CALIANA'S POV

This can't be, he can't be my mate. I have dreamed and fantasize a lot about my fated mate when I turned 18, but here I was staring at a half-naked man with a naked woman underneath him in shameless intimacy and he is my sad mate.

My shoulders sagged, tears burned my eyes and blurred my vision. The sight of my mate with another woman haunted me. It was like a knife had been driven into my heart. I did my best to stay strong, cause right there, I wanted to crawl into a quiet corner and cry my eyes out.

But Instead, I held the doorknob and closed the door. After all, I interrupted their play time, might as well give them some privacy.

"Ma'am!" Another young woman with beautiful blond hair came to where I stood.

I said nothing in return, I watched as she smiled at me, but I didn't react to her kind gesture.

"Please come with me, let's get you settled in another room." She walked further down the hallway, and I reluctantly followed her.

There was another door and I hoped no one was sexing in there. The woman opened the door and led me in.

I was too hurt to admire any further, I suddenly felt hate towards this place, the Alpha and the bitch he was screwing.

"Ma'am I am Juanita and I will be assisting you in the meantime, if you need anything, I am a bell away." She pointed to the wall where a switch circuit was, I presumed a room bell.

"Thanks!" I said and muted my mind from the real world, I needed to talk to Alexa and seek a better explanation for what had just happened.

"I know you are angry, but look on the bright side, we have a mate now, not just any mate but the Alpha of Golden Stone," Alexa said like she had been practicing that to cheer me up.

"And this same mate was screwing an almost unconscious woman in his bedroom, I would have gladly had a pauper as a mate than him." I spat out, clenching and unclenching my fist.

"I apologize for what our mate did, but I can bet it would never repeat itself." I shook my head annoyed that Alexa was taking everything so lightly.

"Why are you apologizing for that manwhore, you are acting like you didn't feel the pain, you ought to be as furious as I am, why do you sound so calm."

"Let's be excited that we found our mate, Aliana. You should be happy, 'cause I am." She was right, she wasn't lying when she said she was happy, I could feel it through the bond, her excitement was nothing to write home about.

I didn't reply and she used that as a means to move to the back of my mind so I could think things through.

From losing my freedom to finding my mate in bed with another woman, my fate couldn't get any worse, but somehow I felt the worst was yet to come.

Alexa is happy and unbothered, she's so strong and brave to have ignored the bad things and focused on the good ones, why can't I do the same, I can't fall weak, now is the time to brace myself up and never show any sign of weakness.

A knock on the door disrupted my sleep, I opened my eyes and stared out the window it had darkened out. I left my bed and opened the door for whoever knocked on it.

It was Juanita or something, I can't remember her name, she had a couple of bags in her hands and behind her were two other ladies also holding bags.

I let them in and watched as the other two ladies went straight to the large oak wardrobe that I didn't notice was there.

The bags they had brought contained clothes, all sorts of brand clothes, and it was being arranged in the wardrobe. Juanita supervised them for a while and then came to me.

"Ma'am! Please change this: the closet is around the corner, I shall prepare your bath in the meantime." She said, placing a blue fluffy robe in my hand.

I left with the robe in my hands and found the closet Juanita talked about. I took off my old clothes and changed Into the robe. I came out and met Juanita at the door waiting for me. The other maids were gone.

"Your bath is ready ma'am, freshen up and change into that dress." She pointed to a red dress laying on the bed. " I will send in the stylist to make your hair." She gave a neck bow and turned to leave but I stopped her.

"Stop calling me ma'am please, my name is Caliana, and what is going on, why this much preparation, is something happening?" I asked desperately for an answer.

"Sorry ma'am, but I cannot call the future Luna by her name and nothing is happening other than dinner with the Alpha and his Beta," Juanita said and bowed again, this time taking her leave.

"Future Luna." I gasped in fright, there had to be some mishap, they must be mistaken, I am oblivious to the first thing about being a Luna, and not just any Luna, but the Luna of Golden Stone pack, this has to be a dream, I need to wake up.

"It's not a dream Aliana, you are indeed a Luna, and worry less, you are more than fit to be a Luna." That was all Alexa said.

I had my bath in the jacuzzi mixed with warm water, Lavender bobble soap, and vanilla milk extract, extravagant. I rinsed my body and stepped out in my robe.

I wore the dress Juanita picked out for me, it was a red maxi dress, fitted perfectly.

I wore the fluffy slippers kept by the side and sat on the makeup table, waiting for the stylist to arrive.

She did five minutes later and styled my hair in a ponytail. It was neat and beautiful, but I could have done it myself if they had given me the chance.

The stylist left and I was left alone,

"please come with me mam" juanita called from outside.

"Okay." We walked out of my new room and headed for the elevator, I noticed the stairs at the end.

The elevator opened and I found myself on another floor. This part was the dining room. It was too large and fingers crossed that all the pack members could fit in there, they made the hall a dining area. It's what I would call; Mother fucking wealth.

Juanita directed me to the 24-seater table, it already had two occupants.

"Alpha Edward, Beta Jamal." Juanita's neck bowed but I wasn't paying attention to what was happening.

My heart skipped a beat when my eyes locked with his, I felt sparks and an electric feeling washing through my body. He looked drop-dead handsome, his Green eyes to his long lashes, his black soft looking hair, smooth white skin, and red lip. Oh moon Goddess this has got to be a joke.

Juanita nudged me with her foot and I turned to see her staring at me, no not just her but the Alpha and his Beta.

I stared back at her and she mouthed a 'Bow', I turned back to them and bowed cursing inwardly, way–to–go on my first impression.

Juanita drew out a chair for me and gestured for me to sit down. "Thank you." I sat down lowering my head, too embarrassed to stare at anyone.

Juanita left and two women appeared from nowhere, they dished out the meals and also left.

Garnished chicken breast, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, and cream pie for dessert, my glass filled with orange juice, my stomach growled loud enough to have my cheeks flushed in embarrassment.

But right now my mouth watered and eating was the next line of action.

Three minutes into my meal I heard the worst." Please take it easy on your plate, it gets hard to breathe while eating that fast, the food's not running away."

I stared up and came in contact with Grey's eyes staring back at me, they held concern but his words were embarrassing.

I haven't seen these men, but right now I noticed they had a striking resemblance, but the eyes were different.

Edward had Green eyes, while Jamal's was Grey. " I am sorry." I apologized and ate slowly this time.

Jamal cleared his throat, dropping his spoon, guess he was already filled, he took a napkin and wiped his mouth clean.

"Alpha Valerian of the Blood Sky pack called, he's ready to sell the lands, but he asked for a few days to inform his council. What do you think?" Jamal asked, I was surprised he would talk about that in my presence, but I remembered I am the future Luna, this serves as an acknowledgment.

"24 hours is all he has, any further delay would mean war,I won't hesitate to wipe out every member of his pack from the surface of the earth," Edward replied, his words sending chills down my spine.

That was a ruthless thing to say, and it made me super uncomfortable.

I lost my appetite and slowly got up, bowed, and left hurriedly. Juanita was nowhere to be found, but thank the Moon Goddess I knew the number of my floor.

I used the elevator and got back to my room, I bolted my door, and slumped on my bed, exhausted and filled with delicious meals, my dessert flashed into my memory and I smacked my head in regret, I missed out on the lovely-looking pie.

I wonder if Juanita is aware that I am in my room right now. The door opened and I thought it would be Juanita but it wasn't.

"Alpha Edward!" I got up and bowed, my eyes shining brightly and my heart racing.

I raised my head and caught him staring intently at me, is he having the same feelings as me?

The admiration in his eyes suddenly snapped and changed to that of anger." You are the future Luna of Golden Stone pack, get that into your empty skull and try working on your silly character." I was taken aback by his words, I didn't expect such strictness.

"Yes, Alpha Edward." I reluctantly replied, staring at my fingers.

He closed the distance between us and grabbed my chin in a tight grip, and it foolishly gave me sparks." Look at me when I am talking to you. I own you Caliana, you are mine and mine alone, you are here to please me and labor for my pack, and I would do as I wish with you. Remember this Caliana, you mean nothing to me, being Golden Stone's Luna is your priority and nothing else, am I clear?" His grip loosened around my chin and I backed away in fright, more shocked and scared of the man standing in front of me

Tears welled up in my eyes as I nodded afraid he would get upset.

"Speak."

"Yes, Alpha Edward." I couldn't hold back the tears, they broke free and fell on my cheeks.

"And no one should ever find out that you are my mate, absolutely no one." He growled, I backed further away from him nodding my head in approval.

With no apology whatsoever, he left the room slamming the door shut.

I palmed my mouth muffling my sobs, my chin hurt but it wasn't compared to my heart, my mate indirectly rejected and forced me into a life of commitment all for his pack, how cruel can he be?

I was right, the worst was yet to happen, and now I was super scared for my future.
