FAZER LOGINChapter two
Zaria’s POV
I walked into the lecture room with the lecturer.
“Settle down, class,” she said.
Her voice was firm, and immediately, everyone rushed back to their seats. Chairs scraped against the floor, and the noise slowly died down. I stood beside her, trying to stay calm, even though I could feel so many eyes on me.
I looked around the room.
That was when my eyes met Jean’s.
She was sitting near the window, her face lighting up when she saw me. I smiled at her, and she smiled back. That small moment made me feel a little better.
“At least I’m not completely alone,” I thought.
“This is the new student,” the Lecturer said, pointing at me. “She will be resuming today.”
She turned to face me.
“Introduce yourself to the class.”
I nodded and stepped forward a little.
“My name is Zaria,” I said. My voice was soft, but it didn’t shake. “I just transferred here.”
For a moment, the class was quiet.
Then a few students introduced themselves too, one after the other. Some smiled, some didn’t care.
That was when I noticed her.
Selena
She sat at the back with her group of friends. The moment our eyes met, her lips curved into a small, mocking smile.
She didn’t even try to hide her hatred, I quickly looked away and scanned the class again.
“Go and have your seat,” she said and walked out of the class, the moment she left, the class became noisy again.
I walked toward Jean, suddenly, my foot hit something, and before I could react, my body jerked forward and I crashed hard to the floor. “Ah!” Pain shot through my face as it hit the cold tiles.
For a moment, everything went quiet, and then the laughter came—loud, sharp, and mocking, filling the entire classroom.
My face burned with embarrassment as I pushed myself up quickly. My hands stung, my heart pounded, and my fists tightened at my sides.
Slowly, I turned and saw Selena laughing the hardest, her head thrown back like this was the best thing she had ever seen. Her friends joined in, pointing and whispering, enjoying every second of it.
Anger rushed through me like fire. I stepped toward her, ready to shut her up, but the door slammed open. “Silence!” The Lecturer voice cut through the room instantly, and the laughter died down. I stopped, breathing hard.
“You just have to be careful,” Jean whispered softly beside me. I glanced at her, then back at Selena. “Trust me,” I whispered, my voice low and cold, “I will deal with them.”
The lesson began, but my focus had changed. The lecturer asked a question. I looked at Jean and could tell she knew the answer, but she stayed quiet. Then I looked at Selena. She was already preparing to stand. I raised my hand quickly.
“Yes, you,” the Lecturer said. I stood and answered clearly. “Good. That’s brilliant.” A small smile formed on my lips. Selena’s expression changed instantly.
The next class came, then another. Each time a question was asked, my hand went up first. I answered again and again, not giving Selena a single chance. By the third class, she was no longer smiling. Her face was tight with anger, her eyes fixed on me. And honestly, I enjoyed it. For once, I was the one in control.
Later, I went to the restroom and splashed cold water on my face. I stared at my reflection, trying to steady my breathing. “You’re fine,” I whispered.
When I returned, I stayed quiet until the final bell rang. The sound echoed through the room, and instantly everyone stood up, talking and laughing as they packed their bags. I stood up too, but something felt wrong. The noise shifted. I looked around and noticed everyone was staring at me.
Then the laughter started again. “She’s a fool,” someone said behind me. “How come she doesn’t know she’s on her period?”
My heart dropped. Slowly, I looked down and saw the red stain on my clothes. My stomach twisted. I didn’t even know. But already am done with the month flow.
My eyes lifted slowly and landed on Selena. This had her name written all over it. Anger burned through me as I started walking toward her. Then suddenly, I slipped again and fell flat on my face, harder than before. The classroom exploded with laughter.
Something inside me snapped. “How dare you!” I shouted, my voice shaking with rage. And then, out of nowhere, a white substance splashed onto my face. The laughter grew louder. For a second, I froze. Slowly, I touched my cheek, feeling something cold and sticky. I looked at my hand. White.
My mind struggled to process it, until I heard Selena laughing louder than anyone else. That was it. I lost control.
I stood up instantly and rushed toward her. Before she could move, I grabbed her and bit her hard. “Ahh! Let me go!” she screamed, struggling, but I didn’t stop.
I couldn’t stop. All the anger, all the humiliation, all the pain exploded out of me. I wiped the white mess from my face and smeared it across hers. “Take it!” I shouted.
Her friends rushed in to stop me, but that was their mistake. I grabbed one and pulled her down, hit another, and shoved a third. “You don’t want to know!” I yelled, my voice wild and out of control. Chairs fell, students screamed, and the classroom turned into chaos.
I didn’t stop until they were all on the floor. Silence slowly returned as I stood there, breathing hard, my hands shaking. I looked at them one last time, then turned and walked out. I didn’t care anymore. I just needed to leave.
I walked down the hallway, my heart still racing and my body trembling. Something inside me felt different—stronger, wilder, dangerous, like something had awakened inside me and wasn’t going back to sleep.
I took a deep breath and kept walking.
Then suddenly, I stepped on something again. And bumped into someone
Zaria POVI still couldn't stop thinking about Kai's kiss.No matter how hard I tried, the memory kept returning to my mind. The moment his lips touched mine, everything around me disappeared. For a few seconds, it felt like I was in another world. My heart had raced so fast that I could barely think. But now that I was alone, something felt wrong. My wolf had been weak for days. Ever since I arrived here, I could hardly feel her presence. It was like a wall stood between us. Yet after Kai kissed me, the weakness seemed to disappear. I could feel my wolf again. Not completely, but enough to notice the difference. Why?The question wouldn't leave my mind, had Kai done something? Was there something special about him?Or was there another reason I didn't know about?I sighed and got out of bed. Thinking about it wasn't helping. The more I searched for answers, the more confused I became.I walked toward the door. Staying inside this room all day was driving me crazy. I wanted fresh air.
Author POV. Kai rode back to the palace with heavy thoughts in his mind. The guards had finally found the woman they were looking for.She was sitting inside the carriage, quiet and tense. Her hands were folded tightly in her lap. She kept looking down like she was afraid of what was coming next.Kai sat across from her, watching her closely. He did not speak at first. He wanted to study her face, her reactions, her fear. The carriage wheels moved slowly over the stone road. The sound filled the silence between them. After a long time, Kai finally spoke.“You will tell me everything,” he said in a calm but firm voice. The woman nodded slowly, but she did not look at him.“I will,” she replied softly.Kai leaned back but did not relax. “Start from the beginning. Who are you to Zaria?”The woman’s hands shook slightly. She took a deep breath. “I am not her real mother,” she said.Kai’s eyes narrowed. He did not expect that answer, she quickly added, “But I raised her. I took care of he
Kai POVI carried Zaria in my arms and took her straight to my room. She was still weak, but that did not stop her from struggling against me. The moment I placed her gently on the bed, she tried to grab my hand and pull me back.I stepped away before she could hold me."Listen to me," I said in a calm voice. "If you keep acting stubborn, I will never let you leave this room. So stay still and rest."She glared at me with angry eyes. Even though she looked pale and tired, there was still fire inside her."How many days do you expect me to stay hidden in your house, I need to go to school and you know that?" she asked. Her voice sounded weak, but I could hear the frustration in it, I moved closer to her and gently lifted her chin so she would look at me, she looked so pretty that I could imagine "You are still injured," I said softly. "You need time to recover. I cannot let you leave while you are like this."Her brows tightened immediately she faced me like she was about to pickup a
Zaria’s POVMy head felt like it was splitting open.Everything was blurry when I first opened my eyes. White ceiling. Soft light. The smell of herbs and something clean… too clean. My body felt heavy when I tried to move, like something had drained every strength I had left. My fingers barely responded when I lifted them slightly."Where am I?" A small sound escaped my lips, that’s when I realized I wasn’t aloneMachines beeped softly beside me. A drip line was attached to my hand. It turned out to be hospital but doesn't looked like general hospital. I forced myself up again, slower this time. My vision cleared little by little. And that’s when I saw it.The room was large. Elegant. Nothing like the dirty places I was used to. White and gold details. Glass windows covered with heavy curtains. Guards standing outside the door like statues. My breath caught, when I noticed I was in the palace. "Why am I in the palace?." I asked no one in particular. The memory hit me slowly at first
Kai’s POVThe road stretched endlessly ahead as I drove, but I barely saw it.Everything in my mind was still stuck in the forest.Zaria in the back seat was unconscious, wrapped in my jacket. Her body barely moved, only faint breathing proving she was still alive. Too still… after everything she had just done.My grip on the steering wheel tightened as I replayed it again.Gold fur. Golden eyes. That pressure in the air that made even my wolf react.A Gold Lycan.I exhaled slowly, forcing my mind to stay controlled, but it didn’t help. My wolf was still restless inside me, reacting to her even now, as if it couldn’t separate her from what she had become. That alone annoyed me,I don’t like confusion. I don’t like unanswered things and Zaria was becoming nothing but that. The palace gates finally came into view.Guards rushed forward as I stopped the car, but I didn’t give them a chance to speak. I opened the back door and lifted her into my arms immediately. She was lighter than I exp
Selena POVThe car stopped in front of the palace gates with a soft sound. The night was already deep, and the cold air made everything feel quiet and tense. The guards quickly opened the door for me.I stepped out without looking at anyone. My face was hard, and my mood was worse. The drive back had done nothing to calm me. Instead, my thoughts were louder now. My mind kept going back to what I saw in the forest.Zaria, the Gold Lycan how was that even possible., that single thought kept repeating in my head.A guard followed behind me quickly.“Princess, you forgot your phone,” he said carefully.I stopped walking immediately, slowly, I turned back to him.My eyes were cold.Without saying a word, I raised my hand and slapped him hard across the face. The sound echoed in the quiet night, He staggered back in shock.“Don’t you know where to put it?” I said sharply. My voice was full of anger, he lowered his head quickly.“I’m sorry, Princess,” he said quietly.I snatched the phone from h
Zaria’s POV“Madam, are you awake?”The voice reached me like a distant echo in my half-conscious mind. My eyelids fluttered open, and I saw a lady standing right in front of me. She looked like someone who worked in a palace—her uniform neat, her movements careful, like she had been trained to ser
