Advice from the king's first love

RUBY ~

I surprised at first and as expecting what he wanted to say, so I turned around  to look at his raised face. "My name sounds so foreign coming from you Pyrrhus, when last has that been that you called my name?"

Pyrrhus sighed, then his apologetic voice came after he'd looked at me deeply, 

"What happened today won't happen again. Selena and I were just friends, but we're closer more than you could ever imagine, but I'd let her know I have a Luna already"

I don't know how to respond to this but I pulled my lips back and smiled nervously, "You don't have to apologize about that. If it were me, I wouldn't be able to take it either. I'll definitely come to look for you and fulfill my promise, Just get along with her I won't mind"

I don't know what's funny but he smiled, a genuine smile that I find so alluring. 

Still smiling, he moved to the sofa and I gently leap on the bed and he switched off the lights. 

I can finally sleep in peace without thus heavy lump in my chest.

The next day.

As promised by the producer, I arrived at the hotel and met Mr Clinton there waiting to escort me like before.

I bowed to him slightly, "Good morning Mr Clinton?"

He nodded and turned towards the hall before starting his usual round of advise, "This TV series is a fairy tale. It's adapted from a novel with deep romantic foundation, the popular Beta Lucas from North Pack is the male lead and your sister is still fighting for the female lead role. You're one of the supporting characters, It's an important role. If you can get it, it'll definitely be good enough for you to make a comeback" 

I nodded and bowed to him slightly again, 

"Thank you for giving me this opportunity, I'll work hard"

Mr Clinton left me to go face my fate at the audition and I neaced myself to go and fight for my way. Now that there's nothing holding me back, I'll use this opportunity to the fullest until I stop being a Luna.

"Ruby Moon, you're next" I heard and stepped into the audition hall. 

Inside was full of the biggest echelons in the film industry. Ella, Logan, the directior, the producer, almost all of them are there waiting to see what I could do.

It's not the first time to fade such panel, so I must say I'm quite used to it. I bowed slightly and introduced myself. 

From where Ella was, I head her snort,  "When did this little bitch become so beautiful?"

I smirked before taking a deep breath, 'You haven't seen anything fool!' I wished I could say it to her face but I have to ace this audition. 

I toom the script that was placed there and read it slowly, matching the pace of the character I was portraying.

Slowly demonstrating and adjusting, I ended my acting and bowed to the crowd, 

"Director, my performance is over."

"Okay." The director flipped through the information and didn't seem to look at me but I find nothing special in it and walked out of the room quietly.

Once outside, Mr Clinton came rushing, "Ruby, you've been chosen this time. Go back and prepare for it. The role of the ghost hunter (Mulan) has been chosen. Come to my office let's sign a contract"

I thought I heard it wrong and couldn't react for a long time.

I have been chosen? That was too surprising. I was inside myself in joy as I hurriedly bowed to him slightly and muttered my thanks. 

Even after telling me directly that I'll be auditioning for the role of Mulan, I wasn't expecting this much. I quickly took my phone to text that Egoistic man,

"Hey! I got the role!!!!" 

What I got is far from my expectations as he replied in one word, "Ok" 

How strange? Nevertheless, I hailed a taxi to go back home.

As soon as I entered the house, the figure I saw was different for my expectations too, Sitting on the sofa where Pyrrhus used to sit, was Selena, his first love. 

What is she.... How can she come here when Pyrrhus won't be around to attend to her? Anyway, what's my concern in whatever reasons that brought her here when Pyrrhus himself had already clarified that there's nothing between them? 

Walking cockily I moved towards her, with the intention of going upstairs and coughed, "The king is not at home you can come back later"

To my surprise, Selenastood up and snorted coldly. She looked at me for a while before saying, "I was expecting more from whoever Pyrrhus marries but you disappointed me. Such an ugly bum"

What? Did she just.... Did she just....

"He's always been mine before anyone of your that called yourselves mate come around. Luckily, his mates always dies, first, second, third till you! It's better you run for your life now before it gets to your turn to die! You'd better understand!"

How dare her say such foolish words to me? I feel so angry and feel as if I should wack her face and make her beauty suffer. But for the fact that I'm not Pyrrhus's real wife, why's should I bother? 

Looking at the elegant woman in front of me, I sneered, I'm not an easy person either, how can she....  "Since you said he belongs to you and others has been dying, why are so worried about me? You should wait till I die or what are you doubting your love?"

Selena's face darkened when she saw my nonchalant expression, I don't really like women like this who things they own the world because they have the man. Ella was life that too. 

Putting on brave face she countered, "Yes, I trust him, but I can't ignore the fact that he's too outstanding. There are more than one or two women who throw themselves at him despite being cursed, You won't be the first, and you won't be the last. If you love yourself, better back off or else....."

I chuckled, "Or else what?"
