"About what Alpha Arnold said the other day, do not take it to heart, Alpha. He has always been known for his foul mouth. I still don't understand how you two became friends in the first place," Kavan tried to console me as we took a stroll around the mansion.

He had come to visit and drop off some files that I was supposed to work on, but I knew that it was only an excuse to see Iris.

"Arnold..." I began, my hands folded behind my back as I walked. "Arnold has never always been like that. He was a good friend who had always stood by me. I honestly don't know where and how it all went up in flames."

"It's his loss anyways. Don't beat yourself up about it. Besides, he would have to apologize to you during the next Alphas' conferences." Beta Kavan primped, but I didn't utter a single word. To be honest, I didn't care if he apologized or not. I already had a lot going on for me and this wasn't exactly one of them.
