Shopping with the King

I hopped into the car with Pyrrhus whose expression and the ambience around him is still very cold and unwelcoming.

I wonder what's with this new attitude he's using.

This Ferrari is very big and spacious unlike SUV from yesterday. Pyrrhus didn't spare me a glance but kept checking his wristwatch as if all the time in the world had gone from him.

"Did you have an appointment?" I finally gathered the courage to ask when it now looked too obvious that he's checking his wrist watch every millisecond.

Pyrrhus sighed, "The movie director says we should arrive before the shooting starts and the Alpha king of Redmoon pack is coming to visit again for a meeting.....so...." His voice trailed off.

I blinked severally after hearing how tight his schedule was and my matter is the first on his list. I just keep finding it hard to adapt to this strange Lycan.

I didn't say anything but laid back af looked ahead of me. If he made me the actress I wanna be, then that's not too bad for the benefits of a Luna? He's even said it last night that I'm no longer Michael's ex wife to him but his mate and Luna.

After driving the car for some time, I suddenly feel a cold gaze around me as if something annoying and angry is looking at me.

And yes, immediately inturned my head, this Lycan is looking down to the floor. I was surprised that he could concentrate on looking at the floor instead of facing the road.

"Pyrrhus you're driving..."

"Shhh" he placed a finger on his lips to stop my bicker. It's until this time that I realized that he was looking at my leg.

I slowly looked down too, to see whatever he's looking at and Damn!

The leather seats inside gave off a nice fragrance and the foot mats, are of best quality but my leg.....

"Why are your shoes so dirty?" His tone was rather harsh.

I just made a nice but ugly footprints on his nice footrest so he has the right to sound harsh, I grinned embarrassedly "I.... I actually forgot to clean them and since I don't have much....

Seeing Pyrrhus's good-looking eyes frown again, I curled my lips to reassure him, "Don't worry, I'll go shopping after we've met the director"

"We can as well go shopping now" he commanded and turned the car to another path. My eyes widened in rage. Can't this man just be patient for once? How can he forsake his schedules to go shopping with me?

"Come on, you don't have to shop for me because I asked for it, I'll get myself some nice clothing soon. You don't have to worry about me, I can't take more of your time.

However, Pyrrhus was looking at me scrutiny, "I promised to take you back to the limelight and give you the best things. I haven't forgotten them so stop whining!"

I can't lie, I was moved. "Thank you for doing all these for me"

His experience changed back to the normal Pyrrhus who insisted I was his mate. I heard him sneering lightly, "I can do this much for my mate right? I don't take back what I say, so follow my lead"

I faced front again and the ride continued as we drove through the streets of Regal Pack. No wonder they're the biggest pack in South America.

"By the way, why are your clothes so low quality? I noticed it since the day I brought you here, that's why I didn't let Dr Leo let you use any of the dresses in your suitcase" Pyrrhus suddenly asked.

"This is called frugality. What do you know?"

"You're used to thinking of being sloppy as frugality, but I'm not used to it." He looked ahead calmly, his eyes cold as usual.

I snorted, "Yeah. It's good to be rich. You can change your clothes every day. But me, despite my husband's average networth, I still don't have a lot of clothes. And I make sure they're of low qualities so I won't have to splurge his money"

He looked at me deeply with an expression that's hard to call pity or mockery, "Did Micheal resent spending his money on you or you decided to use that method?"

I smiled sadly at him, only heavens know what I passed through under Michael's roof, "You said it yourself that I shouldn't remember bad memories. Those are bad memories I don't want it"

"Of course. Forget the bastard and stop making me get angry at you. Michael doesn't deserve you. You belong here. So tell me other things I don't know about you?" he steered into another neighborhood which seemed to be the last turn till we got to the nearest mall.

Ohh, here we go again with talking like a hero when he's been all cold and sultry since morning. But his words do touch me anyway, I fiddled with my sleeves. I just remembered that I didn't tell him much about my real life. Our conversations are just about my pasts and his.

There's nothing bad in telling him some of where I come from and some important information? "I'm just an illegitimate daughter of my family. Mum died when I was three and dad went missing. Pyrrhus frowned slightly. He looked at me and his gaze slowly became solemn, "Sorry that I asked. But it's okay now, you don't belong there again"

I slowly find myself smiling. Soon, the car pulled up in front of an expensive clothing store.

I was in a daze for real, the place is just way very expensive and classy.

After entering the shop, Pyrrhus glanced at the clothes as if he's the one that will wear them, and said to the shop assistant who followed him, "Find the clothes to suit her size."

The shop assistant's eyes lit up when she looked at me and I adjusted myself.

Sooner, the assistants brought some fancy dresses and hung them on the hanger before me.

"Change into everything. We'll pick the best ones" He commanded before taking his seat like a domineering boss that he was.

I smiled, "It's okay, you don't have to always sound so stern"

"You should get used to it" i heard him say.
