Ken'ichi was about to go home after visiting Daiki's Shop at the black market when he remembered that he forgot his bag that has Sezuka's present.

When he was going to the shop, he saw a one beautiful carriage at the road running.

"I'm pretty sure a beautiful noble is inside that carriage" he whispered as he admire it.

"I'm... I'M FINE DAMN IT!" is what he heard from it when it passed through.

*Horse whines*

Eek! What was that? Sounds like a drunk woman.

"Oh, fvck. I'm here again... at the worst possible time." Ken'ichi sighed while looking at the shop's sign, Great Blue Booze.

*Great Blue Booze is like a small tavern. Famous around the area because of its quality wines, beers, whiskey, etc.

"Oh, Ken! What brings you back here?" Asagi-san noticed me outside and opened the door.

"I forgot my bag, *sempai."

(Sempai: informal of senpai)

Since Asagi-san and Tokage-san didn't experienced being called senpai at their younger age, they insisted me to call them that instead.

"Hey, kid. Want some tea?" he offered as he sat down on the couch.

"No, thanks."

There's no way that's tea! I'm pretty sure he just made that from that lying vodka and whiskey on the table! (*DON'T DO IT< Combustible)

The shop reeks of alcohol. As expected, they threw a party again a while ago. Good thing their friends went home already. Or else...

*Sigh*

What a troublesome.

I went straight to the locker behind the reception area and saw Tokage-san shaving his beard while wearing just a towel covering his lower body in front of the mirror. I think he just finished taking a bath.

"Ah, Ken! You're back again!"

I just raised my hand as an answer, got my bag at the locker, and walked out.

"Oh, you're going already?" he wiped his chin after he finished shaving and followed at the reception where Asagi-san is standing with his arms folded leaning on the counter.

"Bye, kiddo."

"Good night, sempai." I bowed at the two of them and walked out.

"Be careful going home!" the two shouted looking at him walk out.

"Such a cold boy, isn't he?" Asagi said to Tokage.

"Right. The reason why he's still a virgin." Tokage agreed as he also folded his arms. Then both of them gave off a long sigh.

"H-Hey, look..."

*Tower Clock Dings*

"It's midnight already? Geez, time flies so fast. Also... I'm hungry." Ken'ichi whispered to himself.

Good thing a travelling merchant passed by going the same way as him so he took the ride. As he was walking on his way, he suddenly shivered.

"Why am I feeling uneasy. Brr... Be brave, you coward!" he said to himself when he noticed his heart beating a little faster than usual so he slightly punched his chest.

As he was going near their house, he noticed some odd shoeprints on the ground having it very visible to the eye due to the moonlight giving it more shadow and details.

*sniff* *sniff*

"Fire..."

His eyes widened and ran as fast as he can to their home. Upon arrival, he saw the fire at the place getting larger. As the wind blew harder, the fire is starting to spread wildly and is trying to eat the whole house.

"Sezuka?! Rezu-nee?!" he quickly ran inside and checked the living room but none.

"Rezuka?! Sezuka?!" he went to their room, but none.

As he continued to look for them, the fire already ate half part of the house rapidly.

He went to the kitchen and saw some ingredients just lying around. "Nee-san..."

"SEZUKA! NEEE-SAN!" he shouted from the deep of his lungs but no one answered back.

His knees softened that made him fall to ground having all his hopes disappear as the fire continued to eat their house away at a fast pace with the help of the wind.

"Mom..."

He reacted like a lightning at the thought of their mother and there he stood looking at the burning hut of the detached place with a shocking look on his face. There's blood everywhere around the area and visible fingerprints on the wall.

He was about to go near it when...

*BOOM!*

Once again, his hope of thinking they might still be alive was crushed in the darkness as the fire covered his sight and the rain slowly poured down heavily.

"No, no, no, no, no... NO! NEE-SAN! SEZUKA! MOM!" Ken'ichi yelled after a big explosion scattered the whole house apart.

"I knew it." Ken'ichi smiled while tears continued to flow down his face with some of his on the ground.

"I-If only I came home early... If only I did my part as a brother... If only... this wouldn't... I wouldn't have to be... If only I've listened to you, nee-san..." he sobbed and his memory with his family came flashing back to his head.

Both good... and bad.

"I know how much it hurts, kid. But either you get hurt now or regret forever once you made your final decision later."

"Mom... Nee-san... Sezuka... I'm sorry!" he shouted all his might as he felt regrets and pain in his heart.

Ken'ichi sat there with his head down leaving the rain mix up with his tears which continued to flow down uncontrollably.

"I'm sorry... I'm sorry... I'm sorry..." is just what he said all night lying on the ground while the skies cried together with him until he got tired and fell asleep.

"Ken..."

Huh? Am I hearing my mom's voice?

"Ken, wake up."

*groans*

"M-Mom?" I slowly opened my eyes when I heard mom waking me up. Then lifted my heavy head.

What's this, my eyes hurts like hell. What time is it already?

Ken'ichi looked up and saw the sky in a dark gray color warning to pour later. It's going to be a rainy morning.

As he looked around him, burned structures and most skeleton of their house was only left from yesterday's incident.

"M-Mom... N-Nee-san... Sezuka..." he cried and tears raced down his face again as the wind blew the heavy rain.

"Hey..."

What's that?

*SILENCE*

"Hey...!"

"W-Who's there?" I stood up quickly and held my sister's spear that I saved from the fire yesterday.

"Here..."

I faintly heard the word because of the rain. Who was that? He sounded like an old goat.

"Right here, dumbass!" someone shouted so I looked around to see who it is.

And there at the corner, I saw a tiny old man hiding at a pillar.

Is he... drunk?

I couldn't even recognize him not just because it is slightly dark but since he was just... small.

I mean, my eye-sight coverage just didn't noticed his height at all.

"Pfft... S-Sorry..." I apologized as I tried so hard to cover my laughter.

I know I'm in horrible situation but I just can't control myself.

I'm sorry. I'm terribly sorry!

"You little...!"

"HAHAHAHAHA!"

He just said the funniest thing for him to say ever!

"HAHAHAHA!"

Ken'ichi laughed so hard for a minute while the old man looked at him annoyed.

"You know what? Never mind. Screw you." the old man said pissed off and started to walk away holding his bottle of beer.

"Old man, wait up!" Ken'ichi said as he held his stomach after laughing so hard.

*SHOT!*

He startled when an arrow passed by his cheeks and went straight to the old man.
