LOGINThane's POV
“Hi.” My new roommate chuckled weirdly. I yanked my hands off his incredibly soft palm, and I looked at him. He's what Rose would call a pretty boy. “I'm Seth.” “Okay Seth,” the registrar said, waking in. This was very dangerous as my girlfriend was hidden in the toilet, and if found could change everything for me. It would ruin me. “This is the room. That's your bed, the toilet is right about…” “How about I show him the place?” I asked, hoping that the registrar would just take it and leave it all alone at that. “I mean, wouldn't it just be easier?” “Oh, thank you so much, Thane. That's very kind of you.” He said. “Erm… I'll see you later, Seth. Come to me if you need anything.” “I will.” Seth said, and he almost sounded like he was squeaking I hurriedly closed the door as soon as he was out. “So, how do you get to…” Seth was saying when Rose came out of the toilet. “Baby, I'm so sorry.” I said as I pulled her to myself, hugged and kissed her. “That was very close.” Rose responded, grabbing the back of my shirt. “I need to get back. Susan texted me that there's trouble in Lunaris.” Rose said. “Will he keep quiet?” She was referring to Seth. “Yeah, he will.” I said, hoping that Seth wouldn't be too much of an asshole “And he'll excuse us whenever we want to have the room, right?” “Uhm… yeah.” Seth responded quickly. I escorted Rose out till I was sure that she had left safely. I walked back to the room in anger. I wanted the whole room to myself, and now I have to share? I've always been big on privacy, yet these ones are doing so well in making my life a miserable one. Seth was touching things when I walked into the room. “Okay, let's set a few ground rules. Bro to bro.” I said harshly, and he just folded his arms. “You look like you can't handle tough stuff, but I am tough stuff, and I really don't want you in my way.” “Why not just say whatever it is you want, and let's move on with our lives?” Seth asked, and I scoffed, trying to keep my head and mind in place. “First of all, you don't touch my things.” I said, and he shrugged. “Secondly, don't fucking try to make friends because I'm not interested.” “Thirdly, when you see a sock on the door knob, take a walk.” I snapped. “Is that all?” He asked, and I shrugged. “Well, do I get to give rules too?” He asked and I chuckled. “No, you d…” “Firstly, stop being an asshole.” Seth rolled his eyes better than any girl I've seen doing it. “Secondly, you're not that high on a pedestal. Rest.” Seth eased himself into bed after that. I've always hated being told to rest. “You know you shouldn't speak like that to me.” I growled at him. “I'll speak to you however I choose to.” Seth snapped back at me, making me scoff. He did it in such a calm way that made me feel very disrespected. “Oh, and I don't care about whatever you do in the room, but learn how to ask politely.” He said. “You can ask me to leave the room without being a disrespectful asshole.” I scoffed, shaking my head. “Don't make me do things I don't like doing.” “Like what?” He hissed. “Don't you dare try to hurt me. I won't hesitate to spill to the registrar.” I growled, seeing how that could put me at risk. “Good boy.” He smirked, easing into the bed. How can a guy have more sass than a lady? How did he learn how to roll his eyes like it was an innate ability? I just shrugged it off, and I continued working on the project I faked working on when the registrar knocked on the door. Being an Alpha in training was no easy job. It was tasking, and let's say sex became a relief. I might be getting addicted, but what does it matter? Wolves are always addicted to something. *** I got off my bed early the next morning whilst Seth was still asleep, I headed over to the gym, and as expected, Mr Harry, my clearance Alpha was also working out. “Ah, if it's not the model Alpha in training.” He said, and I chuckled dryly. “Good morning, Mr Harry.” I greeted, moving over to get ready for my session. “Morning Thane.” He said, lifting a five hundred kilograms weight. “Hope you're ready to turn in that paper today?” “Absolutely.” I said, although there was still a part I hadn't finished. I'd have finished it if I had just gotten the clarity I needed. I have to get rid of Seth from my room, and I need to do it really fast. “So, can I ask a favour of you, Mr Harry?” I asked, moving over to where he was seated. “A favour? This has to be the first time I'm hearing words like that leave your mouth.” “Oh, I might be a little desperate.” I said, chuckling weirdly. I hurriedly presented my dislike for having a roommate to him. I had lengthy discussions with him on getting rid of Seth, and he agreed to help me. He even gave me an extension on the submission of my paper. I had barely gotten through half of the day when Mr Harry texted to tell me how he can't do anything about it again. “Fuck!” I exclaimed. “What's weighing you down, Thane?” Lincoln, my best friend asked. I dumped my current situation on him, and he had a laugh about it. “Yo, this is nothing funny.” I hissed at him. “It's messing with my head.” “I never knew you loved Rose's wet slime that much to choose her over everyone else so easily.” Lincoln laughed. “That's not the problem here, damn it!” I snapped. “Relax.” Lincoln laughed again. “There are several ways to get this thing behind us, but you might not agree with most of them.” “List them to me.” I growled. “Beat him so much that he gets hospitalized. When he's out and comes back, we do it again till he requests to be out.” Lincoln suggested. “That's too brutal, and it'll have my name written all over it. It'll affect my ambitions, and I can't have that at this moment.” I growled. “Well, there is a much easier method that wouldn't require so much stress. He'd just disappear.” Lincoln said, and I might have gotten a little too interested. “Dump it on me.” I smirked. “Well, have you heard of the beast that rules the woods?” He asked. “The Harrid Beast?” “Isn't that a myth?” “It is, but it's not also. Everyone I've chased down there never comes back.” Lincoln said. “So, all we have to do is chase him there, and you're fine.” He added quickly. “You know what? I'll just think about these things.” I sighed. Seth is annoying me without doing anything, and even if it's a tiny pull of the thin threads of patience I have left, Lincoln might just have to do his psychopathic work.LAST CHAPTER. SCARLETT'S POV It had been a month since I lost everything. Thirty long days and nights that felt like years. A month since everything that mattered to me was ripped out of my hands. My heart still felt empty, like someone had reached inside and plunged it out. I had lost my child. Our child. The only piece of hope I had been clinging to during all the chaos. I miscarried after the Battle of Castmere. One moment I was screaming Franklin’s name, watching him fall, and the next moment there was blood running down my legs. My own voice still echoed in my head, the panicked cry, the feeling of my hands shaking, trying to stop the bleeding while the world burned around me. I lost our baby, and I almost lost him too. Now I sit by the edge of the bed every day, staring out through the window. The sky moved on without me. People passed by below. Life outside the walls went on like nothing had happened. But inside me, it was quiet, dead, like a burned-out shell. Nothing had c
Scarlett's POV Tenebris approached me with so much calm, like he was trying to savour his prey before pouncing on me. Zion’s death shook me to the core. Although he got evil when I never expected, it didn't make him less of the man that I knew at the beginning. My knees immediately became weak, and I couldn't even try to escape. Escaping would be like the dumbest thing to do at this point, because there's nowhere for me to escape to. Drayton had been knocked out, and Tenebris was approaching with a smirk on his face. Michelle was screaming, shaking Zion and begging him to wake up. Tears flowed freely down my eyes as it all happened around me. There was nothing to be happy about. Too many people have died because of me. Too many people have died because the Demon King wants revenge for a death that happened thousands of years ago. I was not so deep in thoughts, until I realized that Tenebris was standing in front of me, hovering over me. “Hello, moon lady.” He said, smilin
Zion’s POV“Ah… I really never saw this coming.” Tenebris growled. “One of my kind betraying me?”“You banished me, remember?” I shot back at him, holding the spear like my life depended on it. I never really mastered the use of spears, but from the way he paced back, he must have a deep fear of this one, and it should be enough to keep him away. “You were banished. That makes sense.” He growled. “Now, leave my way with that thing, and I'll let you back into the fold, and increase your rank too.” “Sorry, but it's kinda late for that already.” I growled. “I want to spill your blood badly.” “You have a better chance of getting into the Demon realm without my approval than landing one slight hit on me.” He mocked me. “I guess we'll see then.” I smirked, holding the spear that I had gotten through sweat and blood. Extracting its ore was difficult, but the King of the East seemed very keen in helping. He eventually told me that the moon goddess had appeared to him in a dream, commandi
Drayton’s POV I held my sword tight as we charged at Tenebris who had now completely taken over Franklin's body. His eyes were nothing but black pits, his smile cruel, and the storm itself seemed to bow to him. Every step he took echoed loudly like it was not an open space with enough people around, and for the first time in years, I felt fear coil in my chest. The ten royal guards rushed forward first with their aswords drawn. Their faces showed no hesitation. They were the finest of my warriors, handpicked to guard the kingdom at the cost of their lives if needed.Tenebris didn’t even flinch. He stood with his sword low, almost lazily, waiting for them. It looked like he was about to have dessert before dinner. The first guard reached him with a fast and heavy strike. Tenebris tilted his head, almost bored, then lifted his sword in an effortless motion. The clash rang through the hall like thunder. A heartbeat later, Tenebris slid his sword across the guard’s chest. The man gaspe
Scarlett's POV I was staring at Franklin, but it didn't look like him. He looked like he had become nonexistent in a body that was supposedly his. He looked lost, tired, and angry. His eyeballs had gone totally black. There was not even a single white part. His cloth had turned white, and although he killed every single person outside the gates, there was not a stain of blood on his cloth. He had a vicious smirk on his face that made him scarier. The way he held his sword showed that he only had one intention; to kill. “What do you want?” I asked.“You of course, baby girl.” He said with a smirk that made my skin crawl with fear. The dragon turned to look at me, shaking his head.“Don't speak to him. Let's not allow any horrible energy.” He said, and I just shrugged. Michelle and Thane flanked me on both sides. Thane was the only one holding a sword. Michelle on the other hand held a gun, while I was defenseless. They were treating me like a child that didn't know his way. “Tene
Tenebris’ POV“Where's my horse?” I asked, feeling intense anger. I had enough time.“We have prepared one for you, but wouldn't you rather prefer a horse?” North asked , and I shrugged.“I asked for a horse, don't play on my intelligence by suggesting anything else.” I growled, and he hurriedly nodded. “I'll take you outside to where it is.” Timber said, walking past me. I turned my back, and I walked with him to where the horse was. I could feel heaviness around the place, but I wasn't so sure about it. I touched the horse, and its eyes turned black. I caressed its back, and that was when I was sure that there were people lurking around with intentions to harm me. “Come out of hiding now!” I snapped, and Timber moved back against the wall. About fifteen soldiers with void in their eyes stepped forward out of nowhere. I scoffed at the sight of them.“Something to test my skills with.” I scoffed, holding the sword as they came at me. The first one came at me, faster than any norm
