"Ruby Moon?" I repeated.

She leaned over to me, "I don think your purpose of inviting me here is clear enough Lycan Pyrrhus, how about you come to see me at the hospital later?" She asked.

I could sense that she's feeling insecure over something which made me more surprised as I asked, "Would Miss Ruby give me the honor to ask what you really want me to do for you right now?"

"What to do for me? I'm sure you didn't call me here for that?" She asked.

I rolled my eyes in exasperation. Theo also groaned with worry, 'Can she just talk normally for once?' Theo was frustrated, he wants me to quickly ask her to stay.

I cleared my throat, "Em.... I... I called to tell you that you're free to stay here untill you're ready to leave"

She looked at me again with surprise, "You mean you're letting me stay here?"

I sighed, "I will take you back to Redmoon of you don't like it here"

"I...." She was about to say when the door opened and some group of people came in. They're the pack elders. Gideon rushed in after them and bowed to me.

"I apologize my king, but they insisted on barging in"

I waved at him and he left while the men looked at Ruby without bowing to me. I find this behavior outrageously rude, "Elder Tony what's the issue?" I asked with anger.

None of them replied as they looked at Ruby as though she was some alien. When she finally turned around to meet their gazes, I don't know why but she looked petrified.

"I.. I will come back later" she said and dashed out in frenzy.

I watched her run out of the throne room with surprise, how fast does she make her own decisions, does she ever think at all?

The elders looked surprised at her attitude before bowing at me and taking their seats.

"I non of you come here just to see how my office looks like?" I snapped.

Gama Tony was the first to talk, "We apologize my king but we also have the right to demand an explanation. Allowing Omegas to roam around freely in your tenure is enough, what about the one that just bolt out of here?"

“Elders of the Lycans.” I called and the men looked at me with displeased looks. "So you also want me to disregard my fated mate because she's an Omega?"

They're surprised because everyone is aware of the curse I'm carrying.

Elder Clinton stood up and walked closer to the desk, "King, we all know what happens to the previous ones which means she's not an exempted. As far as she's concerned, we all know that she's married to a Beta from the neighboring pack, what explanation did you have for that too?"

This questions sent spikes of anger through me as I realized that he was saying the truth about dying when it clocks two years. But she still have five months which is of course enough for me.

But what do I do to save her before the five months period? How I wished she understands what I'm doing for her right now.

Then an idea suddenly popped into my mind.... Looking up to the elders, I smiled, "Anyone is free to leave or wait, I'll be back soon"

The elders were about to stay something but I dashed away in the speed of light.

She's nowhere to be found around the office of cousin she might've gone back to the hospital.

Crazily and hurriedly, I arrived at the hospital and met her playing some games with the nurses.

The nurses bowed and excused us leaving me with her. She eyed me dangerously, "Why did you come here? Did your elders say you should kick me out?" She snaps.

I smirked with a scoff, "Did you have to always think of bad things? Well I come with a proposal"

She sat on the bed as she grabbed an apple from the fruits basket beside her, "Lycans can be corny too" She mused "What proposal?"

"Be my Luna"

"What?" Sh looked up at me with shock. This is not a part of the plan but I felt I should include it now. With this kind of temperament she had, she'll definitely not agree to staying here for as long as 5 months. Since we're mates, I can as well make her my Luna.

I walked a step closer to her but she raised her hand to stop me. "Don't come closer"

But I didn’t, instead, I walked towards her. “I am only doing this to help you, just for five months, be my Luna" I proposed again.

There was an unbelievable look on her face. “Help me? By telling me to be your Luna? Hey Mr Lycan, first you brought me here without my permission and second you insisted that I've slept with you before and thirdly, you said we're fated mates and now I should be your Luna? Have you lost it?"

I was flabbergasted by her outspokenness. "No... Not what you're thinking...."

"Then what? All these tactics is still to sleep with me?" She asks in a tone that made me wonder how her ex husband cope.

“We are not mating.” I spoke out and continued. “Nothing as such is going to happen between us. Something really came up and I need a Luna for just five months. The elders are suspecting you too, they hate Omegas I only allowed Omegas for some personal reasons, if you become my Luna, you'll be free from Omega discrimination that's all over the packs This is for your good, Ruby, help me and I'll help you.”

At the sound of her name, she looked up at me.

“I don’t trust you!” She sassed. “How should I believe a man who brings a woman home without her consent?"

I scoffed. "Beta Mike is really lucky to have a wife who's so devoted to him even after divorce. But it will do you more good to let go of your pride and do what’s best for you.”

Saying this, I turned around and headed for the door.

“Wait!” She called and I halted.

“It’s just a contract marriage, right?” She asked but I didn’t say a word.

“Okay, I will do it but just for five months and after five months, you disappear from my life for life" She said,

“Good.” I muttered and walked out of the room.

'I don't think it's that hard to get her' Theo jubilates.

I smiled in my mind, 'Now I've done what you want, she can stay by our side till... Till her time is up'

Theo was elated.

Walking into the car, I dialed Edison to prepare some good dress for her before I come back from the office.
