6. What Do You Mean?

Adrian snickered at Nadine's question. He suddenly closes the door in front of Nadine. But Nadine blocked the door with her legs. Nadine winced a little because the door hit her leg.

"Ouch!"

Adrian instantly released his door and Nadine took the opportunity to barge in and left Adrian speechless with her action.

"Can you please not disturb me!"

Nadine ignored his shout and just went to his house. That house looks so small compared to her house, but it feels so warm inside there. She remembered in her past life he brought her to that house once. And that's because she forced him to do that.

Wanting to get close to her husband's aunt and bonding with his other family members, she forced him to take her to his parent's home. But that didn't go as she had planned. Because, like this time, there is her love rival, Olivia. Both of them, sitting at that house, have a good chat with Adrian's aunt.

And suddenly Nadine just went mad, jealousy took over her, instead of the good attitude that came from her, her evil and arrogant side that she was showing to them.

Honestly, she really liked that cozy house but she was mocking that tiny house. She was told that it just looked like her bedroom size. And she left an angry Adrian in Olivia's care.

"Your house looks so cozy!"

She is going around his house without Adrian's permission. When she wanted to enter his living room, Adrian suddenly blocked her from entering his house.

"You're not welcome here!"

Nadine gave him a small smile.

"Oh... Don't worry, we can talk here. If you agree with my offering, we can finish at any minute."

Adrian really doesn't wanna have a good talk with her.

"We had a deal at your office a moment ago. So we don't have anything to discuss anymore and just wait for tomorrow's wedding."

Nadine still insists on talking with him no matter what.

"Just listen to my deal...."

Adrian stood still at his entrance and refused her. Nadine feels a little annoyed with his stubbornness and doesn't have any option to say that word.

"Okay, let's get straight to the point. Cancel the wedding and I'll help you to get your company back."

Adrian looks pissed off this time and drags Nadine to go outside his house.

"You really like to throw away your toys when you get bored, huh? Not just that, you broke them first and left them like a piece of trash."

Nadine was triggered by his words and lost her calm a bit.

"You're not my toy and not trash. You should be grateful that I will be canceling our wedding! You can be together with Olivia again."

Adrian is shocked when Nadine shouts Olivia's name. And grab her arm with force to threaten her.

"If you do a wicked thing to her, I will never forgive you! And you can't cancel the wedding, never."

Nadine whinced again because of his strong grip.

"Hiss.... You should be happy with my plan. Why are you against it so much?"

Adrian releases his grip, seeing Nadine in pain. And trying his best to stay calm.

"Listen, Miss Have Everything, I can't cancel the wedding because my father has already sold the company and all our property to your father."

That line gave her a shock. She never knew that in her previous life.

"What!! I've never known that deal."

Adrian snickered again and looked at Nadine with a disgusted gaze.

"Like hell you didn't know that. You tricked my father first and made him bankrupt to force him to sell his company!!!"

Nadine still has quite disbelief about what Adrian spouts at her. She has never done that scheming thing. This was the first time she heard about this.

"Wait.... Wait... Are you sure your father sold your resort to our company?"

Adrian rages again and shouts at her. His usually calm and gentle self was gone for a minute.

"Then tell me who it is!!! Your father didn't know either why my father chose to sell his company!!!"

Nadine is still thinking about this.

"And why does it matter about our wedding?"

Adrian really doesn't know what happened to Nadine. Because she really looks like an innocent girl.

"Miss Merrick, because of your selfish wish to marry me, your father has a deal with my father. Our marriage will become our guarantor, he will give me back the company after I married you for 5 years."

"Wait.... Wait ... Trust me, I don't know about that."

Adrian still didn't believe it and just snickered.

"Huh don't act like an innocent maiden."

"Well... The first point is true, I'm the one who tricked your father with that fake project but about the sold company matter, trust me I don't know about this."

Nadine told the truth, she just tricked him with that fake project, not forcing him to sell his company and make that agreement with her father.

"Whatever you say, I won't cancel the wedding. Because I want to take my company back. Even if I had to go through that hellish wedding for five years."

Adrian still refuses to cancel the wedding.

"I can talk to my father. But first, I need your agreement to cancel the wedding."

Nadine tries to convince him again.

"Huh? And he will throw you a knife this time. Miss Merrick, you are the one who wants to marry me and drag my family to an unfortunate event. And now you want to run away after you've got what you want?"

He doesn't believe her and is still shouting at her. Nadine wants to defend herself but Adrian cuts her word immediately.

"Miss Merrick... I don't know what's wrong with you. But your father has clearly said that he won't support you if you don't do the contract. He doesn't want to lose his face because you've cancelled the wedding. And I don't want to lose my family resort."

"Like I've said. I will find the way. Just refuse the wedding."

Nadine didn't want to lose to Adrian's statement.

"Miss Merrick, it's too late. This is all property and my family life is owned by your father. My father left a lot of debt because of your trick. And left that agreement as his final way to save our resort."

Adrian let out a heavy sigh.

"Go on! Cancel it.... Do whatever you wanna do! But I will find a way to get revenge on you."

Nadine looks so frustrated. She doesn't want to repeat everything and canceled her wedding. On the other hand, her husband doesn't want to let her go because of his father's agreement.

"It's just the same thing, it would repeat again if we held our wedding."

Nadine let out her frustration.

"What is the same thing? You ruin my family, so don't ever think that you will live easily."

Adrian threatens her again.

"But wouldn't you feel sad if you broke up with Olivia?"

Adrian gritted his teeth and shouted again to Nadine.

"Don't bring her into this mess!!! She doesn't deserve it!!"

"I..."

Riiing Riiing

Adrian took his phone and looked worried.

"Aunty? What? I'll be right there."

He drags Nadine out with a worried face.

"Is aunty okay?"

Nadine seemed worried too.

"I don't have time to fight with you."

Adrian forced her to get out of his house.

"Wait.... I can drive you to the hospital."

Adrian clearly doesn't want to take Nadine to hospital.

"I will just drop you there and go. It'll be faster than calling a taxi."

Adrian was still agitated about Nadine's offering but he gradually accepted her offer.

"Just drop me there. And don't make a fuss."
