Seeing Ruby happy makes Theo jumped up with ecstasy. It's been a while that my wolf has been this happy. 

Ruby is like the brightest star in our night sky I must say. She was smiling with joy, I feel so euphoric. 

But her last word off me. 'That's where it starts' 

Theo howled and settled down. Then I asked him from my mind, 'What will happen if she knows she's going to die in five months time?'

'Exactly my thoughts. Will she be able to get the fame before five months so she won't leave with any regrets?' 

I don't know what to say, I only looked at Ruby as she still smiles and was demonstrating the producers actions to me, and her movements were very alluring.

'if she didn't have all the things she want in this life before five months, I'll confess everything to her and kill her myself' I told Theo. 

Ruby was still swaying happily. When she met my gaze, she must have suddenly felt that something was wrong and quickly stood at attention. 

"What's bothering you, why are you starting at me like that?" She questioned with cluelessness. 

I glared at her, the thought that I'll leave her to die because of my mistake or have to kill her myself came back again and I snapped back to reality. 

'Five months is still far away Theo, let's make her happy until then' 

 "Let's go home." I told Ruby and stand up. 

Ruby quickly jogged to catch up while my bodyguards and Edison joined us in the elevator before we got to the main hall. 

The bodyguards opened a path for us and we walked together until we got to my car.

There are only handful of actresses outside so no one to ogle or throw more hateful comments at us. 

"Pyrrhus can you just open up what has been bothering you to me?" Ruby asked the question again when we'd entered the car. 

I looked at her puzzled, "What did you mean?" 

"You've been spacing out since I came back from the audition, are you angry that I waster your time?" Her voice trembled slightly and again, I can't help the tenderness that I used to look at her.

A perfect woman that's eve worried that she might've wasted my time? What a good woman Micheal had lost. 

'Focus man! She'll get suspicious soon' 

I snapped out of my trance and cleared my throat. "Must you ask such questions? I say nothing is wrong!" I typically quipped at her. 

She kept quiet and the car accelerated. She'd laid her head back, obviously offended by how I'd almost quipped at her. 

However, I can't keep my eyes away from her and this is how I realized that she spread her legs a little bit too uncultured. 

The white safety pants underneath were slightly exposed, and the shape was obvious and tempting. 

I gulped, trying to control myself. 'Focus man. Focus!' Theo growled again. 

I frowned and cleared my throat, "Can't a woman sit properly?"

Ruby was stunned even though her anger, she rolled her eyes at me and looked down at the opening of her gown. She looked up at me again but quickly pulled her legs together.

She looked up and met my disdainful gaze, so disdainful that I guess she felt more offended and lashed out, "Thank you but I'll prefer it if you stop looking at me like that King!" 

My eyes darkened at her audacity. 'Only out mate could try that' 

 "Can't you act more like a woman?" I ignored Theo and yelled at her this time. 

"Don't you keep your thoughts away from me just because I don't look like a woman?" She asked back confidently, which surprised me. 

This was the first time a woman dared to argue with me like this, and I wasn't expecting this. I guess she doesn't know how much of rank she had in my heart?

Here she goes again to making me feel angry when I'm struggling with my inner beast to bend he over my bed. "Ruby Moon are you out of your mind? You're my mate and I don't think of you as a woman? Why did you think I'm doing all these in the first place? For fun or because I don't have other things to do?" 

"Ha, you make it sound like I forced you to help me? I'm the one that should be getting angry here because I never ask for your help, I never ask you to be my mate! Stop acting like a chameleon, love me if you want to love me and hate me if you want to hate me!" Ruby breathed out all these words in one breathe making me spellbound. 

Did she just blamed me for helping her or what? Is it a crime that I want to save her from dying?

'Calm down man. She said all these out of frustration the cold shoulders is getting too much' Theo pacified me. 

'Shut it bro! You suggested this method!" 

'But my method is to help you? Why are you venting your anger on me?'

'You..'

"Forget what I just say" Ruby interrupt the tirade between Theo and me. I looked at her she continued, "Yes, I once forced myself on you two years ago, and you helped me now out of compassion, I'm very foolish!" 

'Plot twist 😂' Theo almost tumble with laughter. 

'What is she suddenly talking about?' I asked. 

'Focus man! You can now lash back but let this be the end' 

After Theo said this, my eyes became even darker, I cleared my throat to sound more angrier even though I'm not, "I remember that you enjoyed it a lot then. I wanted this contract between is to help my mate like a king should do. If I wanted, I would have rejected you, but I don't want to break your heart twice, I... I just want the best for you Ruby why did you..."

Ruby's face immediately turned red. Under my gaze, she seems to have realized her mistakes.

She finally smiled at me and slapped my hand. "I wish those elders could see thier king at this moment" 

I laughed, "Everyone is like this with their mates"

She didn't stop laughing. Another trail of euphoria crept up my mind, Looking at her blushing face as hearing her laugh, I'm also happy.

Damn! I snatched my tie from her and stand up still feeling the heat. 

Ruby seems to regret her actions too as she fanned herself with her hands despite the Air conditioner. 

We both looked away from each other as if nothing had happened, the photo or the phone temporarily forgotten.

How could she forget? How could she forget that the mate bond is a crazy thing that could drive me crazy if she keeps tempting me like this?

At this time, the driver broke the awkwardness between the us
