VOL 2 : FORTY THREE : CANDICE HOWARD

JANNET’S POV

Before I could throw the bottle at Mathews, I felt a pain in my chest and dropped to the ground the roof. The man beside me held me from falling.

“Hey! Are you okay?” the others also saw me but they couldn’t move from their position or else we would lose.

I held my chest as the pain intensified and the air felt thinner. I took long breaths to get more oxygen into my lungs. One of the female snipers said, “It's Castiel. He saw her on the roof.”

Shit!

The man holding me placed my back against the wall. A few seconds passed and the pain subsided. I could finally breathe.

“Is it better?” the man asked and I nodded, showing him my thumb. “Good. You should stay out of the man’s sight. Or else he will kill you.” he said and got back into his position.

I sighed deeply and stared up at the sky. There was nothing but dark clouds and a few birds flying. I needed to know if Candice was safe or not.

I slowly rose to my feet. Taking some of the bottles with me, I took the stairs
