Chapter Forty-Five

Nikolas quickly came to his senses and rushed out but she had already gone out of the main gates! ‘So fast?’ He thought in his head. He rushed back to his car and started the ignition, driving out of the premises with everyone gaping after him. But he didn’t care as all he could think of was Brooklyn’s jealous retort. She was indeed jealous, wasn’t she? 

He drove out to the streets and kept looking for Brooklyn. He had reached a little farther down the way to his apartment when he saw Brooklyn literally running ahead, angrily. He screeched to a halt a little ahead of her and got down. 

“Get in, Brooklyn,” he said gruffly but Brooklyn ignored him and surged on ahead. Nikolas strode after her and picked her up on his shoulder and walked towards his car.
