LOGINScarlett’s POV
“What do you mean by being a boy?” I asked, not ready to accept what she was suggesting. “No offense, but you've got pretty nice boobs.” Michelle complimented. “Oh, thank you. What's the offense?” “I can easily press it down with a piece of white bandage, and no one would know it's there.” Michelle said. “I hate you.” I beat her playfully, and she chuckled. She was right though. I do have pretty boobs, but they're also small. I also have a very flat backside, unlike Michelle who has loads of both front and back loads. The only thing I could brag about against anyone was my face card, and my intelligence , which eluded me several times. “So, if we press both down, and I start dressing like a boy, what would happen to my hair?” I asked, and she looked at it. “We'll cut the sides, and I'll make it into cornrows, so you'll look like a boy.” Michelle said. “A pretty boy.” “Fuck, this is a bad idea.” I sighed. “It is, but at least it'd work. The boys might be fighting to bend you over though, because you'd be so pretty.” She chuckled. “Okay, that's not helping.” I hissed, taking deep breaths. “My bad.” She said, going to her wardrobe. She got her clipper, and a set of things she'd use to make the cornrows. “What about my scent? Anyone would easily sense that I'm a girl once they smell me.” I said. “Oh my God. I didn't think of that. We're so fucked. The plan is going to fail.” She said in a very sarcastic manner. “What do we do now?” “Okay, just tell me what it is.” I rolled my eyes. “I have a witch ready to meet us outside the walls. She can do stuff like that for the right amount.” She said, and I chuckled. “I have enough money, I guess.” I shrugged. “Speaking about that, I'll need you to take all the money you have, and send it to me. I've gotten you another account.” Michelle said. “Your mother can easily trace the present one using your bank transactions to get your location.” “Fuck, you think so well.” I muttered, clicking the keys of my phone. She made the cornrows perfectly, and she was trimming my edges with her clipper when there was a knock on the door. Michelle walked to the door, and I could smell Chloe all over the place immediately she opened it. “What is it?” Michelle asked with her mean voice. “Please, is Scarlett in there?” Chloe asked. “Why?” “My mom's looking for her.” She said, and then took a deep sniff. “So, she's here.” My heart skipped a few beats. “Hello mum, She's…” Chloe said when Michelle yanked her phone off her hands, pulled her inside the room, and then knocked her out unconscious. “Sorry, but we have to move this shit faster.” She said, signalling for me to hurry. She finished up with my hair, and anytime Chloe was close to waking up, she'd knock her out again. It was fun to watch. Chloe's the snitch, and she's Matthew's daughter which makes it very understandable. “So, let's get out of here.” Michelle said, tying Chloe to the bed. We were about to leave when I heard the sound of several feet hitting against the floor, heading towards the room. “Shit. Soldiers are here.” Michelle growled, conforming my suspicions. “Hide,” Michelle whispered. She grabbed my wrist and pulled me toward the window. “But we’re on the second floor…” I whispered back at her. “Move!” We slipped into the shadows beside the window. The door handle rattled. I stopped breathing immediately. “Search every room!” someone shouted from the hall. Michelle pushed the window open just enough. Cold air rushed in to hide our scents. “Go,” she mouthed. I climbed out onto the narrow ledge, feeling my heart pound so loud. My fingers gripped the stone frame tight as the door to the room burst open behind me. I didn’t look back.Michelle slipped out beside me. She dropped down first, landing in the bushes below without a sound. “Come on,” she whispered up to me. I took a deep breath and jumped. The ground hit hard, knocking the air from my lungs. Michelle grabbed my arm, pulling me into the darkness behind the building. We rushed out through the side gate to the woods where we met a witch. I wasn't feeling so confident about my new supposed boyish look until she spoke. “Damn, who's this pretty boy?” The witch asked. “I think I want you to hit my wax tonight.” “Erm… I'm a girl, sorry.” I said, and the look of sheer disappointment on her face even made me feel better about it. I felt on top of this plan. “You want to mask your scent to that of a boy's?” She asked, and I gave an affirmative nod. “Well then, let's get to it.” The witch laid out a dark cloth on the forest floor. It was filled with tiny jars, dried herbs, bones, and little vials of glowing liquid that gave off a faint silver light. The only sounds were the gentle breeze and the crackle of the fire she lit in the center of her setup. “Sit,” the witch said, pointing to a smooth stone beside the fire. I obeyed, staying very calm. Michelle stood behind me, keeping her hand on my shoulder. “You're doing good,” she whispered. “Just breathe.” The witch knelt in front of me and opened a small jar of crushed herbs. She sprinkled them into the fire, and it let out a puff of blue smoke. I coughed, and the witch grinned. “This will sting,” she warned, holding up a glass dropper filled with a glowing blue liquid. She let a single drop fall onto my forehead. It burned. Not like fire, but like ice crawling through my skin, rushing through my veins, making my whole body tingle. I gasped and grabbed my chest, my skin shivering even though I wasn’t cold. The witch began to chant in a language I didn’t understand. Her voice was low and slow at first, then faster and louder. The smoke swirled around me, thick and blue, wrapping my body like a blanket. I started to feel different, lighter in fact. Not just outside, but inside too. My scent, the one wolves like my mother and the police wolves could smell from a mile away, was fading. I knew it. The fire flared one last time, then died down, leaving just embers. The smoke vanished. The witch opened her eyes and looked me up and down. “There,” she said. “You’re just a regular, pretty little boy now.” I looked at Michelle, and she gave me a thumbs-up. “It worked. I can’t smell you.” “I feel… weird,” I admitted. “But also… kind of strong.” “You should. That spell lasts as long as you want it to. Break it, and you’ll be you again.” “Thank you,” I told the witch, who was now rummaging through her things. “Pleasure doing business,” she said. “Oh, and don’t get caught. I don’t do refunds.” We laughed. Kind of. Michelle escorted me to the borders of Clawstone Academy, our twin academy just for boys. “The only thing I ask of you is to tell me the boy with the biggest rod, and also, don't text me until three days from now just for safety, and use the new number.” “Don't forget to give my mom the piece of paper.” I said. “How would I forget to do something that my whole body aches for?” Michelle said and we giggled. I hugged her before she could even stop talking because I was already missing her. I finally found the strength to walk into the school. It was late at night, but I was still able to do the registration. The registrar had no problem believing I was Seth. In no time, he was leading me to my room. Apparently, I'm sharing rooms with an Alpha In training. He was quite a big deal, and since Seth is also from a very rich family, he is a big deal too, which means I am. He opened the door, and someone turned back to look at us. My heart paused for a second as I saw the color of his eyes, and the magnificent beauty he possessed. He was tall and handsome. His blue eyes were already working on me, and I was already so into him. “This is your roommate, Thane.” The registrar said. “Hi, I'm Thane. Thane Smith.”LAST CHAPTER. SCARLETT'S POV It had been a month since I lost everything. Thirty long days and nights that felt like years. A month since everything that mattered to me was ripped out of my hands. My heart still felt empty, like someone had reached inside and plunged it out. I had lost my child. Our child. The only piece of hope I had been clinging to during all the chaos. I miscarried after the Battle of Castmere. One moment I was screaming Franklin’s name, watching him fall, and the next moment there was blood running down my legs. My own voice still echoed in my head, the panicked cry, the feeling of my hands shaking, trying to stop the bleeding while the world burned around me. I lost our baby, and I almost lost him too. Now I sit by the edge of the bed every day, staring out through the window. The sky moved on without me. People passed by below. Life outside the walls went on like nothing had happened. But inside me, it was quiet, dead, like a burned-out shell. Nothing had c
Scarlett's POV Tenebris approached me with so much calm, like he was trying to savour his prey before pouncing on me. Zion’s death shook me to the core. Although he got evil when I never expected, it didn't make him less of the man that I knew at the beginning. My knees immediately became weak, and I couldn't even try to escape. Escaping would be like the dumbest thing to do at this point, because there's nowhere for me to escape to. Drayton had been knocked out, and Tenebris was approaching with a smirk on his face. Michelle was screaming, shaking Zion and begging him to wake up. Tears flowed freely down my eyes as it all happened around me. There was nothing to be happy about. Too many people have died because of me. Too many people have died because the Demon King wants revenge for a death that happened thousands of years ago. I was not so deep in thoughts, until I realized that Tenebris was standing in front of me, hovering over me. “Hello, moon lady.” He said, smilin
Zion’s POV“Ah… I really never saw this coming.” Tenebris growled. “One of my kind betraying me?”“You banished me, remember?” I shot back at him, holding the spear like my life depended on it. I never really mastered the use of spears, but from the way he paced back, he must have a deep fear of this one, and it should be enough to keep him away. “You were banished. That makes sense.” He growled. “Now, leave my way with that thing, and I'll let you back into the fold, and increase your rank too.” “Sorry, but it's kinda late for that already.” I growled. “I want to spill your blood badly.” “You have a better chance of getting into the Demon realm without my approval than landing one slight hit on me.” He mocked me. “I guess we'll see then.” I smirked, holding the spear that I had gotten through sweat and blood. Extracting its ore was difficult, but the King of the East seemed very keen in helping. He eventually told me that the moon goddess had appeared to him in a dream, commandi
Drayton’s POV I held my sword tight as we charged at Tenebris who had now completely taken over Franklin's body. His eyes were nothing but black pits, his smile cruel, and the storm itself seemed to bow to him. Every step he took echoed loudly like it was not an open space with enough people around, and for the first time in years, I felt fear coil in my chest. The ten royal guards rushed forward first with their aswords drawn. Their faces showed no hesitation. They were the finest of my warriors, handpicked to guard the kingdom at the cost of their lives if needed.Tenebris didn’t even flinch. He stood with his sword low, almost lazily, waiting for them. It looked like he was about to have dessert before dinner. The first guard reached him with a fast and heavy strike. Tenebris tilted his head, almost bored, then lifted his sword in an effortless motion. The clash rang through the hall like thunder. A heartbeat later, Tenebris slid his sword across the guard’s chest. The man gaspe
Scarlett's POV I was staring at Franklin, but it didn't look like him. He looked like he had become nonexistent in a body that was supposedly his. He looked lost, tired, and angry. His eyeballs had gone totally black. There was not even a single white part. His cloth had turned white, and although he killed every single person outside the gates, there was not a stain of blood on his cloth. He had a vicious smirk on his face that made him scarier. The way he held his sword showed that he only had one intention; to kill. “What do you want?” I asked.“You of course, baby girl.” He said with a smirk that made my skin crawl with fear. The dragon turned to look at me, shaking his head.“Don't speak to him. Let's not allow any horrible energy.” He said, and I just shrugged. Michelle and Thane flanked me on both sides. Thane was the only one holding a sword. Michelle on the other hand held a gun, while I was defenseless. They were treating me like a child that didn't know his way. “Tene
Tenebris’ POV“Where's my horse?” I asked, feeling intense anger. I had enough time.“We have prepared one for you, but wouldn't you rather prefer a horse?” North asked , and I shrugged.“I asked for a horse, don't play on my intelligence by suggesting anything else.” I growled, and he hurriedly nodded. “I'll take you outside to where it is.” Timber said, walking past me. I turned my back, and I walked with him to where the horse was. I could feel heaviness around the place, but I wasn't so sure about it. I touched the horse, and its eyes turned black. I caressed its back, and that was when I was sure that there were people lurking around with intentions to harm me. “Come out of hiding now!” I snapped, and Timber moved back against the wall. About fifteen soldiers with void in their eyes stepped forward out of nowhere. I scoffed at the sight of them.“Something to test my skills with.” I scoffed, holding the sword as they came at me. The first one came at me, faster than any norm
