*Accidental Surrogate For The Ruthless Billionaire*

Blurb:

Eloise Laurent thought she had it all—a loving husband, a beautiful home, and the promise of a bright future. But her perfect life shattered in a single night when she discovered her husband, Damian, was about to take another wife. Humiliated, heartbroken, and cast out with nothing, Eloise’s world crumbled. Yet, just as she hit rock bottom, an even more shocking revelation emerged—the child growing inside her wasn't Damian’s. Due to a hospital mix-up, she was carrying the heir of Dante Romano, a ruthless billionaire known for his cold heart and iron will.

What would be Eloise next move?

Would she give in and live under the same roof as the Dante or would she flee from him with his child forming in her womb?

What happens when their chemistry turns out to not be all that dangerous and is rather filled with humor?

EXCERPT:

Suddenly, I felt a grip on my jaw as he raised my gaze up to his level; I could see his eyes burning with such intensity in them that I didn't know when fear managed to slip into my heart as a shiver crawled down my spine.

Oh no, I must've crossed the line.

I trembled, watching him lower his towering height down to my level and then he whispered into the shell of my ear, his breath cool and burning at the same time against my skin.

"Don't dare act fool, little brat. I asked you a question and I deserve an answer." He gritted.

"Y-yes. I promise. This would remain hidden in this kitchen. I won't tell anyone. Not even Claire and Ivy." I said quickly, and his grip loosened on my jaw before his hand fell to his side. I breathed a sigh of relief but jerked up when I felt his hand patting my head.

"Good girl," he praised then tucked his hands into his pants. "Now do the needful, Little one." He said, and I immediately turned around, about to sprint past the door, when his voice halted me in my tracks, my foot dangling in the air.

I slowly turned to him as I swallowed hard, my gaze on the floor while my heart was beating fast in my chest and eardrums.

"Huh?" I didn't hear him the first time, or maybe I did but I refused to believe what I heard. Maybe I heard wrong.

"Let's have a cook-off to know who is better at making this..." He raised a slice of bread up in the air and then dropped it back on the counter as he dusted his palm as if he had just touched dirt before he began walking up to me with precise strides, his gaze locked onto mine.

"I can't let you walk off with the impression that I am horrible at making a sandwich because I know that I am not," He said confidently.

"It's just that it has been a while since I made anything in the kitchen. If you feel this man here is an 'Incompetent CEO', then watch him as he proves you wrong and makes sure you have your head bowed to the ground in shame by the time he defeats you in this cook-off. You're in?" He asked proudly, as he could already see his victory at the end of the tunnel as he brought forth his hand.

Meanwhile, I stared down at his hand, wondering if I should take up this challenge.

I should probably just fall back and tell him I don't want to but my eyes began to sparkle with interest.

I grinned from ear to ear as I clasped my hand with his in a handshake. "Yes. Yes, I am."

"Good." He smirked. "In return, the winner would be allowed to ask for whatever from the loser. Sadly for you, I don't think you have much to offer because I could see you losing already."

"Well, don't you think you shouldn't jump to conclusions this soon, Mr. Romano?" I smiled.

"True, but one thing I know for sure is that I am always right." He said with a knowing look and I shrugged my shoulders.

Dante set the timer and then we began our cook-off.

By the time we were done, It turned out to end in a ridiculous mess, but not on my side because I won.

The loser here currently has lettuce in his hair and all over the side of the counter where he was making his own sandwich.

I was laughing so hard that I almost cried. 🤭

  • Chasing My Run Away Wife After Regret.    Chapter Seventy One

Ava's POV Tears sprang into my eyes. I didn't leave the states, running away from an abusive man, just to walk into the den of another. It's as though I have caught his fancy. And he's going to do with me, whatever he wants to do. The tip of the blade dug a little deeper into my flesh than necessary when I breathed. “I'm sorry.” I spew out. Nervousness took over me and I started to remember what happened with my ex. The fear and everything creeped into me. It made me breathe faster. Like I was having a panic attack. I haven't had that in a while now. They only happen when Kayden hits me too much. And that happened like three weeks before I left him. I felt the knife drop from my neck and my breathing started to balance out a little. Not too much, but I could see through my tears now. And that was because he switched the light on. “You know, for such a little thing like you, you don't seem to know how to mind your business.” He said, nonchalantly. I raised my hand to touch my

  • Chasing My Run Away Wife After Regret.    Chapter Seventy.

Ava's POV The humiliation I felt earlier still throbbed through my body alongside the pain I felt in my right hand that was crushed as I opened the door to my new apartment. Well, I tried to open it with all of my strength and I finally did. I walked into the apartment blindly, not looking at my front and stumbled over the packed box that I had not touched yet. I fell face first and injured myself by hitting my head on the vase that I had not moved out of the way also. “Ouch.” I yelped and groaned as I felt an excruciating pain that walked it way from my injured hand right to my head. I sat up and rest on the couch. Tears sprang into my eyes as the pain continued. At this point, I think I'm just unlucky. There is no way in hell that all of these will happen to me on the same day. After running from an abusive ex who has treated me like the dirt under his shoes for as long as I can remember, I didn't expect that I would get princess treatment from other men. The least I could

  • Chasing My Run Away Wife After Regret.    Chapter Sixty Nine.

~AVA's POV~ “Thank you so much for your help. Those men have been harassing me ever since I started working here a few days ago. It's been so hard keeping them away, but because of both of you, they're finally gone for good,” Archie stepped forward, speaking with genuine gratitude. “No, it’s fine. I just did what any other woman would’ve done—” I began to say, but a voice suddenly cut in. “Archie! Stop gossiping around and get your lazy ass over here! I step out for a few damn minutes and come back to meet chaos in my shop? What nonsense is this?!” Archie flinched. “Oh no, my Madame is pissed. I’ve got to go,” she whispered, then rushed off in a panic. I exhaled deeply as I looked around. The customers had begun to leave after the fight. Maybe because they got too uncomfortable and scared to stay back and besides, the fight was over, and the coffees weren't ready so they had no reason to stay. Slowly, the coffee shop became empty with only me and Jaxon being left in there as th

  • Chasing My Run Away Wife After Regret.    Chapter Sixty Eight.

~AVA's POV~ It's been exactly four hours since I arrived in Evermore Town, and the weather here was freezing in the morning but the good thing about it was that I loved it! The town itself was small and quiet, the kind of place where life moved slowly. People went about their routines with ease, and there was something comforting in that simplicity. It was undoubtedly what I needed right now. Just some peace and quiet. A sense of safety without the constant dread that had haunted me for so long. “That punk showed up at my house exactly ten minutes after you left. He made a fuss when I told him I didn’t know where you were. Even went as far as to threaten me with the same dagger he almost used on you,” Cas gisted over the phone, and I was stunned but not exactly surprised. “But guess what?” “What?” I asked curiously. “I gave him a taste of his own medicine for hurting you. And no, don't tell me anything because he didn't just hit you, he almost scarred your face! Letting him of

  • Chasing My Run Away Wife After Regret.    Chapter Sixty Seven.

~AVA's POV~ My eyes widened, terrified by the sight before me. Has he finally gone crazy or is he just joking? Why the fuck is he pointing a dagger at me? My heart rammed harder against my ribs the moment Kayden took another step and then my instincts kicked in. It was at that moment that I knew I needed to get the hell out of there, to run for my life before he does something insane because right now, he clearly didn't look like he was sane at all. Before I could blink within the next second, the cold metal was already pressed to my neck, grazing my skin as Kayden trapped me against the wall behind. My throat suddenly went dry, but I dared not swallow. I couldn't even utter a word like I did before, not to think of screaming for help when I had something this sharp terrifyingly close to my neck. Screaming for help was almost like calling onto death. Is this happening because I told him I was done? Because I finally said the words I’d been holding back for so long? I’d sp

INTRO: She moved in looking for peace and quiet but too bad I have a fetish for good girls. She’s got a smile made for angels and a body built to break sinners… guess I’m first in line because every time she calls me a ‘jerk' and tells me to stay away, I wonder how she’ll sound screaming it with her legs over my shoulders—JAXON CROSS. He terrifies me. Bullies me. Says things that should make me want to run far, far away… But not enough to stop wondering what his hands would feel like around my waist… my throat… or... my thighs. — AVA SINCLAIR. ~AVA's POV~ I couldn’t stop smiling as I stepped out of colleague's car. The evening air was warm against my skin, and for once, it didn’t feel suffocating. I could finally breath at last. “Thanks for the ride,” I said, brushing my hair behind my ear as I slung my bag over my shoulder. Silas smiled, a casual nod that made me feel normal. “Anytime,” he said. “See you tomorrow, Ava. Also looking forward to dropping you off at home again,”
