30. The valley of death

The limo was prepared on the orders of the godfather and some minutes later the guard returned to inform him.

“Let's go.” the godfather said, already out of his chair. He walked out of the door, followed by Giovanni. They walked over to the staircase and he started climbing down, making Giovanni think why a man with one good leg will choose to walk down a set of stairs inconveniently rather than use the lift.

They walked down the stairs in two minutes arriving at the long passage downstairs. The passage had many doors that led to different rooms in the building.

“This way” Lucas Toto, the godfather called, walking towards a door at the end of the passage. He placed his fingerprint on the scanner and it beeped, opening up. They walked out through the door, walking directly to the garage where the cars were parked.
