Charlotte's words shattered my heart into pieces and left me devastated.

A part of me felt she was just speaking out of anger, but another part felt she was telling the truth.

I thought of the right words to say to her, but the minute I opened my mouth, I just couldn’t speak.

“I need to go get some fresh air,” I simply said, walking towards the door.
