I stared at him with awe. Did he just say I was his mate? I mean, he was a king, ruler of the Lycan, the strongest beast on the earth, and to make his matters worse, this man is cursed, How can he be my mate?

“You…..I am your mate?” I managed to ask through my astonishment.

He looked really angry and frustrated when I asked this like he was when I was telling my story.

I have heard stories about his merciless and heartlessness but the man before me was nto what I expected, he wanted to help me take revenge and now he was my mate?

It doesn’t feel alright. “Answer me, I am your mate?”

“You have to rest.” He said without answering the question I asked and began to head out of the room but I quickly grabbed his hand making him look back at me.

“When you have recovered, I will have my men send you back to your pack, I am sorry for bringing you here withiut your permission” He said coldly.

There wasn’t a slight emotion on his face as he said this which shows that siding Michael really upset him.

“But……….” I was about to say, he left the room.

The door closed and I laid back on my bed. With heavy thoughts and my body grieving with pain, I slept off.

The days rolled by faster than I thought, Dr Leo attended to me and soon, I was gradually getting over the betrayal and trying to adapt to my new life.

I would walk around the hospital daily and sometimes, I would leave the premises and walked the streets before retreating to my four corner hospital room.

After that day, Lycan Pyrrhus didn’t talk about mate or not, nor did he talk about Micheal any more. He never come around he would only send his assistant, Edison who was most constant.

He always tried to ease my boredom by telling me fascinating stories about the Lycan world and how nice he was so much that I was tempted to ask after him but I didn’t.

To my surprise, I didn’t get to meet the Lycan King after our first encounter. After three weeks, Edison suddenly arrived with a dress.

“The king wants to see you.” He announced.

I looked up at him with surprise “He wants to see me?” Maybe its time to send me back to RedMoon pack like he said.

Edison nodded. “He asked that I get you dressed, he wants me to bring you to his office as soon as we are done.”

Puzzled, I got dressed, and together with Edison , I left the hospital.

My jaw dropped in awe. The Lycan pack was the biggest pack I have ever seen. Built on different acres of land magnificent buildings were adorned with flowers. It was ten times bigger than RedMoon Pack, the buildings there screams nothing but wealth and opulent.

“Are there no Omega’s here?”

He smiled

“There are Omegas and weak Lycans but here, Lycan King Pyrrhus makes sure that everyone gets equal treatment. Everything is just the same here, we shall arrive at Lycan Pyrrhus’s office soon you will love it.”

I was stunned. This is really incredible. Back at RedMoon, Omegas that marry Alphas or Betas are the most luckiest ones which I was but not anymore.

“You are quite a lucky one to be here as an Omega, The King saved you and brought you here, he hardly does that,” Edison said, bringing me out of my thoughts.

I narrowed my eyes. “He once said that but I am wondering why he did that?”

He shrugged his shoulders, “The king has no business saving people, he is a very principled man who cherishes this pack more than anything else. Don’t you know that Beta Micheal and other Alpha’s bow to him, You are so lucky to catch his attention” He giggled..

I said nothing.

Soon, we stood in front of a very large gate.

“We are here,” Edison whispered and a guard guarding the entrance opened the door.

The compound was vast and spacious place. More bigger than any compound I have entered before. Entering the building with which was written THE REGAL PACK, I cant help but being amazed by the number of workers in the building.

Everyone looked serious, minding their own business, no wonder Regal Pack is so successful and the biggest pack in country.

The RedMoon Pack’s Alpha is not even as big as half of this. “Come on Miss” Edison gestured to me and we entered the elevator that lead to a large office and behind the large brown desk was Lycan Pyrrhus looking all tall and mighty.

He was more handsome than I remembered and this time, he looked more like royalty. His black hair was neatly brushed and flowed graciously, and his sharp green eyes stuck on me as I walked closer to him.

Neat piles of files were arranged before him and stylish telephone was opposite. I can’t help but drool on the office.

Edison bowed to him and I grudgingly bowed too.

“You can leave now.” He said to Edison who left without any complain.

As soon as Edison walked out of the room, the door was shut and the office fell into an abyss of temporary silence that I could hear my breathing.

“How are you?” He asked as his eyes scanned me.

I didn’t say a word to reply him or make any gesture. He stood up and walked majestically towards me with calculating steps.

“What’s your name?” He asked.

I sighed and looked into his eyes because by this moment he was right before me.

“Why do you want to know my name? Did you say you are sending me away after I get better?” I replied with a suave tone which I knew upset him and that is what I wanted, he kept me there for so long and disappeared, who does that?

He gazed at me in surprise as my eyes locked with him.

“Even if I’m to do that, I have to know your name at least?”

I stared at the man. I don’t know if it’s safe to tell him my name or not since we are not going to see each other anymore.

He chuckled and I looked at him, wondering what’s funny

“Listen.” He spoke out, his gaze not leaving me. “This isn’t the way things are being run here, Omega or not, we have to know your name”

“Are you going to say I am the woman you fucked again or your mate? How can you keep me there and don't visit since that day because I said I don’t want revenge on my ex-husband?” I said firmly but calmly, making sure that there wasn’t a hint of an expression on my face.

He smiled. “So you can be angry because I didn’t show up? That shows that you missed me, so how are you feeling now? And…”

I didn’t make any reply at first but stared hard. But after a while, I felt there’s nothing bad in telling him my name.

I cleared my throat and as steady as I could, I cleared my throat, “Ruby, Ruby Moon, that’s my name”

He stood still for a while as if something stuck him. “Ruby Moon?”
