Chapter 5

“Try the other one,” sister Jade said, then one of the maids got the blue off-shoulder gown, while the others removed the current dress and the 5th dress that I wore earlier. They made me wear the blue off-shoulder gown that sister Jade chose, then I tiredly sat on the couch. Someone knocked at the door and it revealed Lucas.

“Lucas, save me from this hell,” I said.

“Haha, older sister… please stop… we need to go somewhere and we have a lot of things to do today,” Lucas said.

“What do you think? Does she look so gorgeous in that gown?” sister Jade asked Lucas.

Lucas looked at me and I saw his ears became red, then smiled.

“She looks gorgeous,” he replied to his sister.

“Thank you?” I said.

“Why is that a question? You looked really gorgeous,” sister Jade said.

“I’m just not used to such compliments, hehe” I said while looking at the floor.

“Let’s go Clementine… Leo’s waiting for us,” Lucas said. I stood up, then went near him.

“Thank you for dressing me up,” I said to those maids, then I looked at sister Jade and bowed down.

Lucas and I left my room, then went straight to the centre of this palace.

“Leo!” I shouted, then Leo ran towards us and hugged me.

“I’m glad that you’re okay now,” he said before letting me go.

“Thank you for worrying about me and please… do not go on any missions until you’ve fully controlled your power,” I said.

“I will, master,” he replied.

“Let’s go?” Lucas asked, then we nodded. We held hands, then teleported in front of our guild’s inn.

We entered the inn and were welcomed with a fighting scene. I sighed, then pulled out Lucas’ sword, then I stopped the green haired man, which feels like royalty.

“What’s your business here? Your royal highness?” I asked.

“Prince Jude?” Lucas and Leo said.

“This impudent witch! Get off of me,” this green haired guy, which seems like Prince Jude, said.

“Who's a witch?!” I asked him while I’m controlling myself not to cut this man’s throat.

“If I were you, Jude… I will not make her angry… you wouldn’t like it if she'd be mad,” Leo said, while leaning on the wall and his arms are crossing over his chest.

“As if she can do anything to me… I’m a Prince and she’s just some commoner,” he said.

“Look into her eyes and say those words again,” Lucas said.

“Why should I?” Prince Jude said.

“Just do it or you will regret what happens next,” Lucas said as he sat in one of the chairs. Prince Jude flickered his tongue, then looked at me with his meeting eyebrows. When he finally looked into my eyes, he looked shocked.

“I give up… please pardon me,” he said which made my feelings from anger to confusion. I confusedly released him, then stood back up. I gave back Lucas’ sword.

“I am here to talk with the master of Marcia Information Guild, and I think I found who the master is,” Prince Jude said, while looking at me.

“I think that you might’ve mistaken, he is the master,” I replied as I pointed my index finger to Pi.

“It can’t be… depending on your magical power, you’re the strongest one here,” he replied.

“You can use him, Clementine… he’s much more powerful than he looked,” Lucas butted in.

“You complimented me, but kind of insulted me in the end,” Prince Jude said. I sighed, then looked at Prince Jude’s eyes.

Vide,” I enchanted, then I saw that his power was sealed. If it is sealed, then he really has a huge amount of power.

“Come closer,” I said. He may have looked confused, but he still went near me.

Sin sellar,” I enchanted again as I pushed his chest lightly. He coughed as he shouted in pain.

“Agh!~ Make it stop!” he shouted. I walked towards him, then stretched out my right hand.

“Take my hand and the pain will be gone,” I said. He looked at me, then with all his strength, he managed to hold my hand. He screamed for the last time, before the pain subsided.

He’s now sitting on the floor and catching his breath.

“What did you do?” he asked me.

Vide,” I enchanted again and I examined Prince Jude.

It seems like the enchantment awhile ago worked. The seal was broken and he could finally unleash his true power.

“Follow me,” I said, then we went straight to my office.

“What a nice greeting,” I said while looking at my table full of envelopes and papers that I think should be signed.

I am not a noblewoman, but my works are on the same page as those nobles. Why did I accept this position in the first place?

“Those are the reports and the requests from the noble families to our guild that need your approval… as for the letters,” Pi said, but I cut off his words.

“Those are from the Grand Duke?” I asked, then I went near my table. They all followed, then the three Prince’s casually sat on the couch.

“Yes, master,” Pi replied.

“I’ll finish everything today… and kindly prepare some refreshments for our dear newbie, and for us as well,” I told him.

“Right away, master,” Pi said before he left the office, then I started to read the reports, sign some papers and read the Grand Duke’s letters.

“So? What did you do to me?”Prince Jude asked.

“I removed the seal,”I casually replied without looking at them. I need to focus on these papers.

“What?!” they shouted. Yes, they. It means that the three Princes shouted at the same time.

“Don’t you know that my parents sealed my power because it’s too powerful to be controlled and if I lose control, there will be some casualties,” Prince Jude said.

“I know… I did the same thing to Lucas and Leo, but look… they are perfectly fine… well~ except for Leo… he’s still under my training guide to control his power,” I said.

“You did?” Leo and Lucas asked. I paused for a while, then looked at them.

“Yes, I did,” I replied, then went back to signing the papers.

“When?” Lucas asked.

“Since the day that I started to train and monitor Leo, with the help of Pi,” I replied.

“But why did we not feel anything?” Leo asked.

“Because the seal that was used for Prince Jude is Dark Magic,” I said.

“No one from our kingdom knows how to use dark magic… none of our magicians are dark mages,” Prince Jude said.

“You’re not sure about that,” I said.

“What do you mean?” Prince Jude asked, but I did not answer.

“Master!” Pi shouted as he barged in, then someone appeared behind me while pointing its dagger on my neck.

“It seems like you do not fear your master now,” I said as I emit my aura.

“Shadows… that’s the new master! You can’t arbitrarily point your weapon at her!” Pi said.

“I see, you’re the group that Pi released and gave to the Grand Duke… aren’t you the ones who promised not to hurt the master of this guild?” I said.

“We’re sorry!” the shadows said, as they kneeled behind me.

“Since you’re already here… give this letter to your master,” I said as I raised the letter.

“We will safely relay this letter, master, and please forgive us for our rude behaviour,” they said before vanishing.

“You’re going to meet the Grand Duke? Why?” Pi asked, then he let our colleagues enter so that they could put our refreshments on the table.

I waited for those people to get out before speaking and answering Pi’s question.

“Because I would like to know his purpose for not giving up on finding the real master of Marcia Information Guild,” I replied.

“And as you saw earlier, they tried to take me by force,” I continued as I got another pile of papers.

“But who will be your escort? You can’t go and meet the Grand Duke without any guards,” Pi said.

“Them,” I replied as I pointed my index finger at Prince Jude, Lucas and Leo.

“Us?” Prince Jude asked as he pointed his index finger towards himself.

“Yes… that will be your first task as a member of this guild… and you should not call us by our names,” I said, while looking at them, then drank my tea.

“Then what should I call you?” he asked.

“You should call her ‘Empress’ and as for me you should call me by the codename of ‘Dash’ while you should call Leo as ‘Frost’,” Lucas butted in.

“Such a thing to be a codename for a master… it seems like you’re not afraid of what the Westernian Empire’s Empress would say?” Prince Jude asked.

“Do you think that she doesn’t have the right to use that title?” Lucas asked Prince Jude.

“Not really, but it's better to be cautious rather than being confident that you won’t be harmed, right?” Prince Jude is right, but I don’t know, my guts told me not to refuse the title that my comrades are addressing me.

“Enough… Pi, show our newbie around and start the Basic training, and you two, stay for a bit,” I said.

“Yes, master,” Pi said, then he escorted Prince Jude out of my office.

“Who managed the guild when I was nowhere to be found?” I asked.

“Me, why?” Lucas asked.

“How’s the children in the orphanage and what happened to the Baron and Baroness of Blair?” I asked Lucas.

“Why do you want to know?” he asked too.

“Because it seems like the problem of the Grand Duke regarding the Blair Family has been either neglected now or that it was already taken care of,” I said.

“I killed the Baron for what he had done to you, and as for the Baroness, she was still at the underground prison of the Grand Duke,” he confidently answered. Unbelievable!

“What happened to the children?” I asked again.

“They are under the custody of the Grand Duke’s cousin, Marchioness Cleve,” Lucas replied. I stayed quiet for a second, then rang the bell that’s on my table, then started to write a letter.

“You called for me, master?” Pi asked as he entered the office.

“Where’s Prince Jude?” I asked.

“I don’t know my lady… when I told him to train, he vanished in thin air,” Pi said.

“Forget about him… hand this to Marchioness of Cleve,” I said as I handed him a small envelope.

“The Marchioness?” Pi asked.

“Just give her that letter and expect her arrival tomorrow,” I said. He’s still confused, but he followed my order in the end.

“Now, it’s time to punish that newbie,” I said as I stood up, then left the office, while Leo and Lucas followed behind.

“This will be fun,” I heard Lucas whisper while he’s smirking. On the other hand, Leo just shakes his head in disbelief for his friend’s statement.
