Denis left the meeting room shaking hands with the clients, happy with the terms of the contract. This was the second biggest contract Martin Enterprise has achieved in the first quarter of the year. His secretary was following him behind shuffling papers looking for his next meeting venue when they were stopped by his father’s assistant

“Mr. Denis, your father is waiting for you in his room” Mr. Jack informed him keeping his head low in respect, Denis stopped in his track to listen and moved to his secretary inquiring about his schedule

“When is our next meeting?”

“Sir in thirty minutes” Denis nods at him and rubbed his index finger on his chin

“Ask them if we can delay the meeting to some other day or change the time if it has to be done today” Denis gave work to him and motioned him to go back to his office and he headed to his father’s office which was one floor above his.

Exiting the lift, he took a turn to his left where a long straight corridor was brightening with lights, carpet on the floor, and quietness around making the area peaceful.

Denis used his knuckles to knock on the door, hearing come in from inside he unlocked the door and opened it wide before stepping inside, his father Nicholas was sitting on his chair with his uncle Marco and his grandmother Charlotte sitting opposite his desk.

Denis’s forehead creased seeing the presence of all of them, he greeted everyone and stood beside his father’s chair looking at him questioningly

“There are some matters which we want to discuss and they are to be done immediately”

“Derek and Lucas will join us shortly” Marco also took part in the conversation

“I understood when I saw grandma sitting here that matter is necessary” Denis smiled at her which was returned back to him with a warm smile from Charlotte

“Come sit with me and tell me how your meeting went, meanwhile your brothers join us” Charlotte holds his hand and usher him to sit on the chair that was placed in between her and Marco

“It was a success; terms are all as per our requirement and soon the project will start so hoping for the benefits generating soon” Denis fill them with the details of the meeting he just finalized

“You always make me proud” Charlotte tilt her head smiling appreciating her grandson

“Hey, grandma!” Derek her third grandson hurtle toward her and hugged her from behind, she holds his hand that was around her neck and with the other hand took his face in her palm from behind

“My child took you long to reach”

“We were stuck in traffic” Lucas answered her shoving his hand in his pockets

“Shall we sit so can discuss the matter” before their greeting exceeds Nicholas brought attention to the matter they all gathered for

“Sure” Lucas moved and sat on the single couch present there, others joined him

“We are leading in properties for the last three years and am glad you all put your efforts into bringing Martin Enterprise to this success” Charlotte took the lead and initiates the meeting

“But business has rivals and so do we have, I have heard from my sources that our rival company Thomas and Co. are approaching our employees to make us weak and also I have been informed that they might use hackers to hack our systems”

Denis, Lucas, and Derek exchange look with each other, anger could be seen in their eyes and expression

“Denis, you spend more time here, so I am giving you this task to identify if any of our employees have been approached and if yes what benefits were offered, and further then you know how to deal” Charlotte sternly looked at her eldest grandson who nodded his head and assured her that he will manage this issue

“Derek, you have to keep our systems safe, make efforts to save the system from being hacked”

“And Lucas, you have to come up with an idea to give our rival a test of the dirty game they want to play.”

They all nodded at her, while she moves to another topic

“Also, Nicholas, I told you to talk to the management of City Hospital for acquisition. What is the status?”

“I am in talk with them and it will take a couple of weeks more” Nicholas rested his right leg on his left knee informing his mother

“Make it faster” Charlotte took a sip from her drink

“Acquisition of hospital?” her grandson questioned baffled at the information

“Yes, it will be ten years of my daughter and your aunt Adele’s death anniversary, every year I donate money to charity but this year I want to have a hospital for her, she always wanted to be a doctor and serve people” Charlotte wiped the tear from her eyes corner

The room went silent, the grimace on everyone’s faces. Marco stood and took his mother in his arm

“I am fine, thanks. Nicholas, please do this fast.” Charlotte whispered to her son and stood to leave the office, she needed some time alone
