Ken'ichi was shocked and saw that Sezuka threw the stone at the water.

"Oops! Sorry..." she apologized then they heard a clutch of a gun so he held his sister quickly.

"What's that?" one of the man responded as he heard the splash of water. He held his gun up pointing at where he heard the sound. He saw the big rock and started to walk towards it to check.

Ken'ichi heard footsteps coming near them so he held his breath as long as possible as he can to avoid suspicion but he kept on trembling so much.

God, please don't let us see you this early! I'm still a virgin and I still want to have a girlfriend. If not, let me just criticize Rezu-nee and Sezuka's boyfriend first, please! I still want to tell Rezu-nee's lover that she's a terrible sister. 

Please let me live longer!

"Hey, let's go!" one of the men-in-black shouted so the other followed immediately and left his curiousity.

It's already dark when Ken'ichi checked they're totally gone already. He exhaled and his heartbeat is so fast as if he ran 20 miles in a minute.

"You're dirty sweat fell on my head, nii-shan!" Sezuka said disgusted.

This kid...!

"Nevermind that, come on hurry! Lift your bucket and let's go."

I took a glance continuously as a precaution to the opposite direction where the Pointers went and held all the water buckets at once.

"N-Nii-shann..."

"What's wrong? Where's your bucket?" I asked Sezuka who is just standing there looking guilty that she lost her bucket somewhere.

"I-I left it near the man when I saw him." she said.

"You, WHAT?!"

"H-He... He... He..." Sezuka smiled.

When we went to check it, it's gone. 

"Nii-shan... my bucket..." Sezuka cried.

Rezu-nee's completely gonna kill me!

"I-I'll buy you soon. Let's go. Don't tell nee-san about what happened, okay? If you do, I'll buy you lots of potatoes."

"Really? Okay!"

I hope Sezuka's not going to bust me in front of Rezu-nee.

They arrived home at totally dark.

"You...! Idiot! I told you not to go with Sezuka!" is what my bossy evil big sister said as soon as she saw us coming home instead of helping me unload the buckets I got.

"Seshuka wanted to go with nii-shan..." Sezuka explained.

"That's what I thought." she just sighed.

Thankfully, Sezuka didn't give off any signs of her seeing a life-threatening situation from while ago.

"So? What's wrong with you? You're face looks like you've seen a ghost."

"H-Huh? What? No, nothing. What are you talking about?" I defended and laughed awkwardly.

"Sezuka, your brother doesn't have money to buy you lots of potatoes. Tell me what happened." 

HUH?!

"Huh?!" Sezuka glared at me. 

"W-What? N-No... no..."

I tried my best to explain but Rezu-nee's spell is more powerful than mine that she got Sezuka to tell her what happened.

"We saw a sleeping man on the Lake and some three weird man carried him away."

"SEZUKA!" I glared at Sezuka.

"Oops!" she covered her mouth and went to her room quickly.

"Ha-ha... Kids these days..." I kept smiling and slowly stepped away and ran to my room.

"KEN-'I-CHIIIIIIIIIIIII YOUUUUU DUMBAAAAAAAAASSS!"

Oh no, the beast had come out! God, HEEEEEEELLLLPPPPP MEEEEE!!!!

Morning came and the siblings are currently having their breakfast.

"Nii-shan... You nose looks so cute." Sezuka laughed.

Ken'ichi just glared at her.

"Well, your stupid brother just went to sleep outside last night and maybe a cockroach kissed his nose that's why." Rezuka chuckled and smirked.

You know what? I might just want to live by myself at the mountain right now than live here being bullied by my sisters.

"Ow!" I exclaimed as I touched my nose.

After scolding me very hard last night, Rezuka kicked me out so I was left with no choice but to sleep outside. When I woke up, my nose just ended up having a visible red dot on it. It is visible but I'm glad it isn't humongous.

"Shevshuka wvill pvlay wvith Havchi outshivde!" while having a bread on her mouth, Sezuka went outside and played with Hachi, their cat, and her doll.

*SILENCE*

Argh... I wanna go out so badly in this situation. Maybe I'll just go eat at the shop?

"So you encountered the Pointers yesterday, huh? Someday, they will be tracking the situation here and we'll be done for." Rezuka said then she sipped her soup.

I frowned at what my sister said.

"What are you trying to say? That we must let go of mom? Again? Like what you did with Dad?"

Rezuka paused eating and tightened her grip on her spoon.

"I can't." I looked down. I'm curious at Rezu-nee's reaction while talking about this matter but I just can't. I don't want to be disappointed at her.

"Then what? Let this family be done for nothing? Huh?! I don't care what happens to me but how can you not think about what's going to happen in the future?" Rezuka argued concealing her emotion.

When I got enough courage, I looked at her.

"Then what about you? How can you not think about our feelings once we let go of mom? About what emotions we will feel, huh? And you call yourself our big sister." I paused and looked down again.

"I'm through with this." I stood up and got my bag for work.

"You're going where?" Rezu-nee asked while still sitting calmly at the table.

As I saw her reaction, I'm quite disappointed. She really doesn't care about our parents, huh?

"I will find a way around your solution." I went straight out and went to work.

"What's with the nose, Ken? Is it because Christmas is coming?" Asagi-san chuckled when I entered the shop.

"Are the Reindeers of Santa taking a break?" Tokage-san said sarcastically and they both laughed.

"Yeah, right. Thank you... Thank you..." I elegantly bowed like an entertainer in front of them before I totally entered the locker room.

Tch. 

Just what the hell happened to my nose last night? I should've noticed it if some mosquitoes partied on it. Gah!

Days past by and Ken'ichi is going home later than before finding an effective medicine at every medicine shop on town right after work. He even tried to enter the black market.

"Sorry kid, there's still no solution at the mysterious virus that circulated around the Capital from years ago." Daiki-san, a vendor at the black market said.

"Oh, thanks though." I sadly sighed leaving me hopeless at finding a solution.

"Do you know someone infected?" he asked. Out of precaution, I just looked at him and didn't answer.

"Oh, no. I won't tell the Pointers. I'm just asking why you are so desperate to search for... you know... almost nothing."

I just looked at him and Daiki-san also just looked at me. "I mean, no offense kid. I'm just being realistic here."

"For a long time... my mom... is fighting for it."

"Sorry about that kid... Wait you said what? For a long time?"

"Yeah."

Daiki-san shook his head. "Come sit down, my boy." he offered.

"Kid, are you sure? Because I don't think that is possible. You see, the virus takes over the brain in just a short time. Perhaps, for like... hours or a day before it takes the brain totally."

I just looked at him confused.

"Well.. Um.. Do I look like I'm kidding?"

He scoofed. "You're a one funny lad."

I'm telling the truth, though. What's funny?

"Alright, alright. Let me tell you what I know." he chuckled.
