Drunk

MALIA's P.O.V.

"Cheers!”

I took a swig of the beer that was offered to me by one of the mansion servants. The drink was delicious, and I was enjoying it a lot. I looked around and saw that everyone was having a great time. The servants were laughing and joking.

I didn't really plan on drinking. Like, hello? I just had my breakfast, but I got caught up in the moment.

Who would've thought that the emptiness outside the hallway was because they were partying here in the hut?

"Drink more!" One of them gave me another drink.

Oh boy, it looks like it'll be hard for me to get out of here.

****

As the night went on, I started feeling a bit tipsy. The drinks kept coming, and I kept drinking them. I was having so much fun, and I didn't want the night to end. I was laughing and joking with the servants, and I felt like I was part of their group.

As I stumbled through the seat I'm in, my vision slightly blurred, I couldn't help but giggle uncontrollably.

I'm fucking drunk.

I never thought I'd find myself in this situation, drinking with the servants of the mansion I just came into. It started as a curiosity; they saw me peeking outside and pulled me in here. Then I learned that they're having a celebration, and somehow, I got caught up in their pleas for me to stay and celebrate with them.

Of course, I accepted their offer. Who am I to turn down a good time?

After everything that had happened recently, this was the perfect opportunity to let loose and forget my worries. The shooting incident had left me on edge last night; fuck, I just realized that maybe the change in my behavior was caused by that incident. Ha…

But tonight, I was determined to embrace the moment.

I'll enjoy myself!

I grip tightly to the edge of the table as my vision becomes blurry again.

I clung onto a glass filled with a mysterious concoction, and with each sip, the warmth spread through my body, replacing my anxiety with a blissful haze.

As the night progressed, I found myself engrossed in conversation with the servants. They spoke highly of Callisto, the enigmatic boss of the mansion. He, an enigmatic boss, is my ass.

They told stories of his kindness and how considerate he was to them despite his intimidating and mysterious appearance, but while listening, I felt like it was fascinating to hear such a contrasting image of a man I had only known as a powerful figure.

"So, Malia," one of the servants, Emma, said, raising her glass with a mischievous grin. "What do you think of our boss, Callisto?"

I chuckled, trying to maintain my balance. "Oh, Callisto? He's a puzzle, that one." I answered, referring to the part where he and the guy on the bar were the same person. "But I have to admit, he's got an air of mystery that's oddly alluring."

The group erupted into laughter; their amusement was contagious. We continued sharing stories, anecdotes, and laughter, with each passing moment fueling my growing sense of relaxation and contentment.

Just when I thought the night couldn't get any better, the door swung open, and there stood Callisto himself. My heart skipped a beat, not out of fear but excitement. I wondered how he would react to finding me in this state. Fuck. What am I even thinking about?

He surveyed the scene, his expression as stoic as ever, but his eyes held a glint of amusement. It was as if he found my drunken state both surprising and entertaining. Callisto had always been known for his seriousness, so seeing even the slightest change in his demeanor was a rare treat.

"Malia," he said in his deep, commanding voice. "It seems you're enjoying yourself tonight."

I stumbled toward him, unable to control my laughter. "Boss Callisto! You should have joined us. We're having a blast!"

He raised an eyebrow, his gaze piercing. "I'm glad to see you enjoying the company of my servants. They hold you in high regard."

The room fell silent as everyone waited for my response. I took a moment to gather my thoughts, my mind spinning from the effects of the alcohol.

"Your servants are amazing!" I blurted out, unable to contain my enthusiasm. "They've been telling me how kind and considerate you are to them, despite your, er, intimidating appearance."

A hushed laughter escaped the lips of the servants, while Callisto maintained his composed demeanor. I couldn't help but giggle at my own boldness, feeling a newfound bravery in my inebriated state.

As Callisto stood there, observing the merriment unfold, I realized I had pushed my luck a little too far. It was time to bid farewell to the servants and retire for the night, as Callisto had surely intended. I stumbled toward him, a playful grin on my face.

"Callisto, my dear boss, it seems I should head back to my room and rest," I slurred, attempting to sound coherent.

He nodded, a faint smile gracing his lips. "Indeed, Malia. It's time for you to get some sleep."

I turned to the servants, still giggling uncontrollably. "Goodnight, my lovely friends! Thanks for the unforgettable night!"

They waved and chuckled in response, their eyes filled with amusement at my intoxicated state.

As Callisto guided me through the winding corridors, his hand lightly resting on my back for support, I couldn't help but feel a tinge of disappointment.

"Ah, Malia," Callisto said in his calm, authoritative tone. "It's time for you to retire to your room and get some rest. You've had quite a bit to drink tonight."

I pouted playfully, swaying slightly as I looked up at him with a mischievous glint in my eyes. "But Callisto, I'm having so much fun. Are you sure you don't want to join me for a nightcap?"

Callisto chuckled softly, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "As tempting as that sounds, Malia, I think it's best if you rest for now. You'll thank me in the morning."

I sighed dramatically, my mind spinning with reckless thoughts. "Fine, fine. I'll listen to you, Mr. Bossy Pants."

With a smirk, he led me towards my room, his grip steady and reassuring. As we walked, a mischievous thought entered my intoxicated mind. What if I could seduce Callisto? Surely, that would be the ultimate adventure.

We entered my room, the dim lighting casting a hazy glow across the space. I turned towards Callisto, a flirtatious smile dancing on my lips. "You know, Callisto, I'm not ready to sleep just yet. How about we have a little more fun?"

He raised an eyebrow, his voice calm but firm. "Malia, you're not in the right state of mind. I can't allow that."

I pouted, my eyes widening with a mix of feigned innocence and sultriness. "But Callisto, I promise I'll remember every moment. Besides, who knows? I might regret not seizing this opportunity."

Callisto's expression changed, and his brows raised. "No. You'll forget everything tomorrow, or worse, regret it."

I sighed, "Whatever."

A faint smile playing on his lips.

As I stepped closer to the bed, a sudden realization struck me like a lightning bolt. "Callisto, you know what? I have a theory. I think you and Mr. Marcus are the same person!"

He smirks, "Do you know? Well, I'll confirm or deny that theory tomorrow. But for now, sleep, Malia."

With a swift movement, Callisto reached into his pocket and pulled out his tie. With practiced ease, he gently secured my wrists together.

"Hey! What are you doing?" I gasped.

"So you'll behave tonight."

I stare at him with wide eyes, shocked at what he's doing.

After tying my wrist, he swiftly put me to bed.

With a commanding voice, he says, "Now, sleep."

"Fine."

He nodded.

He covers me with a comforter and turns the lights off.

I watched his broad back as he walked toward the door.

He peeked at me one more time before closing the door.

As I lay there, my hands bound by his tie, a drowsy sense of contentment washed over me. The last thought that lingered before I succumbed to sleep was the anticipation of unraveling the mysteries of Callisto and Mr. Marcus.
