Chapter 13 - Talking can be good sometimes.

Leah’s POV

Eli’s face turned brighter red than I had ever seen it before and I burst out laughing, which made him frown.

“That wasn’t funny, Leah.” He sighed and wiped his mouth.

“I thought it was.” I was still giggling a little when he stood up and held out his hand for me to take, but my two guards stepped forward in unison and his arm dropped back down to his side.

“How are we supposed to get to know each other with them hanging around the entire time?” He sat back down looking slightly defeated, which kind of gave me hope!

“Well, Eli, not everything revolves around pinning a woman down in bed.” He pretended to be disgusted at my comment, but I knew him better than that. “We talk. That is how we get to know each other, but I already know everything there is to know about you.” I sighed and was just about to get up when he reached over to grab my hand. A fierce arm gripped him in the process and he glared at the older woman who was glaring right back at him.
