FAZER LOGINAfter the tragic death of her parents when she was ten, Lolly Roberts is left at the mercy of her cruel, ambitious stepmother and conniving stepsisters who abuse her relentlessly. From a young age, she begins to cultivate a plan to escape home: she’d marry her long-term boyfriend on her eighteenth birthday so they'd run away together to Europe. But when she discovers her boyfriend cheating on her with her stepsisters on her wedding day, Lolly realizes she’ll always be a slave to her step-family. Brokenhearted and defeated, she goes on a long binge drinking and loses her virginity with the first mysterious stranger she finds. One year later, that stranger has become one of the most powerful men in town. Roman Stone is a devil in Armani suits. Savage and merciless, he has built his empire on the backs of his enemies and he does not intend to stop. For a man who loves to be in control, love is a messy business and a useless venture he has no need for. He has only one weakness: He suffers a neurological condition – prosopagnosia – that makes it impossible for him to remember faces after twenty-four hours. Until he meets Lolly. He can’t stop thinking about her and the night they spent together. Dangerously obsessive, he will not let go until he owns her completely. Lolly wants revenge against her step-family and Roman is the only one who can give her what she wants. Under one condition: she must remain his property!

“Final call, people! If your significant other does not show up in the next five minutes, I’m sorry but that’s it. Curtains closed on getting married today! You are gonna have to try another day!” the white-haired clerk at the city hall yelled out. I shrank with embarrassment. I was the only one sitting out there alone with my bouquet on my laps, tapping my feet impatiently, waiting for my fiancé. He’ll show, I kept telling myself over and over. Michael would never do this to me. Michael would never abandon me here. Not after years of planning and waiting for me to finally turn eighteen. Today was the D-day. Today was everything we had hoped and planned for so I could escape the clutches of my stepfamily. He promised! Michael swore he’d save me. He would never do this to me. I cast a worried look toward the entrance. Five more minutes. Any time now, he’d burst through those doors. But when the clock chimed five minutes later and he didn’t show up, I knew something had gone horribly wrong. The clerk walked up to me. “Sorry, dear, we are done for the day. You’re not getting married today!” she said in a kind, sympathetic voice. My heart broke. This can’t be. Something must’ve happened. I fumbled through my bag, found my phone and dialed Michael’s number again. It rang nonstop. No reply. Stay calm, I told myself. There had to be an explanation for his absence here. Did he change his mind? No way! Michael loved me. We’d been together for three years now. He was the only person who understood me. He was the love of my life. My first love. We had plans for the rest of our life. He wouldn’t just abandon them! I was getting worried. He could’ve been in an accident or possibly killed. Panic set in. The love of my life could be in trouble and I was sitting here upset. I had to give him the benefit of the doubts. He could be in serious trouble. I had to find him. I ran out of the city hall, hopped into my beat-up Honda and drove as fast as I could to Michael’s place. I looked like a crazy girl in my wedding gown running up the stairs. But I was so sure Michael needed my help. I was so sure of it. There was still time to save our plans. We could still get married tomorrow just as long as Michael’s okay. Please be okay, please be okay, please be okay. His door was unlocked when I reached his apartment. That’s weird. I pushed it open, stepping into the small entrance hallway. I nearly tripped over a red heel lying on the floor. I picked it up, confused. I didn’t recognize the heel. It was an expensive Dior shoe, the kind I could never afford. My ears started to ring. My breath caught in my chest. Suddenly, I couldn’t think clearly or breathe normally. My mind started thinking of the worst. But it can’t be, right? Michael would never cheat on me! Not in a million years. Not today of all days! I tiptoed slowly into the apartment. As I walked, I found more items discarded on the floor: another pair of shoes, some lace panties, shorts. I picked up each piece with a cracking heart, making my way toward the bedroom. I heard the moans before I even reached the bedroom door. This must be a nightmare. It can’t be real. I cracked the door open a little, revealing my worst nightmare. There he was – my boyfriend naked in bed fucking a strange woman. No, wait, two women. The second woman pulled up from the bed, hair falling over her shoulders. I froze when I saw her. I would recognize that hair anytime. No, no, no, it can’t be. She had her back turned to me but something deep inside me confirmed it. My stepsister, Mindy. And Mindy never went anywhere or did anything without her twin sister, Cindy which meant the other woman lying underneath Michael was also my stepsister, Cindy. Mindy and Cindy, my two nemeses, are fucking my fiancé right now! It felt unreal. At first, I couldn’t move. I willed my legs to run away, but my entire body was frozen. I stood there, frozen watching my stepsisters straddle my fiancé. I didn’t believe my eyes. I didn’t believe it was Michael in bed fucking my stepsisters. The same stepsisters he had listened to me rant about all these years. The same ones who made my life a living hell since their mother married my late father. The same ones I’d been trying to run away from. The same ones he swore to protect me. “You are so fucking tight,” Michael moaned like a drunk, high on pussy. I couldn’t believe my ears. We took an abstinence vow. In the three years we’d been together, we had not slept together. Not once. Tears sprang into my eyes. The betrayal cut deep. I can’t believe he fooled me like this. I started to move. I wanted to get out of there without alerting them, but my back hit the door drawing their attention. Mindy saw me first. “Ah, there you are. The lucky bride,” Mindy said in that annoying voice she used when she mocked me. Michael sprang up from Cindy, all smiles. “Lolly, took you long enough!” Cindy came up naked from under him. They straddled my fiancé between them, touching him possessively, caressing his chest. “What does it look like? She’s here for her fiancé. Aww, isn’t that lovely?” Cindy said. They burst into a mocking laughter. “Is that your wedding dress? How ugly!” Mindy asked. “Ugly dress for an ugly bride,” Cindy chimed in. Their laughter reverberated around the room, cutting me deep. There was no remorse in their voices. I kept my eyes on Michael. I tried to speak. I tried to say anything, but the words wouldn’t come out. “Don’t worry, you can still have him back. We were just testing him for you. I gotta say…he’s an A-plus in bed,” Cindy said amusedly. She kissed Michael. He leaned into the kiss, deepening it, stroking her naked breasts. Right in front of me. “Michael,” I whispered in a cracked voice. Without even looking up, he waved a hand dismissively in the air. “Go away, Lolly, we are a little busy right now!” “Michael, how could you do this to me?” I asked. Cindy laughed. “Wait a second, did you really think that Michael is in love with you? Did you think he’d marry you and you’d sail away into paradise? Oh my God, you stupid bitch!” Mindy cackled. “I told you she’d fall for it. She’s such a dumb bitch.” Fall for what? Cindy stood up and stalked over to me. Her lithe body swaying from hip-to-hip. “Do I have to spell it out for you? Michael here is an actor. His name is not even Michael. Three years ago, we hired him to play the funniest role of his life. We hired him to play your fiancé.” My heart dropped. No, it can’t be. All of it was a lie? My plans? My hopes? It all came crashing down to my feet. I glanced at Michael. My eyes begged him to talk to me. “You’re lying. We connected.” “Aww, did you think you finally found a hot guy? I can’t believe how dumb you are. You really think a hot guy like Michael is going to fall in love with you? Wow, I almost admire your confidence. Michael isn’t even his real name,” Mindy added. I met Michael’s eyes. He was grinning wickedly. They were enjoying this. Humiliating me, taunting me, embarrassing me are the only things my sisters enjoyed more than shopping. They set a trap for me and I fell right into it like a dummy. “Look at her, poor Lolly, all dressed up for her wedding day. I almost feel bad for how easy this was!” Cindy added. They burst out laughing. I cried as they laughed. My whole world had come apart. As the laughter died down, Cindy shoved me with one finger. “NO. MAN. WILL. EVER. LOVE. YOU!” she said.Lolly’s POVI nearly gasped when I stepped into the hall. The beautiful interior design, lighting, the enchanting music, the guests all dressed flamboyantly made me feel like I’d just stepped into heaven. I was breathless at the beauty of it all, and thankful to Rue for forcing me here. This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Some of the guests were dancing. I moved through the crowd, keeping a low profile. Even though everyone wore a mask, I was still afraid I’d run into my stepfamily. “Who do you think is Mr. Stone?” I heard some ladies behind me muster. “Do you think that’s him?” another pointed out a broad-chested man on the dance floor. “No, he is not…charming enough. I don’t think Mr. Stone’s at his own party?” Ah, I thought, the elusive Mr. Stone continues to be elusive? I meandered through the crowd, taking note of everything. Mr. Stone’s mansion was bigger than everything I’d ever seen. The walls were covered with expensive art. I stalked the lined frames slowly, fa
Lolly’s POV~ONE YEAR LATER~“I can’t believe we were invited to the party of the decade!” Cindy cooed excitedly. She turned over the exclusive invitation. I saw the invitation clearly from my position on the ladder where I stood dusting the chandelier. It was gold-embossed. The name ROMAN STONE jumped out to me. “I’m more surprised he finally opened up that home of his to the public,” my stepmother, Lizzy, said. Lizzy sat on the couch, watching her daughters tussle over the card. “Give it here!” Mindy said, snatching it from Cindy. “I’m not done with it!” Cindy retorted. They fought over it, their bodies hitting the ladder in the middle of the living room, and almost throwing me off. I held onto the shaking ladder as firmly as I could so I wouldn’t fall. My cleaning towel fell to the floor. I climbed down the ladder slowly, avoiding my sisters to pick it up. “Urgh, you are still here? How long does it take to actually clean a simple chandelier?” Lizzy snapped at me. My stepsist
Lolly’s POV I clutched the card firmly as the elevator took me up to the penthouse. My heartbeat was irregular. My legs were nearly shaking. What the fuck am I doing? I’m not usually the kind of girl who accepts invitation from a total stranger. Granted he was a hunk I’d like to mount, but this was not me! I don’t spend nights with strangers. I was still a virgin for God’s sake. This was not the way I planned to lose my virginity. I’d blame the alcohol if I was totally wasted, but I was not. Maybe a little tipsy, but my head was clear as I rode the elevator. This recklessness must be a side effect of my breakup. Who am I keeping myself for anyway? I was finally free. I deserved a wild night after the disaster today. The elevator finally stopped and pinged. The doors opened into a long hallway. A white door stood at the end of the hallway. I walked unsteadily. I had one last chance to back away from this. I willed my legs to turn around and walk away, but they continued lead
Lolly’s POV “Honey, you don’t look so good,” the bartender said. The music in the bar banged against my ear drums. Still, it wouldn’t erase Cindy’s voice in my head repeating those words: “NO MAN WILL EVER LOVE YOU!” I was still trying to wrap my head around what happened. It still felt like a nightmare. It was all a prank? I wasted the last three years of my life on a cruel prank orchestrated by my evil stepsisters? How could they do this to me? What did I do to deserve this? “Here, honey, you need it!” the bartender said, sliding a shot glass filled with alcohol my way. I was not a big drinker, but things have changed. It was the music and the promise of alcohol that caught my attention when I saw this bar while wandering aimlessly around the city. I wanted to forget my sorrows for a second. I downed the shot now, flinching as the fire slid down my body. I burned my tongue, the back of my throat before moving down to my belly. I shook my head. The alcohol loosened my to
