“Give him the antidote,” I said quietly as Sable passed out beneath me from the pain and shock of what had just happened.

If I couldn’t feel her chest rising and falling, proving she was still alive, I would have been celebrating. Instead, I now had a mess to clean up and a bitch of a sister to deal with once she woke… if she woke.

I sent a prayer up to any of the gods who would listen for her not to wake, but I knew I wouldn’t be that lucky.

“The Alpha first,” Juliana said, her voice strained as she restrained the guard. He was thrashing, and I wasn’t sure how much longer Juliana could hold him back on her own.

I wiped the antidote off the floor and smeared it on Juliana’s hand, much to her displeasure, before running to Kaiden and opening his mouth.
