CHAPTER 6 - THE REAL 'RUBIA'

Rubia's memories start flowing through Sarah's mind. *

She finds herself in an empty room with nothing but a line dividing two sides of the room. *

"Where am I now..?" asked Sarah as she examined her surroundings

"You've finally come. I was starting to get tired waiting for you. By the way, what's your name...?" said a familiar voice from behind Sarah

"Ah. My name is Sarah James... You...! Rubia!? Is it really you...!?" exclaimed Sarah as she rushed to the other side of the line

"You can't cross that line, Sarah."

"Why not...?"

"Only souls that have passed away can pass through this line."

"So, you truly are dead..." said Sarah with a depressed tone

"I am. Why else would you be in my body." said Rubia 

"Wait, then how am I talking to you right now...!? Am I dreaming...! Damn this dream feels so real even you are here wow I'm surprised...-"

"Hush!! Keep quiet for once. I only have one chance to talk to you so stop bickering about nonsense right now. Well, are you ready to hear me out now...?" asked Rubia

"Yeah... I'm sorry." answered Sarah

"Fine, I'll start by answering your question of whether I'm alive. I have already died. You don't need to ask questions of why I died since you already know."

"I am aware of that."

"I have accepted my death... I don't need you to take revenge for me."

"Then..."

"Sarah... I am already dead and the only person who knows it is you. Please take care of my parents. I wish I could have seen them for the last time but my time is running out... I spent the last time I had waiting for you to come to meet me here. "

"I... If you trust me all that much there's nothing, I can do huh...? Alright, I'll live your life, but before that can we be friends I've always admired you from the novel and I really wished you didn't-."

"Sure, in exchange for you living out your life we shall be friends."

"Thank you, Rubia."

Sarah wakes up with tears overflowing. *

"Good morning miss did I wake you up by mistake and you're crying, miss is you all right...?!" said Sandra with a worried tone

"Sandra... it's alright." said Sarah

Sarah's Pov -

That was definitely not a dream... I met Rubia.

"*Hic*"

"My lady...?!"  exclaimed Sandra

"It's nothing, Sandra."

"..."

"Sandra do mom and dad have some time today...?"

"Shall I ask the butler then miss...?"

"Yes, please do."

"There's no need for you to talk to me with formality miss."

"Alright, Sandra.."

"Yes, miss...!"

Sarah's Pov -

I feel the relationship between the maids and me has improved compared to the past.

I'm relieved... What was she trying to tell me in the end...? I couldn't hear her...

"Miss, the butler told me that the duke will be free during tea time during the evening." said Sandra

"Alright then... But what of mom...?" asked Sarah

"The Duchess has gone to the house of Leonne for conversing with the viscount."

"Thanks, Sandra."

"Yes, miss."

The house of Leonne huh... I feel I have heard of them in the novel but, anyways...

The first step I have to take to improve my fate is to make the nobles aware of me.

In the novel, Rubia was seen as an idiot who had no clue about politics.

In this life, I will change their impression of me.

Oh, right I have gotten most of the memories of Rubia and she seems to hold a grudge against some of the young ladies of noble families.

The next time I get an invitation to a tea party might as well put them in their place.
