Over the next couple of weeks, I drove around the region constantly, staying just a step ahead of Eli, but the same problem I had the first time around was slowly sticking its head out and I would soon have to stop running. I was fast heading in the direction of the first time I went through all of this, but my savings were running out and I still had no idea how I would approach Sebastian. If his mate was still alive, it would be of no use for me to walk in there and proclaim that somewhere in the future-past I was his mate. Until I could figure out a way to know for sure whether his mate was alive, I had to keep my distance.
