Chapter Twenty Eight
Chapter 28
* Jacob POV *
After Angel took Penny and I to school I went to get my schedule then parted from the girls. I had all the opposite classes from my sister. I was kind of happy, this way it would force Penny to open up and talk to others, and I mean mind link with others in the pack. Dad said we could trust members of the pack so I knew any person she met here from our pack was safe. At least I hope he was completely right.
My sister met her mate and most likely she would meet up with him today so I had to let her grow up some and move out from my shadow. Besides I had my own issue with my mate. I was not interested in seeing her. I needed to make sure my sister was alright before I get tangled in a situation of my own.

Chapter 30 Bobby chased after me, with much enthusiasm. His chocolaty eyes glowed with delight. I had to admit this was also much fun for me as well. The hall to my room was a long one and as soon as I made it to my door I felt Bobby’s hands on my waist. After that chase having his hands on my body lit me up like fireworks. Bobby took me by my waist and picked me up bridal style. We were still outside my bedroom. I had never been carried by a man before. Chapter 31 I lay in my bed just taking in Bobby’s smell, and thinking about the day before. I don’t think I moved all night as Bobby held me in his strong arms. It was the best night of sleep since the night Jacob laid down with me to keep the dreams away. Those very dreams that have haunted me for years I’d never wish what Mrs. D had done to my brother and I on anyone not even my worst enemy. Or what happened with the other homes we were in after Mrs. D died. But if it happened any different, I might not have the family I have now or the life I have now. Things happen for a reason, and I kind of rather like the outcome. Even if we are still trying to figure things out, I have powers and now we need to see what Jacobs’s powers are. I wasn’t ready for Bobby to find out how bad my past was or that I still had nightmares.

Chapter 32Jacob sat on his bed sipping his still hot coffee. He was looking towards his window in a daze when he spoke up. “When I followed Angel through the woods, I had no idea it would lead to the end of her life. She was only a year older than us and now she’s gone. I can’t believe she’s gone. How can a father kill let alone harm their own child?” I shook my head with my own discuss over the issue. Chapter 33 We sat at the table eating the food mom cooked for us for a long time. It was nice having everyone sitting together and especially treating Bobby as family. It felt good to be part of a loving family. Father had Jacob’s mate called so she could be brought to our house. She was told she needed go to a meeting at the pack house. Chapter 34Jacobs POV I was in near awe of watching my sister teleport twice in a matter of minutes. I left my sister in good hands with dad and Bobby. I needed to have a talk with my own mate Heather. My god she is beautiful. I could not help but stare at her as I walked her to my bed room. Heather was silent as we walked; she just took my hand and followed me, like she already trusted me. We made it to my room; I opened my door and took her inside. Chapter 35 Penny sat with her dad and Bobby in his office. They all watched as Jacob led Heather out of the room. It was silent for a long time as they all took in what had happened. Penny can teleport herself to different areas just by imagining them. They all wanted to know the limits of this gift, but at the same time they were terrified of the cost. How many times could she teleport before it took a toll on her body. Was the teleporting and her visions her only gifts? Chapter 36 After talking for a while in dads office we learned Heather was sixteen and she shifted her first time over the summer. She didn’t skip a grade like Jacob and I did she just started earlier then normal. Most kids in eleventh grade are closer to seventeen then sixteen. Dad suggested we all sit down and have dinner. Jacob is going to cook for us all he wanted to try a new pork dish and with two new people here to try his cooking he wanted to impress everyone. Heather was impressed that he could cook. We all told her how he loves to cook and has been cooking for us for a long time. When you lived in foster care if you wanted to eat you learned how to cook. Most of the adults were too lazy to cook.
