Chapter 2

Leviana's POV

It's 6 : 00 a.m on my clock and I know that I've woken up a bit too early my alarm usually sets off at 6 : 30 a.m and the only thing I can blame is my nightmare. I first had this nightmare when I was four according to my grandma but it became more frequent when I was nine. I thought that I got over the nightmare because I remember the last time I had it was when I was fifteen but it decided to haunt me again on my seventeenth birthday. Wait a minute I'm telling you guys too much about my problems, let me start preparing for school.

As I step in front of the mirror and observe my golden tangled hair I begin to dress my hair in order to straighten it , my gaze later shifted to my green eyes and thoughts started to come into my head, thoughts that I only want to look like my father and nothing like my mother, fear of acting like my mother in the nearest future. With all these thoughts still playing in my mind they are interrupted by the sharp echoes of the nightmare that I had, I force myself to my wardrobe and face the most challenging thing as a person that is choosing the right clothes to wear, I looked at the boots I wear to the brightly colored gowns I wear to the leather jacket that is hanging and decided that today I'm wearing my black boots with black leather jacket a white shirt inside on top of my leggings and of course I wore my green pendant I can't go through a day without wearing it. This day has just begun and I can already sense it that it won't be normal.

As much as I wanted to tell granny that the nightmare is back I told myself why bother her with my troubles, I remember the last time when I was fifteen she hardly slept at night just to make sure that I won't have any nightmare. I love my granny way too much she deserves so much better but she got me instead. So I find myself going to school hopefully this day won't turn out the way I am expecting it to be.

" You are in school a bit early".

Am I just dreaming or my seatmate named Maddie just talked to me, maybe it's a completely new nightmare I am having to make daily conversations with humans, surprise it isn't so I have to continue the conversation.

" Uhm, I don't get what do you mean?".

" I always come to school early". I said forcing out a smile.

Maddie gave a warm smile with her brown eyes lightening up as she adjusts her seat her brown wavy hair starts bouncing over her shoulders her white skin complexion matching with her pink gown that she wore today .

" Don't get me wrong, I know you come to school early but this isn't the time you usually come to school". Maddie said .

" Okay, I get what you're saying".

I wanted the conversation to end there and be left in my own little world lost in my thoughts and then I remembered that I lied to my granny about this seatmate of mine that has a very bright personality and is more like the highschool sweetheart of my class is my friend so I have to continue the conversation but that's my major flaw I don't know how to speak to humans it's too stressful. I know I am human , at least I think I am human but it's just too stressful to make a meaningful conversation.

" I love your pendant".

" Who gave it to you?".

Luckily for me Maddie is a chatterbox so she just made another conversation.

" Thanks I actually got this gift from my dad".

" Woah your dad has a good taste for jewelry because it matches with your eyes, I am sure your mom must still be jealous about it".

Not me trying to force out another smile and said

" Thanks "

" Hey Maddie".

Before you know it the stupid son of Adam named Jack finds himself in front of our seat, on our first encounter I didn't take my time to analyze his physical structure until know because as he leaned on my desk I noticed his broad chest and muscled arms, he is white skinned,his brown hair styled into messy quiff, with his pointed nose perfectly in line with his face, his brown eyes trying to make eye contact with mine and then his pink lips curling up to a smile.

" We are matching" . He said looking at me

And then I realizes that he was wearing a white sleeveless hoodie with a gold chain around his neck and his black jeans that is torn at the knee.

All I can say in my head was just great.

" What is it Jack , go away". Maddie said annoyed.

" No , I won't".

" I can't help but notice the lovely smile of your seatmate". Jack said looking at my direction and smiling at me again.

" Well in case your forgetting her name is..."

" Leviathan, I know ". Jack said interrupting Maddie

" That's not my name".

" I am sorry, I mean Leviathan Mason Addams ".

" That's not her name Jack".

" My name is Leviana ". I said smiling so that the useless teasing could end.

" I know that's your name , I just wanted to hear it from you". Jack said leaning forward with his sly smile, the only thing I can do was to vomit on the inside, why on earth is this boy so keen in disturbing my life.

" By the way you should learn how to smile more it suits you ". Jack said

Before he could say anything else a dark guy who also had huge muscles and a broad chest named Brett called him. He is Jack's closest friend and Maddie's assumed boyfriend according to rumors.

" Hey Jack the coach is asking where you are , come to the basketball court quickly". Brett's words just rescued me from the torture that Jack was giving to me.

" I am on my way",

" I'll see you around ". Jack said giving another smile and his voice a bit deeper than usual. After he left the only thing I could do was to roll my eyes in disgust.

And then I remembered that we were not sitting down in an empty classroom with only the brown wooden desks but actual people that were staring at us throughout that period. Once again this is why I hate places called school and in this school the walls were brightly colored with white and blue paint and the floor was perfectly tiled with marbles.

" He is so annoying ". Maddie said slamming her book in anger.

" I know right and he thinks he's so charming with his smile ". I said.

" Finally someone that can see his rotten side in this school like me ". I laughed at what Maddie said .

" I am surprised that his siblings are still letting him breathe if he has any, because if he was my brother I would have poisoned his meal". I said .

" Well unfortunately he's my twin brother and I am not allowed to kill him".

" Wait he's your twin?". I said in completely shock.

" Yeah I just had to share the same birthday with him".

" Woah, I didn't know ".

" That's chill ". Maddie said with a smile.

" Besides we are friends so I am glad anytime my friends insult my twin brother.

I was shocked that she already considered me as her friend but either ways it's to my advantage so it means whatever I told my grandma is the truth.

The advantage of being Maddie's friend is that she is always busy, people always want to talk to her, she goes for singing practice that is being held at school by the music club and also tries to memorize the scripts that she gets from drama club. Unlike the brother he is more of like the jock of the class sometimes they even call him "Jack the jock" and he's mostly known for his perfect jawline and his deep but soft voice among the girls , I heard that he is good at playing the guitar and also has crazy drawing skills and of course he's also good at basketball but who cares about that, right now what I have to deal with is the fact that Maddie invited me to watch her brother play at the school's basketball tournament and I can't say no because I just became her friend 'aaarrgh', is it compulsory to have a friend. If I ever find the idiot that made the saying ' no man is an island ', I'll slap him a thousand times, because how can you explain my situation. Anyways can't wait for school to be over so that I can be left alone in the four walls of my room.

Jack's POV

" Guess who made a good conversation with Leviana", Maddie said with her long curly brown hair bouncing over her shoulders.

" Well , I guess she's just shy around me ".

" What a stupid excuse, she despises you just as much as I do".

After hearing what Maddie said I was shocked that a girl can despise me as much as my sister.

" Is it because I called her Leviathan?".

" You sound hurt ". Maddie said raising her eyebrows.

" I thought Jack James Andrew doesn't care of what a girl says about him".

" You're wrong, I am only asking because I thought I was being a bit mean when I called her Leviathan ".

" Don't worry about that she obviously knows that you are joking ".

" Asides from that because of you I am going to be best friends with Leviana ". Maddie said with her eyes lightened up.

This is like the first time in a long time that I saw Maddie so excited to talk about a friend because most of the times people only want to be friends with her because they want to talk to me or because of how popular she is, and I am happy that she has found somebody that she can call her friend.

" Really how so?", I asked sitting in the dining and playing with an apple.

" Well if you have the brain cells to remember, you told me about her pendant and of how it matches with her green eyes".

" So you stole my words and used it to compliment her ". I said raising an eyebrow after interrupting her.

" Anyways" Maddie said ignoring my questionable face.

" She said she got it from her dad".

" That means she really misses her dad ".

" What do you mean? ". Maddie asked.

" Well your friend Leviana lost her dad when she was five ". Maddie that was also sitting in the dining later got up from her seat surprised and asked.

" How did you know about it?". I looked into the the hall staring at the white wall away from the black chairs in the dining with a matching beautiful black table and said.

" Her grandma was talking to the principal when I accidentally heard this vital information". Knowing fully well that Maddie would get angry at me I already started to strategize how I'll escape from her if she wants to attack me, thank God that our house is spacious enough so before she can reach to me I'll be half way up the stairs while she is left in the hall with the blue cushions and the black marbled floor.

" Accidentally?".

" Alright I believe you and I invited Leviana for the basketball tournament".

I didn't know why but after hearing what Maddie said I spun around and looked at her in utter shock and found myself smiling. This is Leviana we are talking about a girl that doesn't care about any event that happens in the school and she's going to watch me play but I quickly hid the smile before my twin notices it .

" What are you thinking about?". Maddie said crossing her arms and looking so small, maybe she looks small because she is five feet eight and I am six feet three.

" I am wondering if your friend finds it cute when I'm sweating after practicing in the basketball court". I said giving a mischievous smile.

" Urgh, Jack can't you be less disgusting not every girl thinks you're charming ".

" Levy does ".

" Gross, no she doesn't and you are not allowed to call her Levy". For some reason I always find it satisfying annoying my sister it's just the best feeling I can ever get.

" How do you know she doesn't find me charming ".

" Because that is what she said after you left ". Maddie said with a triumphant smile on her face, raising her left eyebrow in order for her point to be know and also establish dominance. I am in complete shock that a girl doesn't find me charming, Leviana is the first girl that doesn't find me charming which means the world is slowly coming to an end for a girl not to find me charming.

" So have you gotten her number?". I asked Maddie

" Jack don't ever think that I'll give you her number ".

" I'm just asking, it's not as if I wanted her number or anything ".
