Rules to apply before opposite sex like King Pyrrhus

I signed. 'Bro don't you think it's time you tell her that we have a Luna?' Theo asked. 

Oh yes I think so, I have to let her know what's happening. I pushed her gently, "Selena you should still be studying" 

"Why did you sound so harsh? I promise to come back and be with you right? I don't care if you curse kills me, I'll be your Luna so people can stop calling you bad names"

Damn! Why did she have to be saying this after I found my woman? Nevertheless, I held her shoulders, "I'm sorry Selena, Find your real mate and get married to him, I'm definitely not the one for you"

"How could I leave you...Pyrrhus, I've been with you for so many years and I've vowed that I will stay with you no matter the fuckin curse.." she insisted again and her eyes were teary. 

For some reasons, seeing my childhood lover cry is so heartbreaking. My heart softened and I spoke slowly, "I have a Luna now and she's also my mate so...." 

"I'll wait. She'll die like others one day. So I'll wait until that happens" for some reasons I don't know, her voice sounded very eager as if she'd already know that it's just five months left.

"Why would you ..." 

Before I could complete my words, she'd already dashed away.

I heard everything that was discussed between Pyrrhus and the woman standing before him I trembled. 

She's even ready to die for him? But her last words off me, how could she say such a thing? 

Well, I'm not a real lover or wife so I'm safe. Getting back into the house, I slumped on the sofa to think of the issue as r hand when I felt Kate's hand pat my back.

"My Luna, why are you so engrossed in the thinking of Miss Selena?" She asked making me perk up to ask how she knew what I was thinking.

"My Luna, The King and Miss Selena are childhood friends, so they have a good relationship and that's how Miss Selena always talk to him, you shouldn't take it personal"

I felt like cursing. I shouldn't take it personal that she's talking to my.... Wait.. what is my concern in now they talk to each other? 

"My Luna?" Jate waved her hand and snapped me out of my insecure thoughts.

"Oh?" I quickly waved my hand at her, "Anyhow relationship she had with the king, I bet that's not too long ago?"

To my surprise, Kate smiled and held my hand, "Luna,  they have known each other since birth."

This word rang a bell and in my ears. It's natural they're very close no dounts about that. They're childhood friends yet he didn't marry her or even ask to marry her, Just what is going on with that man called Pyrrhus?

"You can go back Kate. I'll call you when I need you" comforted her and leaned back on the chair to continue my thinking. 

I guess Kate doesn't want to see me like this, instead of listening to me and leave, she stood there like a statue and held my hand, 

"Luna Ruby, you are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. You have such a good personality. You and the king are so compatible so stop thinking of Miss Selena and rest your head"

Of course I wishes I could listen to her but my mind refused to heed to the warning, I ended up thinking of several senecios that could involve Pyrrhus and that woman. 

"Serve me some food, I'm famished" I tell Kate who leaves to bring the food.

I'll eat and forget whatever I might be thinking and dreaming of, he can ask well fool around with as much woman as he wanted I don't care.

I'm sure nothing will happen to me so I stick to our contract for five months and then I'll zoom away.

Kate brought the food and I didn't bother to even go to the dinning. 

Pyrrhus came in at this moment and I must say I really feel so compelled to ask him questions but I held it in.

I watched him pass me and was about to go upstairs when he noticed something and came back again. 

"What?" I ask.

Pyrrhus frowned and said, "Can't you eat more cleanly?"

Scoffs, Now that he's seen his first puppy love he had more guts to shun me despite what we talked about in the car before. "I've washed my hands. Why aren't they clean?"

He sighed and rolled his eyes. "But still yet, Ruby you have to be courteous"

I don't know where the anger that made me almost yell at him comes from but I gnawed at him, "Ohh, Dear King Pyrrhus, I'm sorry for being uncourteous but can you just stop comparing me to some kids that just graduated from school? I don't see why...."

"Did I mention anyone?" His voice interrupted me. 

Screw!!! How should I forget that he didn't mention anything about her to me. But still yet, I put on a brave face, "You promised not to be cold to me again. It's obviously because your first love came around. I saw her"

Pyrrhus watched without any words for a while. It made me doubt I'd made some mistake if some sort and I started gesticulating what it is that I've done wrong. 

I was expecting him to say something better but his words off me, "That's right. Selena is my first love and she's more courteous than you are. We can't be together because of curse and mates bond issue, so can we rest in peace now?"

I almost feel like slapping him, Living with this kind of man was really torturous. No wonder he never has any wife even without the curse, heavens know if he'll ever have a wife.

I raised my head and looked at him, But I realized that his gaze was even more intense. He was staring at my face, looking as if he wanted to tear me apart and eat me alive. His eyes were red.

How have I offend this egoistic capitalist again?

To avoid his trouble, I quickly said, "Don't be angry anymore. I won't eat in the living room again, I'm just angry that you're comparing me to her"

I smiled embarrassedly, but Pyrrhus's face darkened and he walked in without a word.

"Hey, I …" I called out but he's already on the stairs.

"Don't stick your tongue out and lick." He suddenly turned around and stared at me fingers. "Especially in front of the opposite sex."

"What?" I hurriedly looked down at my fingers and fiddled with them. I don't know why he suddenly say this, but what's so wrong in eating with my bare hands?

After he'd left, I hurriedly rushed the food and run upstairs to him.

Pyrrhus was  leaning against the single-seater sofa, one leg crossed over the other. He looked very elegant and composed. The lights shone on his face and he looked a little combed. His posture was very casual, but he looked good no matter how he sat.

I stopped there and looked at him. Then I quietly walked in. Suddenly, I heard him call my name , "Ruby?"
