Henry POV
She is back, and I find it hard and unnerving to believe. Her decanter-shaped waist and pencil-thin eyebrows eased down gently to her black beetle's leg eyelashes. A sculpture couldn't have fashioned her seraph's ears and pixie nose any better. She looked more stunningly beautiful than she could ever have been as I took a look at her face.
I could feel the fear and insecurity from her. Good! She should feel that way. She had to.
Earlier that week, when I received a call from my mother, Sally, I usually called her mother because she has been just like a mother to me. Earlier, when I received the call from her and listened to his complaints and pleas, I was inclined to say no, but for old times sake, I couldn't bring myself to decline such a simple request.
Sally was my father's best friend when he was still alive. Even before I was born, I knew Emalia , her only daughter and child, as I came of age. There was no doubt about my feelings for her; I loved Emalia with all my heart. I was ready to die for her, to... to... DAMN!. But those feelings stopped abruptly when I caught her in bed with Gavi, my younger brother. I was shattered and devastated. Nothing makes sense anymore, and I become a shell of myself, until finally my father's death.
On his sick bed, my dad has made me promise to marry Emalia .
"Make her your Luna, my son... I beg you.
I would be able to find peace after you do so " That has been my father's last words. His very last words, which later plunged me into darkness, I couldn't fulfill his last wish, so I turned away from my normal cheerful self and into someone I, myself, couldn't recognize that everyone had left me. Even my younger brother was so scared out of his wit that he ran away to an unknown place. Good for him to have fled, because I would have killed him right in his slumber if he hadn't. The people and place that give me joy are only the Moon Pack. I love my people,no doubt, and I will do anything to keep them safe.
It wasn't my fault, though, that I hated any other people out of my pack; she made me this way. Emalia turned me into a monster.
'I see you have altered everything in Moon Pack," I heard sally mutter beside me, dragging me back to reality. We have crossed the new buildings, gone away from the garden, and are now back in a comfy apartment. I turned to him and offered him a polite smile.
"Your room, mother , make yourself comfortable. I will inform the maids to care for you."
I turned away towards the exit, but Remon quickly spoke out.
"I'm sorry, son, for bringing back a sad memory. Would you be okay with her around?"
I blinked twice and smiled. I knew he was referring to Emalia , and I said,
"Yes, father, I will take my leave now.
" I walk out of the apartment and towards my office. I have things to do, especially now that Nefarious has indirectly made me his enemy. I took a turn towards the hall, and suddenly, I collided with Emalia . She bounced back and fell down awkwardly in shock and awe. Thanks to my solid chest.
"I'm... I'm sorry." She stuttered in fear. Her eyes were on the floor. I stood still for a while, staring at her face. Her shyness, her reluctancy, and her regret were all known to me. I took a step closer to her. My hand reached out and gently cradled her elbow, steering her back to her feet. I felt her shivering against my touch, and I felt her softening at the same time. She rose to her feet with my help. Her pale green eyes caught and held the faint light, turning them into lush, shimmering pools. The sounds of her breathing fanned the hatred burning deep in the pit of my gut.
"Thank man, you were my voice that made me smile years ago, but not now, not anymore. My grip on her suddenly tightened, and she winced in pain. I was careless, not when I was sure she was a shrewd betrayal.
"Aron! " I called out. Seconds later, we both received a heavy whooshing of air as Aron appeared behind me. "Take her back to her room."
I dropped her elbow and walked away to my office, where I lowered myself on one of the couches.
I buried my face in the hollow of my palm and sighed tiredly as fatigue overwhelmed me. I have been working nonstop ever since Dad died to make Moon Pack the best, and I have succeeded in that quest.
I stopped abruptly when I heard a soft knock on the door.
"Come in," I called out when my nose perceived the scent of earth. That was how everyone in the Moon Pack smelled, except me. My mate, Emalia , had told me I reek of blood and flowers. I never argued with her on that because my mom confirmed that as well. My beloved mom, who died the same day I discovered Emalia , is my mate. The bittersweet day of my life.
The door opens slowly, and two ladies walk in reluctantly. I understand their uneasiness.
To keep the pack safe, I never spare any of my people a smile. I have been very strict. Maybe I went overboard; I might, but after all, that strictness brings fear into the hearts of my enemies.
"Alpha Henry , we are here to inform you about something important," the first one in a white flowing dress told me. I became curious and anxious because of the expression on the other lady's face. She seems reluctant and somewhat scared.
I waited patiently, my gaze now on the one in Jean.
*Alpha Henry , I... Actually, I..." The lady began to gibber.
"Go straight to the point," I cut in coldly. My blue sea eyes on her pretty face. I noticed she shifted uncomfortably beneath her feet.
"Actually, there is this man I love from shallow pack; he, uh, promised to make me his wife, and I..."
"You want me to open the moon gate for you?" I interrupted again, and she nodded stiffly. " Alright... Pack your bags; I would inform some men to see you off."
Upon hearing this, the lady smiled at once. I know she would have hugged me if I hadn't been so rigid.
"Thank you so much, Alpha Henry . Thank you a lot," she said, smiling. "By the way, I am Rina, and my friend here is Olivia."
I stared softly at them before nodding. Gently open the door again, and Aron enters this time. The two girls bow slightly before walking out.
"Who are they?"
"They? "I repeated, "Rina and Olivia. Inform Mason to open the moon gate for them to go out.
"I will," Aron replied gently.
I stood up from the couch and towards the window, which was on the left side, with a sigh.
What do you think about Emalia presence in this pack at this moment? I asked Aron,Yes, my beta. I loved him, I respect him, and I care a lot about him. No doubt he feels the same way towards me, and I'm sure he would die for me if need be.
"Her presence means nothing as a threat... She will be fine, but I am worried about Paris."
I turned to stare at Aron oddly, and quickly he lowered his head in apology.
Paris is nothing to me.
"She is waiting for you in your room, alpha."
Really? I asked myself in thought. I walked up to Aron and reached for his shoulder.
"Nefarious is the one we have to deal with, not her."
"You know you can tell lies to anyone, but not me." Aron replied gently. "I know how you still feel about Emalia ."
I didn't say any more words because he was right. I needed a distraction, so I left Aron standing in my office and headed towards my room, where Paris was awaiting me.
I walk steadily towards my room where Paris was waiting for me. It has been a long tiring day for me, not that i usually got some rest though but the presence of Emalia in my home makes it all so tiring. The green eyes of hers filled with passion and sincere apology, her plumped red lips and her shyness makes me feel awkward somewhat. I shook my head to cast away Emalia 's thought from my head as I reached the door knob and turn it.I step into my Grandiose room with my features frozen.I wonder when last i have laughed heartily. Probably eight years ago when i still got many things to laugh upon.On my massive bed was Paris , the younger sister of Alpha Darien of Pride pack. She laid on the bed staring at me lustfully."I have been here the whole time, where have you been?" She asked in a slurry tone, i know she did that on purpose but i ignore it. I wouldn't know how to address the relationship between us if ever i was asked. She wasn't my girlfriend, not my friend and certainl

Ellie, the maid, led Caroline and me to a massive, comfy room. It has a sitting room of its own and two other rooms. One for me, and the other for Caroline."I will help you unpack, ma'am," I heard Ellie say, and I nodded in response. I left both of them alone in the doorway while I wandered around my new abode. I walked slowly into the living room and nodded in acknowledgement. Two comfortable brown sofas and a centre table were set in the living room. It was very beautiful, and I would have been very happy about it, assuming I wasn't in deep sorrow. I made my way to the window to peer out. I could look across the garden to the back of the house from where I stood. There, my gaze caught two ladies glaring at each other; they seemed to be having a conversation. One wore a flowing white dress, while the other wore faded jeans and a white top.I wasn't the type to eavesdrop on any conversation, but my curiosity wouldn't leave me be, so I applied my acute hearing to overhear the ladies'
Emalia 's POV:The weight of betrayal hung heavy in the air as we made our way towards the Moon Pack, the tension in the car almost palpable. It had been a harrowing week, filled with fear and uncertainty, ever since the revelation that my own father, Alpha Remon, had sold me to Alpha Nefarious of the Dark Pack. The shock of his betrayal still reverberated through me, leaving me reeling with disbelief and anger.Candis Pack, my once-beloved home, now felt like a prison, its walls closing in on me with each passing moment. My father's weakness and desperation had led him to make a deal with the devil himself, sacrificing his own daughter for the promise of power and protection. It was a betrayal that cut me to the core, leaving me feeling abandoned and alone. But my mother, ever resourceful and cunning, had not stood idly by. She had secretly arranged for me to be sent to the Moon Pack, where I would find sanctuary and protection from Nefarious's cruel clutches. It was a desperate gamb
