Chapter 19

Elijah's P.O.V

"She's not out yet?" Mom asks, referring to Camila.

After Camila kicked her annoying sister into the pool, Marina pulled her into the house by her arm. I tried to stop her, but she just said it would be fine and still pulled her with her.

Mira was freaking out, it's been thirty minutes and Camila hasn't come out of the study. Her family was in their with her. From what I've seen, they all treated Camila as if she was the lowest of them, they bullied her, especially her sister, I liked how silent Camila would appear to be while they bullied her.

But they were being irrational, always blaming her and using her as their mascot, it was sickening, I have always seen it over the years, and it especially made my mother angry, she never liked them pretending to be a happy family but behind closed doors, they were heartless people. 

"No, I haven't heard anything either" Mira says fiddling with her cardigan
