Oddly enough, despite the close proximity of this rampaging wolf, I still felt like this wouldn’t be the day that I would lose my life. There’s something about me that assures my own safety, and the only thing that I had to do was be patient. That person’s presence was getting closer with each passing second. He might be a savior or one of this wolf’s accomplices.

"Why’d you bring someone else with you?" I asked, in hopes that he was still sane enough to perceive my query.
