Orion’s POV

“Get more clothes for me!” I barked on my maids as I couldn't believe what they had brought for me to wear on such an important occasion.

No, it wasn't important because my ex wife was to be coronated today, but because I needed to show her what I was made up of. That she would not just take my child and run with him.

If he was really my child, I didn't know but the resemblance was uncanny, moreover, my mom kept repeating he was my son and who better to recognize someone that looked like her son than she.

I paced and turned inside my room impatiently as I waited for them to bring more clothes. For weeks, I had emphasized on how important today was and that they should bring the best clothes for me, but here I am. Now I wished I had gone there a week ago to make sure the clothes were to my taste.

I turned to the bed and my eyes met a long blue gown laying on the bed, and just when I was about to process it, Arizona walked out of the bathroom with a white towel wrapped around her which she supported with her arms.

“Hey babe, I heard you screaming, is everything alright?”

“Are you really asking me that? Am I suppose to be alright going to my ex wife's coronation as the Supreme Alpha?” I snapped at her and the shock on her face showed it was the first time I had spoken so rashly to her.

I immediately regretted my choice of words but instead of apologizing to her, I looked the other way as she approached her makeup table.

“I'm sorry, babe. I know how annoying this can be and we both know she doesn't deserve that position.” Arizona replied quietly and I scoffed.

Her calm demeanor would not change anything at this point, so I just ignored it.

“I hope you aren't wearing this gown to that coronation.” I said uninterestedly as I sat on the bed and began to put my report together. All pack Alpha’s were to give a detailed report of what had been going on in their pack to the new Supreme Alpha and it pained me so much that I would be giving her the same pack details which I had stopped her from ever going through.

“Don't you like the dress?” Arizona asked back and I turned to look at her.

“Are you seriously asking me that? What does it matter if I like it or not? What matters is that you don't look like you don't have a man taking care of you.” I responded in a stern voice and she sighed tiredly.

“More like I shouldn't wear a dress that will make you look less of a man in front of your ex wife.” She muttered between her teeth but to my hearing.

“Arizona!” I called in warning.

“What? I get it. I get that I can't give you a child but am I really deserving of all these scoldings?” her voice cracked and she sounded like she was going to break down. I felt my heart break with her as I sighed tiredly.

“Just change the dress, please.” I sighed and got back to working on my reports.

Two weeks had passed since the humiliating scene at the mall with Imogene, no matter how I tried to forget it, I still couldn't help but feel embarrassed each time I remembered it which was almost every time.

It would be more accurate to say, I have been humiliated everyday since Imogene sudden appearance and revelation as the new Supreme Alpha. It still didn't make sense and no matter how much digging I did I just couldn't get a hang of what she was up to, or what she had done to get herself that title.

“Alpha, we got three more designs.” A maid at the door spoke and I stood up to open the door.

Immediately I saw the second design, I knew that was what I wanted. It was a white and gold senators that gave this rich man's vibe and it was exactly what I loved.

The maids had also come in with dresses for Arizona.

“Arizona mind linked me to bring in some more dresses.” The maid carrying it had said and i stared at the dresses imagining Imogene in my head and wondering which of them she would've worn while Arizona corrected the maid at the background.

“Luna! Luna Arizona, madam!” She snapped and hissed at her.

“Sorry ma.” The maid responded but I could hear the sarcastic tone in her voice. An insult that Sophia was the cause of, she had refused to approve of her being Luna knowing her approval was very necessary.

This wasn't the time for that though so I just ignored them and focused on the dresses.

“The gold one. Test the gold dress, babe.” I told her and she nodded and beckoned on them for it.

While they dressed her, I dressed myself proudly as I loved the new design. With this, no one would outshine us today.

“You look beautiful, babe.” I whispered when I finally turned to see Arizona fully dressed.

She blushed under my gaze and I felt warmth spread around my heart. This was the woman I loved so there was no need to be jealous of Imogene, she could do all she could but I would never love her.

“Yes, she looks beautifully barren, Orion.” I heard a sharp pained voice from the door.

“Mom!”

This woman was a killjoy.

“What? Instead of you thinking and strategizing on how you'll convince Imogene to let you have parental rights for your son, if possible annul the divorce and get back together as her position now is greater than yours, here you are admiring a barren woman. I pity you.” She spat angrily.

“Mum!”

“Stop calling my name and leave this house already with your wife who can't even rise to the position of Luna talking more about having one child.” she hissed.

“Says the same woman who lied and pursued her daughter in-law because of her greed.” Arizona snapped back and my mum gasped in shock of the attack.

“Babe!” I barked.

“What?” She snapped and hissed before walking out of us.

“See who you call a wife! Insulting your mother.” She screamed shedding those fake tears I had seen five years ago when she accused Imogene of stealing her necklace.

“Excuse me, mom.” I said coldly as i walked past her on the doorway.

The drive to the event was a quiet, tension filled and long one as Arizona and myself had nothing to say to each other.

When we got to the event, we began greeting people as we walked together, when I saw Avery walking in our direction without seeing us and the look on Arizona's face, I knew to ruble was coming.

“Babe, let's get a drunk at the counter.” I said, trying to steer her away from that oath but Arizona’s mind was already made up.

“Hi Avery. The latest child snatcher in this pack.”

“Arizona!” I warned her to keep her tongue in check.

Avery scoffed at her, pulled his hands into his pocket and smiled.

“I don't think I care about what a cheat says.” Avery whispered with his hands in his pocket and before I could blink, I heard a resounding sound like hands had collided with cheeks and yes it had.

The hall went silent as everyone turned in our direction and Avery's hand flew to his face. Whispers were everywhere as not everyone had seen the collision.

I took two steps back from the center of attraction, because there was no way I would get on Imogene’s bad side with my son in her care.

“Don't you dare call me that. Just because you think you have finally latched onto a new catch you think you can….” Her sentence didn't come to an end when another slap resounded.

“Not again!” I exclaimed silently, but realized that this time Arizona was the one holding her cheeks and the attacker was… I couldn't see her face.

Was it Imogene?

“How dare you?” A feminine voice barked around the silent hall and it immediately broke into silent chaos as some laughed, and the rest watched.

Sophia.

“Attention everyone.” a voice suddenly called from the stage and we all turned to meet the red eyes of the new Supreme Alpha.

Imogene.

“Arizona, I order you to apologize to Avery.” She growled quietly.

Arizona seemed to calm down then as she realized all attention was on her and she dared not refuse.

“I apologize.” She proudly muttered between her teeth.

The next thing we heard was a loud growl and I watched as Imogene's red eyes glowed from the stage and her claws began to come out as she suddenly teleported from the stage to the spot the show was happening.

“I won't repeat this statement.” Her voice was deeper now, tension was everywhere and there was a pin drop silence in the hall.

At that moment, I realized I was proud of my ex wife. How come I had never seen this part of her? Even if I had, would it have made any difference?

“Go down on your knees and apologize to Avery as well as everyone in this hall for disrupting their peace, now!”

Imogene's POVI know, I know. You are obviously shocked, but so I am. I don't know where I got that authority from and right now in the silence of this room, I was starting to regret it.What if she didn't do it? What if Arizona didn't go on her knees and apologize to both Avery and everyone in the room like I had just commanded? That will just confirm I wasn't fit to be Supreme Alpha of this pack and I wasn't about to let that happen. So, I thundered a second time after Arizona whispered “I apologize.” I wasn't satisfied with that.“I won't repeat this statement. Go down on your knees and apologize to Avery as well as everyone in this hall for disrupting their peace, now!”My patience was running out and I willed myself to stay on the stage to avoid violence.Arizona turned to look at me with surprise written all over her like she had not thought I was serious or would tell her to do a thing like that.Well, she called this up on herself and I was in no way ready to pamper her. Imogene’s POVThat voice, I hated that voice, and I dreaded the day I would meet her again after five years had passed. She was the root of my problem, the very reason my marriage had crashed.I sighed deeply and felt Avery holding my hands to soothe me before I turned around.“Alpha Imogene, it's good to meet you again.” Luna Celine had a plastic smile faltering on her face.“Just when I thought I had seen it all.” I scoffed and rolled my eyes.“Forgive that my son had been very rude, he doesn't know how to treat a wife he had missed for five years.” Her sweet tongue sang as she kept looking from Xavier to myself.I knew an old woman's problem…. grand children. They were almost all they wished for.So I turned to face Avery.“Babe, I think you should take Xavier to the car, I'll be with you shortly.” I told him and gave him the eye signal which he nodded to.“Alright darling.” Then he turned to the guards. “Don't let anyone breathe the same air as my wife. You… go pay the bills.” He

Imogene's POV Stepping into the limelight is something I've mentally trained myself for over the years. I had anticipated and imagined the look on everyone's face when they saw me and I wasn't disappointed, the horrified look on Orion's face was priceless and I enjoyed every moment of it.Dad smiled warmly at me and gave a little nod. “I present to you, Imogene Krystal Blackwood. My daughter!” Dad introduced me proudly. He smiled, seeing the confused look on their faces and went ahead to explain things.“How can she be your daughter? She's the daughter of a maid!” A woman pointed out. Arizona to be precise.“Imogene is my only child hence, I give you, my heir and as of today, the supreme alpha; Imogene Blackwood.” Dad said, conclusively. There was a faint forced applause from the crowd and I smirked. I took the microphone to address them.“The formal coronation will be done the next full moon which is in a week's time. Thank you! Let the party begin.” I said, dismissively and hugged

Orion's POV“For the umpteenth time Sophia, stop disrespecting my luna!” I yelled at Sophia as I stormed into her room and she was lazily painting her nails. She looked at me like I was rabid. “Who?” I gritted my teeth as she feigned ignorance. “How many times do we have to discuss this Sophia? Arizona deserves respect from you, she's the Luna of thi-”“She is? But you'd have to marry her to make her the luna don't you? I don't see a wedding ring on her hand or the rituals being done.” She replied smugly.“That's because you keep refusing to agree to it knowing fully well that I can't get married unless you're in support of it, don't you want to see me happy?” “More than anything else, that's what I want. I already gave my blessings to you, to me, you're already married. I don't understand why you'll think otherwise.”I growled, irritated by her smugness. “Imogene and I are divorced Sophia and it's been five years, move on!”“That's because you kicked her out on a rainy day and I've

Imogene's POV As much as the slap stung like hell, the pain radiated to my heart and I felt shattered.“Orion..” I muttered. There were gasps among the crowd.‘She deserved it.’‘Who knew she's such a petty thief?’‘How dare she? She's so shameless!’‘Poor Celine, her daughter-in-law is worthless.’‘She’s just like her mother.’“I didn't do it! I didn't steal it!” I yelled in frustration.“Then explain how it got to your room!” Orion retorted.I stammered, unable to say a word, it was as if my memories were hazy and blurry. “I swear that I'll never do such a thing.”Luna Celine snorted and grabbed the neckline of my dress. “Then how do you explain this?”“Mom, she might have been tempted by the diamonds, they're priceless and expensive.” Arizona inputted and I shot her a death glare.“My son should have never married you! Your mother must have taught you how to steal!” Luna Celine accused.“There's a rumor that she also slept with numerous men and ended up haggard, giving birth to a
