“Alf, could you give me a pencil and a piece of paper?” Siena asked.
“What for?”
“You asked me to break the code. I need to make some scribbles first.”
Alfonso searched his pocket. There was only a sheet of receipt. “I only have this. If you want to, I can get it from the nursing station outside. And I don’t have pencil, only a pen.”
Siena arched a brow. “But I need a pencil and a blank sheet of paper….”
“Okay, I’ll get it for you.” He walked out of the room at once. Less than one minute, he returned with the things she requested. “Here you go.”
“Thanks, Alf….”
Siena bit her bottom lip to keep her from smiling. She wondered why Alfonso would listen to her request. He used to be the one giving instruction

“It’s beautiful,” was Siena’s first remark when she stood in front of Sakura Hotel. She had flown almost seventeen hours from Los Angeles and didn’t sleep well in the plane, feeling jet-lag. Somehow all her tiredness just disappeared when she saw the hotel built by Adalfo in her birthplace, even named after her own mother. It was a traditional Japanese style building with round windows, and the materials dominated by woods. The building didn’t stand tall, but stretched wide. It was absolutely not a modern hotel as she thought at first, but more like a guesthouse looking comfortable and peaceful. Moreover it was located not in a crowded place, but in a beautiful village near Mount Fuji. “Konnichiwa…. Welcome to Sakura Hotel!” a young girl wearing brown kimono greeted them respectfully from behind the reception desk. She was a local girl from her look, but she spoke English quite well.

Alfonso could not hide his surprise upon hearing Siena’s confession. Back then, when he was trying to find Siena’s mistake to threaten her, he had searched information about her family and her past.
