Second Run

Liesa just bit her lip when she saw her brother fall after he drank the tea that he put to sleep. Even if what he did was against Liesa's chest, he still couldn't do anything.

She needs it to make them safe. She knows that something will happen after the thing that they released. She studied that vaccine, and she knows when and where it will go wrong. Liesa doesn't want to continue with that but she can't do anything else because the government doesn't want to let her go.

Liesa took a deep breath and stared at her brother. In her mind, she asked for their forgiveness.

"I'm sorry," she mumbled as she took the syringe that had a transparent liquid inside. "I hope you'll understand in the future," she added.

When he injected and put the liquid in the body, William was unconscious.

Liesa stood up again and arranged everything and left again without leaving any trace. Liesa is an intelligent person. She knows when and why she should leave something.

Liesa also knew that the government would look for her, which is why she didn't leave a trace for her siblings. He doesn't want them to feel any more and Liesa also knows that William will also pretend that he doesn't know anything if something bad happens.

"I'm sorry..." Liesa murmured as she took a last glance at their house and left.

"I know you're smart, Liam. I know that you'll do everything once you discover it. I just hope that it won't be too late when you discover the thing that I did."

When William opened his eyes he immediately looked for his brother. He went from the living room to his sister's room, but there is no evidence that his sister came home.

"Did I just dream?" William asked himself in disbelief.

He looked around at the word and could not see anything that would prove that his brother had indeed returned home.

William walks towards the dining room and sees to himself if there's no evidence left, and he was disappointed when he saw that there was really no proof that he was with his sister.

William just winced because he couldn't accept that his brother's homecoming was just a dream.

"Is it really just a dream?" he asked himself.

William suddenly turned around, and he didn't notice the corner of the wall. Thus, he hit his shoulder and his arms. He hissed in pain.

"Bait?"

William frowned. He raised his arm and looked at it carefully. His arms look like from a shot of a syringe. There's a feeling of a little numbness and a little pain.

"She really did come home..." William murmured as he lazily sat down on their sofa. "But why did she leave without saying anything? And… what the hell did she do to my arms?" He whispered.

William just sighed and stood up then he took the thermos and a small basin with some water. He put in hot water just enough to make the water in the basin warm. He also took a clean towel and then wet the towel and put it on his arm where he felt numb and had a little pain.

"Huh? Did you hurt yourself?"

William turned around and saw his second sister, Natasha, looking at him worriedly. William immediately shook his head, and he was debating whether or not he'd tell his sister about their eldest sister going home.

If he tells his sister, she'll definitely be more upset. Natasha was so worried and for all the sacrifices that Liesa made for her, she'd really feel bad if she knew about Liesa's going home and leaving without any notice.

"Let's keep it to ourselves first," William told himself in his mind.

"I just bumped into the wall without noticing," William lied.

Natasha stared at her brother while narrowing her eyes. She's staring at him to know whether he's telling the truth or not. However, seeing that her brother did not flinch or panic, she finally rested assured.

Inside William's heart, he sighed in relief. William knows how over protective his two sisters are, especially Jarvis and them. Even though they were both girls, they were more worried for William and Jarvis. That's why Jarvis and William couldn't lie anymore and they both knew what Liesa and Natasha had to give up just for the two of them.

"I'm sorry, sis," William said in his mind. He was about to cry.

"Okay, you're as clumsy as before," Natasha commented.

Natasha put down her bag and then she helped William. Then they immediately took care of what they were going to eat. Since Jarvis was away and was already at his University, the two of them were the only ones left at home.

"Sister, have you contacted sister Liesa?" William asked and was trying to get information that his brother was missing.

When William looked up, he saw Natasha shaking her head. "Nope," he said and then he sighed. "I don't know what sister is thinking now but I'm sure she has a good reason. She should just make sure that there really is," Natasha added.

William smiled awkwardly. He knew my sisters very well. If they're mad, they're really mad. If they said something they would do, they are serious and they'll do it. William's sisters are frank and straight-forward. Thus, it makes it hard for those people to bully them even though they're already orphans.

"Maybe she really has," William assured.

They were about to eat when they heard a loud noise outside their house. Both Natasha and William are bewildered.

"What the heck?" William said when someone knocked on their door. "What's your problem, people? Don't you guys know how to knock?!" He added angrily.

William stood in front of his sister as he was trying to protect her. There is a group of men who entered their house, and they were wearing military uniforms.

"Is this the house of Liesa Hernandez?" A man who looked like a high-ranking official asked.

William frowned. "Yes," he answered.

The high-ranking looking official looked at William and Natasha. He was evaluating them to see if he could trust them or not. Seeing Natasha's fear in his face and the determination in William's eyes to protect his sister.

"Who are you guys to her?" the high-ranking official asked.

William straightened his back and asked, "Aren't you going to introduce yourself first before you look around our house? Isn't this a trespassing?"

The high ranking looking official faked coughed and said, "I am Major Lary Nador. I am here to look for Miss Liesa Hernandez, who is now being persecuted for stealing a drug," Major Lary said with a straight face.

"Stealing a drug? Wait, our sister is not in the habit of stealing!" Natasha immediately defended.

"So, you guys are her siblings," Major Lary said, as it was clear to him what the relationship between the two people in front of him and the person they were trying to find was. "Sorry to disappoint you guys, but that's the truth. She really did steal the drug that is important to the whole nation- no, world."

William and Natasha looked at each other in disbelief. They didn't think their brother would do this and they didn't believe it either. No matter what other people tell them, if Liesa isn't the one to tell them, they won't believe it. They are so true to each other. For their siblings, no one else will trust them but only them. That's how Liesa raised William and Jarvis and because of the effort that Liesa showed for them, Natasha believes the same.

"Sir!" A man in a military suit appeared from the search into their house.

"Is she here? Or was she here?" Major Larry asked.

The man who appeared shook his head. "No, sir! I saw no proof that she went home. Her bed has not been slept in for several months," the man immediately answered.

"Of course, she wasn't home." Natasha crossed her arms. "It's been two months since we lost contact with her. She doesn't come home and she doesn't text or call us either. Even if you turn our house upside down, you won't see her. Now, tell me, does our sister's not being home for two months mean she's been persecuted?"

Major Lary looked at Natasha and cleared his throat. "No," he replied. "It's only been a month since we looked for him. I think the first month was him working on the drugs he stole," he added.

William glared and Major Lary. "I advise you to stop telling us that she stole something. Our sister is not someone that will steal a thing that isn't hers!"

Major Larry stared at William and then laughed. "Oh, of course, you don't believe. You guys are her real believers. But, of course, I don't believe it either."

William frowned. "What do you mean?" he asked.

Major Lary sighed and then held his forehead. "She's one of my friends. I just don't know why they suddenly want to sieze her," he said and sighed. "Well, at least I'm a little grateful that she wasn't here," he added.

"Sister Liesa's friend?" both William and Natasha said in their minds.

They looked at each other and suddenly came to a conclusion. They know their sister too well. Unlike those scumbags that are accusing her of stealing something and trying to seize her, the man in front of them is different.

"Could you give me information about her?" Major Larry asked.

"I already told you, he's not here. Two months, two months he didn't come home and we didn't even receive a text or call from sister Liesa. Also, if there is something, why would we tell it?" Natasha said in annoyance to which William immediately nodded in agreement.

"Please leave," William said as he looked at Major Lary's eyes. "Oh, but please, before you leave, leave a note for our door. It's not because you're in the military that you can break the door of the house, right? Also, you don't want it to be reported to the police , right? I know that the one who's holding you guys is the government, but can they do anything if other people understand us better?" William threatens the Major.

Major Lary looked straight at William's eyes and chuckled. "He is indeed her brother," he commented in his mind.

"All right," he said. "Use this money to fix your house door. Also, we apologize for barging without any notice," he added.

William nodded his head. "Because you really should," he muttered.

When the military left, Natasha and William ran away. They both sat on the floor holding hands.

"Baks," Natasha called William. "I was so scared..." she added.

"What the hell did our sister get into?" William said in disbelief.

"Liam..." Natasha called William's nickname, and William looked at her. "Let's stay quiet about this for Jarvis' sake. He'll freak out if he knows about this."

William immediately nodded in agreement.
