CHAPTER 22: THE CHASE HAS BEGUN

Olivia looked around, unable to believe how just a moment ago she was standing in an alley. And in the next moment, it was as if she was transported to an entirely different world. In stark contrast to the silence of the alley, loud music blared in the club as people milled around, enjoying themselves in the decadent hall. Strobe lights flashed through the entire area and her eyes fell on the dance floor where people, single as well as couples, swayed around merrily. Working as a waitress in a nightclub for years, this scenario was as familiar to her as breathing. But for the first time, she was there as a customer and not a waitress who has to smile and deal with clumsy drunken men and their leers.
