*Accidental Surrogate For The Ruthless Billionaire*

Blurb:

Eloise Laurent thought she had it all—a loving husband, a beautiful home, and the promise of a bright future. But her perfect life shattered in a single night when she discovered her husband, Damian, was about to take another wife. Humiliated, heartbroken, and cast out with nothing, Eloise’s world crumbled. Yet, just as she hit rock bottom, an even more shocking revelation emerged—the child growing inside her wasn't Damian’s. Due to a hospital mix-up, she was carrying the heir of Dante Romano, a ruthless billionaire known for his cold heart and iron will.

What would be Eloise next move?

Would she give in and live under the same roof as the Dante or would she flee from him with his child forming in her womb?

What happens when their chemistry turns out to not be all that dangerous and is rather filled with humor?

EXCERPT:

Suddenly, I felt a grip on my jaw as he raised my gaze up to his level; I could see his eyes burning with such intensity in them that I didn't know when fear managed to slip into my heart as a shiver crawled down my spine.

Oh no, I must've crossed the line.

I trembled, watching him lower his towering height down to my level and then he whispered into the shell of my ear, his breath cool and burning at the same time against my skin.

"Don't dare act fool, little brat. I asked you a question and I deserve an answer." He gritted.

"Y-yes. I promise. This would remain hidden in this kitchen. I won't tell anyone. Not even Claire and Ivy." I said quickly, and his grip loosened on my jaw before his hand fell to his side. I breathed a sigh of relief but jerked up when I felt his hand patting my head.

"Good girl," he praised then tucked his hands into his pants. "Now do the needful, Little one." He said, and I immediately turned around, about to sprint past the door, when his voice halted me in my tracks, my foot dangling in the air.

I slowly turned to him as I swallowed hard, my gaze on the floor while my heart was beating fast in my chest and eardrums.

"Huh?" I didn't hear him the first time, or maybe I did but I refused to believe what I heard. Maybe I heard wrong.

"Let's have a cook-off to know who is better at making this..." He raised a slice of bread up in the air and then dropped it back on the counter as he dusted his palm as if he had just touched dirt before he began walking up to me with precise strides, his gaze locked onto mine.

"I can't let you walk off with the impression that I am horrible at making a sandwich because I know that I am not," He said confidently.

"It's just that it has been a while since I made anything in the kitchen. If you feel this man here is an 'Incompetent CEO', then watch him as he proves you wrong and makes sure you have your head bowed to the ground in shame by the time he defeats you in this cook-off. You're in?" He asked proudly, as he could already see his victory at the end of the tunnel as he brought forth his hand.

Meanwhile, I stared down at his hand, wondering if I should take up this challenge.

I should probably just fall back and tell him I don't want to but my eyes began to sparkle with interest.

I grinned from ear to ear as I clasped my hand with his in a handshake. "Yes. Yes, I am."

"Good." He smirked. "In return, the winner would be allowed to ask for whatever from the loser. Sadly for you, I don't think you have much to offer because I could see you losing already."

"Well, don't you think you shouldn't jump to conclusions this soon, Mr. Romano?" I smiled.

"True, but one thing I know for sure is that I am always right." He said with a knowing look and I shrugged my shoulders.

Dante set the timer and then we began our cook-off.

By the time we were done, It turned out to end in a ridiculous mess, but not on my side because I won.

The loser here currently has lettuce in his hair and all over the side of the counter where he was making his own sandwich.

I was laughing so hard that I almost cried. 🤭

Morgana's POV “What do you think you're trying to do, Xavier?” I asked immediately as I entered his home office. Throwing my bag on his couch. He was obviously busy, but I did not care. He raised his head up from what he was doing, his glasses perched on his nose like the fine man he is. I shook my head to remove those thoughts. He looked so nonchalant, you'd think that he was only my boss and not my husband. “To what do I owe your royal presence?” He said sarcastically in a bored tone. I wanted to slap that bored expression off his face. “Don't pretend that you don't know why I'm here right now, Xavier,” I said, fuming and boiling inside of me. “As much as you think I know the reason you're here, I have no idea, babe.” He said, leaning back on his chair. His calling me almost dissuaded me a bit, but I got myself back in control. “Don't call me that. And stop acting so nonchalant.” I said, and I regretted it almost immediately. “Are you bothered? Xavier's POV “Excuse me, sir?” My assistant, Jerry poked his head through the door. “What?” I asked without raising my head up from what I was doing. “You have a delivery package.” He said, entering the office fully. “It can wait. Add it to the rest of the stash as usual.” I waved off, still continuing with what I was doing. “Erm, I'm afraid I can't do that. The delivery was made personally by the courier, with a message on it saying that it is very important.” He said. I looked up then. He was stretching a brown envelope file towards me. That was rare. I didn't really get packages and when I did, Jerry took care of them only if it was dated back to me directly. “Why can't you check through it like you normally do?” I asked, pinching the bridge of my nose out of tiredness. “I'm sorry sir.” He said in his polished British accent. “The courier had a message that said it should be delivered directly to you and should be opened by you.” He said. “That sounds suspicious.” “I know

Chasing My Run Away Wife After Regret Written By Okwuma Esther (Esther~Writes) Reyna's POV. With all the strength left in me, I dragged the last bag of groceries I bought from the supermarket a few miles away into the house. My hands and neck ached badly as I carried them into the kitchen all by myself because neither the bodyguards nor Alex were around to help me out. Even if Alex was home, I doubt if he would offer a helping hand in lifting the heavy provisions and groceries Into the house. Just the thought of him made my mood turn sour because how can I explain to people that I have no idea when my man would be returning home. ‘it's always been like that anyways,’ I thought, followed by a sigh. He'd leave for days, weeks, sometimes even a month without informing me and whenever I tried asking where he had been for so long, he always gave me the same generic response. "It's none of your business, Reyna. Stop poking your nose into my matters ; your priority should

Reyna's POV.Alex didn't wait a second longer as he pulled me off the bed by my arm and threw me to the ground like I weighed nothing.“Get away from her, you worthless bitch,” Alex cursed. The impact he used to grab my arm and threw me off the bed was heavy which made me hurt my waist as I fell hard on the floor.I shut my eyes, wincing tightly but the pain on my waist was nothing compared to the hurt I felt in my chest. Now that I thought of how our relationship had been in the last months, I was very sure about the reason why Alex always left home without saying a word to me and also spoke to me harshly whenever he was around. It's because he had lost interest in me and was now courting another woman. He had always been sleeping with the bitch that I had considered my best friend all these while! I felt utterly devastated, my heart broken and shattered into irreparable pieces. I was so tired of Alex treating me like I was worthless. As if my only role was to be a housewife, con

Alexander Cage's POV.Three Years Later. My fingers unconsciously clenched into fists as I listened to my uncle's demanding tone on the other end of the line, and I could not stay silent any longer."You can't force me into signing over my company, Uncle Donald. The clause clearly states that I can only transfer ownership if Reyna and I are divorced. But we are still married," I explained, my voice rising in frustration. "We are not divorced. Reyna just disappeared without a word!" I added, struggling to keep my anger in check.Uncle Donald had been on my nerves for the past three years, threatening legal action if I didn’t comply. It had been three years since I'd last heard from Reyna, and I repeatedly tried to explain that I had no idea where she was or how she was doing. Xavier's POV “This isn't what I asked you for. Are you dumb by any chance? What the fuck is your problem? All of you? Do I pay you to give me substandard work?” I slammed my hands on the conference table, and the people sitting jumped. They should. Because, I was obviously in a shitty mood. I don't want to deal with people who don't know what they are doing with what is happening right now. “I need a revamp of that. And the best one at that. If I don't get it by your next presentation, every single person on your team is fired.” I said to the team leader, whose eyes widened with fear. I could see the way they were all shaking. If I had an ounce of regret, I might have gone down on them a bit. Or maybe even apologized on a good day. But there was nothing good about the day. So they might as well deal with my bad moods. “Okay, Mr…Mr Hills. We will get you something better.” He stammered out, and I waved them off. “Get me the best, or you're all toast. Get the fuck ou

Morgana's POV The following days were nothing to write home about, too. There was nothing going on in the house except for the fact that Noah was going to school daily, which he was happy about, and I was going to work. Xavier was going to work too. He didn't speak to me. Well, except for the curt greetings every morning, he does not speak a word to me. It felt as though I was not in his surroundings at all. He was flat out ignoring me. And it hurts. It hurts so bad that I regret what I did every single day. There was no amount of me trying to start up a conversation that helped. After a while, I stopped. When I discovered that he wasn't going to talk to me except for his one word answers. And it felt to me as if I was dying inside. We still slept in the same room. And I feel like the reason for that was because he did not want Noah to notice a thing; he was already a tad bit worried to suspect another rift between us. But Xavier always came into the room late, though. When he

So I waited for a while in the car and called Ella to say I was outside. I knew she would have told the bouncers I was coming. She told me to walk up to them and I did. “I'm here to see Ella Beaumont,” I said, and they immediately let me in after greeting me. I nodded and stepped inside. The place screamed wealth and class. No wonder it was a membership-only bar. There were people around and everyone seemed to mind their business. They were dressed in tux suits and serious dresses. The place almost looked like a party would ensue soon. “Morgana.” I heard my name being called. And I saw Ella, sitting at the bar and having a conversation with another lady. I really hoped to God that we were not having a conversation with that lady present. From here, she looked like she stomped over people with her shoe. I smiled and waved a lit

But I won't allow myself to fall for his lies again. It's happened over and over again. I think I'm the stupid one here who can't even understand something as simple as the fact that I cannot have happiness in my life. “You kissed her in that picture, Xavier. And I don't even know what else you guys did. Have you been seeing her behind my back?” I asked him all the hurt I'm feeling seeping into my voice. I suddenly felt tired. I felt as if I could not deal with whatever is happening right now anymore. “See, I just want to leave. Mm? I want to go. And I'm taking my son with me.” I said with a tone of finality. “You're not going anywhere, damn it. You listen to me right now.” He said in an angry tone. I don't know why, but my blood started boiling too. He had no right at all to be angry right no
