Dravin's POV

Perfection, as they say, never lasts.

It is in fact the most fragile concept that ever existed.

The source of my joy soon became a scourge and a medium of anxiety to me. That anxiety grew into dependence and finally, obsession.

A crippling obsession over Irikah that quickly morphed into something a lot more sinister. Possession.

As the finals of the tournament approached, the antics of the Pack members grew bolders. Their attempts to provoke me were less veiled and my impatience and animosity grew with each passing day.

So did my anxiety.

There was only one more obstacle between me and the position of the Alpha's heir. Just one more fight until I achieve all I had wanted all my life.

Prestige, acceptance and respect.

I knew it was also the hardest obstacle.

My opponent, Valkir was a victor in every sense of the word. One who would win regardless of the cost.

I knew he was the one who urged these bastards to harass me. He wanted Irikah for himself and he would d

  • COME BACK OF THE SCARFACE PRINCESS    Behind The Golden Dress

Ava's POV Once again, my world faded. One second I was seated with the priestess, staring into her eyes and her smile, and the next I was in a lavish abode. One quite unlike the architecture of today. It didn’t take long for me to know where I was.Irikah waltzed out of the living room with a twirl as she admired her new dress. It was quite the sight to behold. The fabric was soft and silky, delicately crafted to accentuate her figure, with golden embroidery etching ornamental patterns all over it, as if to drive home the affluence involved in its creation.“Wow,” I couldn’t help but comment, and I quickly closed my mouth, afraid I’d alert her to my presence.I didn’t.In fact, it seemed like I wasn’t present here. This was obviously the past, but this time I was viewing it instead of living it.I wondered what the goddess hoped to achieve with this revelation. I already knew what I needed to know about Irikah, and honestly, I wasn’t curious to know more. She was just too different f

  • COME BACK OF THE SCARFACE PRINCESS    A Mistake In The Making

Ava's POV With my mind made up and my plan clear, there was only one loose end I needed to tie.Kael and my sister. It was high time I paid them a visit.I sent both Hannah and Aria to deliver a message to Alpha Cade on my behalf. It was time to honour their end of the deal. With my alliance idea, most of the small Packs around Cade's Pack had bounded together, and they've become quite the formidable force on account of their overwhelming numbers. With Old Man Alfred's support, any warmongers with their sights on them simply gave up.That included the Blood Moon Pack.Kael was too much of a coward. Now that I have guaranteed their safety, it was time to burn Blood Moon Pack to the ground. I have no good memories in that place and, therefore, no reason to feel any remorse for what I was about to do.With my aim clear and Lyanna beside me, I decided to set out to Alpha Cade, who must have received my message by now.I would hope that they have made preparations and are simply on standb

  • COME BACK OF THE SCARFACE PRINCESS    Kindred Victims

Ava's POV As I hurried over to my bedroom, I was grateful for the silence Lyanna afforded me. She seemed to know exactly what I needed and enforced it.Hannah and Aria had met me in the hallway, and Hannah opened her mouth to say something but seemed to see Lyanna's expression behind me. She quickly fell silent and instead fell in step behind me, along with Aria.It was all just a lot to take in.It was too much for one day.Once I got to my room, I entered and left the door open, but no one came in along with me.I heard a muffled discussion between the three ladies, but I was in no mood to care about anything else.My thoughts were quite occupied with the weight of the revelations I had gotten today. From the Priestess to Dravin, my life seemed to have been upturned. There was one thing I was sure of though.Dravin was dangerous. Way too dangerous.Lyanna strolled into the bedroom and shut the door behind her."The girls have gone to see to other chores, Luna.""Mhm," I mumbled as

  • COME BACK OF THE SCARFACE PRINCESS    When Sorry Comes Too Late

Dravin's POV I felt tears trickle down my face as I recounted the painful memory of killing Irikah with my bare hands.Elora was silent, and deadly still."You killed her because she wanted to stay back and help you?""It was stupid. I know," I said as I wiped my eyes.It had been so long since I cried.I had resumed crying sometime during my story."Stupid?" she asked. "You think it was stupid? You murdered a woman that was trying to help you!""I wasn't in the right state of mind," I said slowly. "This is not to defend my actions. I lost everything on that day. I didn't want to lose her too.""So, you'd rather kill her?" Elora asked.Hearing that exposed the absurdity of my words. It laid bare my denial—that I made a mistake because I didn't want to lose Irikah. It wasn't even being obsessed with her.It was plain possession."Do you think she would have even bothered to go wait for you in the woods if she was going to betray you?" Elora asked. "I don't know what you expected, but

  • COME BACK OF THE SCARFACE PRINCESS    When Love Turns Fatal

Dravin's POV I walked the rest of the way home in a daze. The adrenaline still pumped my blood full with vitality, and I could feel my bloodlust reach a crescendo. It hungered for more. This was the first time I had killed a werewolf. The first time I stained my hands with the blood of another of my kind. What was this thrill? This immense satisfaction. This overpowering sensation that hungered for more.I was both excited and sad.I not only bested my opponent, Valkir, I did it while fending off nine other werewolves of immense strength.I performed a death-defying feat. I won against all odds and came out with only injuries. Terrible injuries they were, but mere injuries nonetheless. The way home seemed a lot longer than it was supposed to. My body ached beyond measure, and my blood boiled with anger. Not even their deaths had managed to quell the anger I felt towards them. Why?Why did they have to ruin my life?I branched off into the woods and sighed as I laid my back on a tree.
