Nightmare

This is the most beautiful lake I’ve ever seen, and it doesn’t even come close to your beauty. Sleep tight my love. I will be home soon.

I felt tears stinging my eyes. Parker was so sweet. I looked at the picture that he sent me and I was in awe at how stunning the lake was. The moon lit up the lake, showing the expansive landscape around it. Even in the night, you could see the beautiful blue hue of the water. Maybe one day, we will be able to see it together.

Tonight will be the first night I’ve spent away from Parker in a long time. In the beginning of our relationship, he did a lot of night shifts to earn his place with the warriors. Since I’ve been pregnant though, he’s spent every night with me, refusing to allow me to sleep alone.

I stared at the picture that he sent me, imagining how much more beautiful it must look in person.
