, someone will direct you to your villa." Well, Havoc doesn’t want Gabriel on the main pack to stay since his fated mate is on heat. Even though she is in the basement, his alpha cousin might still smell her scent and lose all his shit.

"Ok, sure I’ll sleep in a villa," sarcasm was present in Gabriel's voice but Havoc did not reply anymore. He and Gabriel are actually close, but if his baby doll is involved, then no. He would rather like to appear rude than cause harm to his omega down in the basement.

He missed the omega terribly, despite the fact that it had only been two hours since he had left her in the basement. If only his cousin didn’t show up like a fucking mushroom then he could have been mated to his baby doll right now and she would not be on that basement but rather on his bed on his own floor in the manor. Oh, the basement, the cold and dark basement, Havoc thought.

Havoc fished out his phone after being lost in his thoughts to check if there were any new emails for him to read. None, he sighed, looking at the time, because from now on he’ll count until three days are past and he could see his fated mate again.

When the omega threw herself to Havoc after seeing him enter the door, the pureblood was taken aback. "You’re here!"

"Oh, sorry Alpha!" The omega shrieked in horror after what she did registered on her own mind. While her scent is turning sour.

It's okay, baby doll, I'm your mate, right? here," Havoc said while pulling her close again.

"How have you been?" The omega’s scent came back to its natural sweet scent after hearing those words from Havoc and when he subtly smiled at her and set her on his lap.

"Oh, I'm good here alpha! Nana said you’d come see me last day, but you never came though," the omega pouted, not aware how Havoc gulped so hard, restraining himself not to attack and ravish her red lips.

"I am so sorry, I was busy. Well, he is not lying. In addition, his cousin Gabriel has been pestering him for the past five days and he had left no choice but to ditch his baby doll in the basement.

"It is alright, alpha!" she beamed at him.

Oh, merciful Luna, thank you for giving me a deity for a mate. Those were Havoc’s thoughts while staring at the beauty in front of him. His eyes graced her neck and he was really tempted to sink his fangs into her. "Mate her, claim her!" His wolf inside him said but he was restraining himself. Remembering the words his Nana said the other day. "Woo her and don’t rush things."

"I have a question to tell you alpha, that is why I’m waiting for you," Havoc’s eyebrow twitched lightly, what could it be.

"Yes, what is it, baby doll?" Havoc watches the omega’s face turn in bright red. She leaned closer to the pureblood and asked her question in the form of a whisper.

"Alpha, do I have a pup on my tummy now?" Havoc almost lost it after hearing his baby doll’s question.

"Fuck!" Havoc cursed out loud making the omega on his lap startle.
