It was like he was moving underwater. Everying happened too slow, at the same time he couldn’t stop it. Garrey’s eyes widened. Then the blood bloossomed on his chest and stained the crisp white shirt he was wearing underneath his opened coat.

Richard pulled the trigger again and this time Garrey fell heavily on the ground before the second bullet wound got th echance to blossom.

“Don’t.”

“Mike. Don’t do this. “

“DON’T. “

Mike’s wolf was shouting inside him, at him and calling him by his human name. Mike’s hand on the trigger shook.

“I’ll do it. I swear I’ll do it. “ Mike said out loud.

“It’s not worth it. You know that. Shoot him and it’s over. For both of you. “

The war inside him was loud like never before.

For both of you… His wolf was right.

Mike heard the distant sound of the sirens, approaching at a fast speed.

Richard laughed.

“Now you can arrest me.”

Richard dropped the hand he was holding the gun with and then Mike closed the distance between them. He punched
