Kabanata 14 Start Anew

Arwena paused for a moment and gazed at Mr. Tan's extended hand, awaiting a handshake. She was unsure whether to agree to start anew with him, but soon she found herself smiling.

She thought that if she reconciled with Mr. Tan, she could work properly as the coffee shop manager without any hindrance. Moreover, she would finally have peace of mind.

Inaamin naman kasi niya sa sarili na hindi maganda sa pakiramdam ang may kaalitan. Tama na ‘yong sina Farah at Jake lang ang mapanira sa buhay nila.

"But if you don't want to, it's okay. I won't force you," malungkot na sabi ni Mr. Tan, at ibababa na sana ang kamay niya.

“Mr. Tan," sabi ni Arwena, habang nakatitig na sa mga mata at tipid na ngumiti, sabay hawak sa kamay nito na kanina pa nakalahad. “Mag-umpisa tayo bilang friends,” nakangiting sabi ni Arwena na may matamis na ngiti sa labi.

Mr. Tan's eyes immediately sparkled, unable to suppress his smile. He couldn't hide the happiness he felt.
