Chapter 7

It's been a week since I last spoke to Helen, and every time I tried to talk to her, she would ignore me. I even went to her place, but she wouldn't let me in.

I don't know what else to do, so I decided to just let her be.

However, I've been meeting with an elderly woman in the pack who knows a lot about healing gifts.

She's been teaching me how to control my gifts, and she said that I'll be able to do it if I train my mind well.

So that's what I've been doing for the past few days because Sebastian has agreed to tell the elders about me today and he wants me to be fully prepared.

I've been preparing myself mentally for what's to come. I don't know what to expect from the elders or the pack, but I'm hoping they'll accept me.

I was getting ready to go and meet Sebastian's parents, which was a surprise to me since I'd never heard of them before.

Sebastian said they had moved away from the pack house after his dad gave him the position of Alpha.

So here I was, trying to zip up my dress. I was wearing a full-length purple gown, with a silver necklace, silver slippers, and a small bag.

I heard a knock on my door and Sebastian entered.

He looked me up and down with a smile on his face, and said "Baby girl, you look gorgeous".

"Thank you, dear" I replied, my cheeks burning red. I told him he looked good too, and he said he had picked my choice. "Are you ready to go?" he asked.

I was anxious, asking him if they would like me if my dress was okay, and if my makeup was appropriate.

He reassured me, saying "You need to calm down, they've been wanting to meet you forever, so they will love you, baby girl".

He gave me a peck on my forehead and asked me not to worry.

We stepped out and a black car was waiting for us outside.

Sebastian opened the car door for me and I stepped in. I took a deep breath and said a silent prayer, hoping that everything would go well.

The house was a small bungalow, painted white and quite simple. As we entered, Sebastian held my sweaty hands, and I tried to calm myself down.

The smell of the house was homely and the atmosphere was so cool and amazing.

A woman rushed over to me and gave me a sweet hug.

"Mum, calm down and let her breathe," Sebastian said. "I'm sorry, dear, I'm just so happy to meet you," she said, releasing me from her embrace.

"My name is Ann Harrison, nice to meet you," she said.

"Thank you, Mrs Harrison," I replied with a smile. "Nonsense, you're my daughter, so Ann is fine," she said, and I nodded my head.

Sebastian's mum was a happy woman, and her smile was contagious. Sebastian gave me a look that said "I told you so," and I smiled.

I also met Sebastian's dad, Lucas, who had a powerful aura around him, which proved he was a strong Alpha.

We were all seated in the dining room, eating and making small talk.

Surprisingly, they didn't ask me anything about my family, but I knew Sebastian had told them I remembered nothing.

Ann shared different embarrassing memories of Sebastian when he was young, and I couldn't stop laughing. "Mum, enough with the story," Sebastian said, but she paid him no attention and continued.

Lucas laughed and said, "You know your mum won't stop until she's done." She told me how

Sebastian first shifted, which was at a very young age compared to others, and it was on his birthday, during a full moon.

His body temperature suddenly became hot and he started sweating, and Lucas already knew what was happening, but his mum didn't believe it because he was still young. Lucas calmed his temperature down and he shifted.

She said Sebastian was so happy to have his wolf that he went to tell his friends, but when he tried to shift, he couldn't because he was still weak, and his friends all laughed at him. I laughed at the cute young Sebastian.

I enjoyed my stay with the Harrisons and they treated me well.

We left their house, but we promised to come back and spend time with them again.

Sebastian dropped me off at the pack house and left for his office. I didn't want to move in with Sebastian until he announced me as his mate.

The next day, Sebastian introduced me to the elders of the pack, and the meeting didn't go well. There was a lot of shouting and arguing, and only a few people were in support of us.

It was strange that they were angry he found his mate, after all, that's what they wanted. I couldn't help but think they all had a hidden agenda they weren't saying.

However, a few elders were happy and in support of us, including the woman who taught me how to control my power and the old lady I met at the daycare.

I was surprised to meet them there because I didn't know they both held high value in the pack, but I was glad I had people who supported me.

It was finally time for me to meet the whole pack, so Sebastian bought me a white ball gown and a shiny pearl bag to wear.

I was so nervous since the elders were not in support. I don't know how the pack members would react to this news, but I knew I had to be strong.

I was patiently waiting for Sebastian to arrive so we could go to the hall together, I was pacing around my room.

Then, I heard a knock on the door and when I opened it, I was surprised to find someone other than Sebastian standing there.

It was the last person I expected to see!
