RUBY ~

Now that my things from the hospital has been brought, I glanced at the contract he had signed and sighed.

Is this really the best option now? Like he said, I can still withdraw my decision some i haven't signed the contract, but what choice do I have?

Still thinking of this my phone beeped, it was a message from my sister Ella. How nice of her to think of calling me at this time.

After two weeks of being gone from Redmoon pack, she could think of calling me now? I sighed and picked the call gingerly even though I'm very angry.

"Ruby?" I heard Michael's voice rang.

I scoffed in dismay and distaste, They're now close enough to be using thesame phone.

I gulped, "I'm happy that this call was picked me and not my dead body" I responded with deep grudge.

"Where are you Ruby? I... I was very worried that too have nowhere to go and...." His voice cracked, "You didn't take the alimony, so where are you? I've been looking for you"

"Looking for me so I could come and sign the divorce papers again or to watch you mark your mate again?" I quipped. "You only remembered to call me after two weeks of my disappearance, what a nice ex husband you are Mich"

He hiccupped, "I... I just want to apologize and... "

"Why are you always a fool Mich?" I head Ella's voice interrupt. I smiled, "I hope you two are enjoying your honeymoon?"

"Look Ruby we... " Mich was about to say but Ella snatched the phone and I heard her yap like a dog that she was, "Die and never come back Ruby Moon!"

My heart clenched and she continued, "Ruby I've always lived in your shadow since childhood, can't you let me have my mate at least?" She sound concerned, "I've always let you have your way Ruby but now you lost to me!"

My heart thumped with pain and I can't explain with which intensity I use to bite my lips. "I made him call you to tell you this, better stick to whenever you are and never show your ugly face in our lives. I think you should even take this time to invest in your acting career. Remember you stopped coming to set as extra when you get married?"

This is like another slap to my face. How dare her bring a memory I have long forgotten into these? Because of my marriage to Micheal, I have to dash the idea of becoming an actress, it was a very painful decision but I had to take it for him, now all these......

"Don't listen to her Ruby" Came Michael's yell. "Did you see how he's still hanging on around you despite the mate bond? I'll kill you if I see you around us again!!" Ella yelled and ended the call.

Even though the call has ended, I was still numb. Pain gnawed in my heard with great force I can't explain and my eyes dimmed with tears.

How dare them call me now that I'm trying to live a quiet life? I bit my innocent lips with such intensity that i could taste blood.

"Have you now consider signing my contract? Luna Ruby?" I heard the familiar cool and serene voice behind me and I turned to see Pyrrhus standing before me.

I staggered back and my grip on the phone relaxed making it drop to the cold floor. "Oh.... I..."

"You're bleeding?" He sound so alerted and before I could realize what's happening, he's already before me and cupping my cheeks.

Blood ticked to my dress from my lips and I don't know what to do. He stared for a long moment before leaning down and I feel those hot quivering lips on mine.

He just kissed me.

My eyes widened but I stayed still as he sucked on my lower lip that I bit with pleasure as if savouring the taste of my blood.

I'm too weak to retaliate, I just let him kiss me until he's satisfied. Slowly he raised his head and his thumb brushed against my cheeks, this is when I realized I had been crying.

"Did you still not want to take a revenge?" He asked with a cold voice that's enough to send me to the ninety nine layers of Iceland.

I shivered at his touch and the memories came back juggling to my brain like a movie flash back.

"Sister, I'll help you tell the director to cancel your name from the cast of the new movie, he'll replace it with my name" ~ Ella after I quit acting

"You'll probably die as an extra character.You know the viewers don't like a young female lead that's married in real life? And to a Beta? You have to choose between your marriage or my movie set!" ~ the movie director

"No!!!" I can't help but yell and stamp my foot to the floor in a fit of rage. They've taken advantage of my innocence and love all these while.

Pyrrhus held me from falling when I almost jab my butt to the ground. I looked into his and I see nothing but love and sincerity.

But to believe this a bitter pill to swallow now. Micheal also looked at me like that in the past. He also held from falling like this and wiped my tears when I'm down but what did I get in return?

Impulsively, I pushed him back, "No, I can't get decieved twice. They took everything from me. My career, my dream, my love, my trust, my kidney.... I can't sacrifice more Pyrrhus, let me go before I sign these papers"

He struggled to let go of my hand. I turned my back against him, I can't get fooled again, I really can't.

"Alright" He said finally. "I will never force you to do what you don't wanna do. Your life, your rules" He breathed and I could hear his footsteps retreat.

Did he.. did he just go without trying to persuade me? I can't believe this as I turned back only to see that he has already left.

How can he be so brazen too after all the promises he made to me? I know it. Men are dogs!! No matter the position either an Alpha or a Beta or a Lycan.... They're the same.

With anger brimming inside of me, I grabbed the contract to rip it into pieces when I heard....

Coming back to the room with the MP3 player was Pyrrhus smiling as if he's coming to propose.

When he got to where I was, he paused the song and look into my face, "I've let Ruby Moon, Beta Michael's wife go. She has refused to sign my peaceful contract to help her get revenge.... "

What is this man doing? Is he fuckin dumb?

"Pyrrhus what are you..."

"Now I want my mate" He breathed slowly. "I will make them pay!" His voice suddenly turned ashen, "Those that has hand in making my mate cry.... I'll tear them apart and bathe my car with their blood!"

I'm too awestruck to talk, "Pyrrhus...."

"I don't have anything to do with Ruby Moon, Beta Michael's wife wife but now for my mate... I'll make them cry just as much they have make you cry" He says.

I was touched by his words so much that I don't know when I hugged him without ado.

"Now, I don't want to be Ruby Moon, Beta Michael's wife again" I say and released him to take the pen and sign the papers. "Now that I've signed this contract Lycan Pyrrhus, we share thesame burden for five months. You take revenge for me and I'll be your Luna and mate"

A generous smile spread across his face, "Let's get you back to the screen. Not as Ruby Moon, But as Luna Ruby, Lycan King Pyrrhus Oberoi's Luna!"
