Celine Pov (FLASHBACK)

I looked at Nathaniel in awe of how magnificent he looked. There are people you meet once and just fall for their aura—Nathaniel has a brilliance that pulls me in; it’s like a moth to a flame, like bees to honey! Ugh, I can’t explain it.

I called his name when I noticed him, but unfortunately for me, the feeling was not mutual because he only saw Cassia—an angry-looking Cassia.

“Did you make it a mission to bump into me today?!” Cassia asked him very rudely, might I add, but he didn’t seem to mind.

“Point of correction, lovely—I did not bump into you in the morning; I saved you,” he said with a teasing smile on his face.

Did I mention how handsome he is? Oh my gosh, I need to control my puppy eyes before someone notices, I said in my mind as I looked at both of them. But they were so engulfed in each other that I’m sure I looked like a third wheel.
